Nahh cos the M3 Csl transmission let it down bigtime. If manual swapped then sure but the E39 M5 is untouchable it is still Bmw's best car ever built. It is so good that they couldn't do it again with the E60 M5
@@MIKEK3NT you have a good point but maybe regular e46 m3 CS then, the e39 steering is not so good because of the ball steering
@@intelligentcarreviews8592 Yeah I own one and it feels heavy cos of the recirculating ball bearing system. But other than that no problems even if it does consume a lot of gasoline

Beautiful sounding car! About to install Unicorn Headers, Unicorn Test Pipe, Unicorn X Resonated pipe and Dinan Mufflers on mine! Cannot wait, will be making lots of content.
Amazing sound and I can testify to it as the video does not do it justice at all! Pure exotic sound. Good by muffler delete, Eisenmann exhaust here we come. Thanks Ryan for letting me ride along in your fantastic E39 M5!

In the middle of installing medusa headers with he high flow cats and I can not wait to rip it after. Ryan mentioned he thinks the headers make the car sound like an American muscle car but in this video the car sounds like a refined German muscle car...will have to see for myself soon. One thing is for sure, the evolve medusa headers are very nicely manufactured.

stock cats are 400cell too, as far as I know. That was the reason I changed mine to 200 cell from HJS.

you better hurry up these cars are 20 yrs old already! I wouldn't mind buying a 150K m5 in good condition if the owner didn't treat it like a honda
@@McCarthyism_by_TH-cam I really don't care about the milleage as long as the drives nicely and has no accidents on record, rather drive a proud 600k km one than one that's not been driven and just kept in a garage.

That metallic sound you have when reversing and taking off is your center support bearing. Have the same issue on mine.
the metallic clink sound is what you're referring to, right? I have it on mine as well everytime I drop the clutch

Gotta have Eisenmann with an E39 M5. I'm in the minority of preferring the sport over the race, but they both sound incredible.

Hello. Is there a problem if I put an eisenmann gasoline exhaust (from 528i e39 193cv) in a diesel car (530d e39 193cv)? I mean if the engine suffers

This is Jeff’s car, correct? If I remember correctly he had Dinan mufflers? Wonder what his thoughts are on the Dinan cans versus the Eisenmann?
Geoff's, yes. He did have DINAN but likes the Eisenmann better with this setup. DINAN starts to get raspy with other modifications beyond just mufflers.
