I have had 3 gen 1 Hayabusa's and a gen 3 Hayabusa, great bike but my 2018 ZX14R is by far my favorite, so fast! Faster than Busa and more comfortable.
6.2 and 300 pounds, those are the only two bikes that really fit me. If I did not weigh so much and a little shorter, I probably would get R-1 @@ZedHeadzx14r
I had a ZX14 nice bike love the ride but the tank was too wide for me. I’m only 5’ 09” and I still prefer Busa for a long haul but my ZX10RR for in town riding. But by far my most favorite bike is my ZX6R.
Funny I’m 5’6” 160lbs and it’s not an issue ZX14. I can still do the 360* kickstand trick with a Gen 1, so I’m not sure what your issue was… lowering link and raised forks 1” helps.
Nothing looks like these monsters. Reminds me of venom from Spider-Man, got a 09 zx14 black and green. Best decision I’ve ever made as far as bikes go. I’ve had it for almost 8 years and not a single issue.
Had both a 2010 and a 2013, and I would have loved a green like 2012, but the luck I had for deal was a all red sadly, The riding position is extremely similar if not identical, didn’t notice any difference, and for the engine I won’t say it’s drastic but the 2013 still has 100cc more and it’s kinda evident, my 2013 had a full yosh on it with a BMC air filter it was re-flash no speed limiter and unlocked, I did 210 HP at the back wheel and 126 lbs of torques 😍😍😍😍😍😍 with this setups the power difference was drastic it simply was always pulling very hard no matter the speed or RPM you are, it’s maybe heavy for some peoples to manoeuvre, but once you’re acclimated to it, you just can’t fall in love with that powers who’s always right there on demands.
Clean sleds Kinfo! I have a 09 special edition The Candy Burnt Orange. It Ain't Stock TRUST! However that Silver is CLEAN. The Gen2 green isn't my thang, don't get it twisted, it's still Clean too. You have some runners! Im in the market for a H2 in a custom Candy Burnt Orange Trim. Stay Up Kinfo!
Gen 1 with Gen 2 engine IS the “trick” lighter weight; they (drag racers) actually use Gen 1 cylinder heads on Gen 2 bottoms for head shape in combustion chamber (higher compression ratio) when tuned N/A. No abs b.s too
@@ZedHeadzx14r 10:4 my brother and I have been thinking about either getting one and restoring it or possibly custom building one just like I am doing my 2K1 Suzuki GSXR 1000 with a big fat 300 and a 16+" extension on it as well 💪🏽💯
No question that the Gen-2 (1441cc) is better than the Gen-1 (1352cc)👍 The Gray 14R (in my profile picture) with 100% stock engine makes 290+Hp (at 9-10 psi of boost) ❤
My gen 1 Hayabusa was more comfortable than my gen 2. I currently own a 23’ ZX14r and will say the ZX14r is just crazy power, and my Hayabusas can’t stay with it. Just pulls
I couldn't hear you clearly but it's on my end, sounded like you said there was no difference in the engine's between Gen 1 & Gen 2. There is a difference just in case you didn't kno. Both are great bikes
Thanks for watching! That was an early video, and I would love to redo it. A lot of viewers said similar comments. The silver bike is a 2008 gen 1 zx14, and the green is 2012 zx14r. Gen1 has a gen 2 motor in it. So I was playing with the fact that the 2008 could be called a zx14r since the motor is what makes it a 14r. Anyways I see a good amount of folks didn't understand that one. I sold the gen1, so no do overs, lol
Well considering the green bike is the 2012 Anniversary addition first Zx14r made I'm not sure what else to call it... And the 2008 has a 2013 Zx14r motor in it I think it's appropriate I think I'll keep doing me hater
I just brought 22 zx14r can't wait to jazz it up like these two bike great job
Sick bikes bro. I love them both.
Thanks Joshs
KRONOS looks clean as heck! But that gen2 Green!! is 🔥😱🔥

Always wondered about the comparison. The Busa has eluded me

I want to try the busa but ad luck would have it I keep getting drawn back to the Zx14r. One day

Beautiful bikes mate

Yes Brandon this bike offers so much. It's a cruiser, a sport bike, drag bike, torque monster!!!
Love the bikes man! I also own a 2008 ZX14 same color Silver/Black. LOVE THE KAWY PLATFORM
Thanks bro. Big kawasaki fan. I love them all but kawasaki is special

I heard the bottom end is better on gen1. They both are rippers
Hard to beat the filling of the Zx14

Thanks bro I really appreciate you watching. The 9 is a must have for me
Would love to see it. Post it
Gen 1 is ZX14, Gen 2 is ZX14R. This is how it is in Australia. I don't think it's any different in America
You are correct but The motor is the zx14r and it has a Gen 2 engine in it.
Gen 1 with Gen 2 engine IS the “trick” lighter weight; they (drag racers) actually use Gen 1 cylinder heads on Gen 2 bottoms for head shape in combustion chamber (higher compression ratio) when tuned N/A. No abs b.s too
Best comment 👌 we used Gen 1 frame and bottom end gen top end.
Awesome video new sub brother. Fellow nj 14r owner in the house
Thanks Alex I road with your military brother Mike in south jersey. The gsxr 1000 2020 red bike
Both these Bikes are nice. But I just wonder if they would have never discontinued the ZX9R how it would have looked today?? 🏍 👌🏽
Thanks yes the 9 is on my list for sure

The thing is, a lot of people missed that I said the gen1 has a gen 2 motor in it.

@dudebud72 I always wanted to try the busa but having the 14 I could never justify the purchase.
Pennsylvania ZX14R owner in the house! 14's rule! They are fast without a supercharger.
For sure
I couldn't hear you clearly but it's on my end, sounded like you said there was no difference in the engine's between Gen 1 & Gen 2. There is a difference just in case you didn't kno. Both are great bikes
Thanks brother I did say that for this particular Gen1. It has a gen 2 engine in it
Both bikes have the same engine. We put a gen 2 motor in the gen one
😎
Dont forget there is a ZX14 1st gen, and ZX14r 2nd gen. The deference is 1399cc vs 1441cc engine

The Gen-1 is actually 1352cc. Both engines have the same 84mm bore (with Gen-2 having 3mm longer stroke).
You've stretched both of your bikes, making use of those straight American roads, doesn't need to corner
Who told you that the 2008 was a ZX14r? They lied. Let them know that 🤣
My God, man, do people just comment before watching the vide?. You got to be kidding me? It's impossible to be that slow
No wonder he's confused. He doesnt have the black one 😜
ngl this seems more like a personal mod comparison rather than an actual bike comparison , especially taking engines out of the equation.
Correct I stated as much at one point in the video. Thanks for the feedback!
The zx14r did not come out till 2012.
STOP CALL THEM ZX14R
Well considering the green bike is the 2012 Anniversary addition first Zx14r made I'm not sure what else to call it...

I agree the gen 2 are ZX14R. BUT SOME folks don't know
Crazy y’all either didn’t watch the video or weren’t listening to what was said in the video
too bad both are ruined with the extended tails. Ruins handling.
I don't drag knee so I wouldn't know but never had any issues with handling. Sure helps with banging that throttle though
@@ZedHeadzx14r No, but also without knee down it handles like a wet towel. But to each its own i guess.
I thought about stock but you know it works for my needs. I just enjoy the ride I'm not a pro, so it's offers more than I can handle
Where did you upgrade the rear wheels, and how much did it cost you ?
Also, the rear tyre size is 240?
