SUPER FUN FACT: if you stay still long enough your character will stretch. And if you stay still longer they will turn around and make the pikmin closest to them stretch too in sync :D

Agreed! I haven’t played any of the main series games (although I briefly tried Hey! Pikmin) so his explanations of things from previous games are also really helpful.
I've never seen a letsplay by someone so knowledgeable and appreciative of the game's music as you, I love hearing you react to familiar jingles the way others would to easter eggs and callbacks
I never knew gow much I needed to hear Scruffy's celebratory "Let's go", but I was given it not even 90s into the video and I suddenly feel like we're actually on the good timeline.
I love this series already, Scruffy has such a soothing voice, and I love hearing their thoughts on the games sound and visual design. Its not just fun and satisfying to listen to, but informational and has already given me a bigger appreciation for the Pikmin games than I already had. Can't wait for more!!
I didn’t even know pikmin 4 was properly announced, much less released until I saw the first video cross my notifications yesterday, and so far watching scruffy play this has made me nothing but happy, and I can’t wait to see the rest!

I've never played Pikmin before, and having all the little references and remixes of old Pikmin games pointed out is making me want to play the whole series so I can hear it as well
I adore the fact that there's basically no editing or cutting out the boring bits to this series, yet I barely notice since there just are no boring bits! You pick up on every little thing and have some great interesting commentary to share.
This game is a big one, but I'm here for every second of it! Your commentary is a lot more fun, light hearted and focussed on the art and music than I've heard from the speedrun fanatic side of the Pikmin youtubers and I can't wait to hear what you have to say about all the treasures, bosses and call-backs in this game! PS can't wait for the episode that's just Scruffy reading the biggest Piklopedia yet.
scruffy is so much more patient and appreciative of small details then i was in my playthrough. i expect a proper video on this game similar to scruffy's other videos may be on the way after the playthrough
I love the voice you gave Collin, it really just... FEELS like someone you'd hear over a radio or on an old training tape. Also, took me this long to realize their name is a very obvious pun on "Calling" because of them being the communications expert.
It's a double pun, actually! All the rescue corps members have dog names; Collin's a border collie, Erma Shepard is a German Shepherd, Russ the Russel terrier, etc.
I love how you read the characters' dialogues, you give a lot of charm to it. And I also love your insight of the music of the game! That is also one of my favorite parts of Pikmin 4, it references a lot while also being pretty new.
By the way in case anyone didn't know or notice, periodically you'll unlock some non-gameplay related Olimar logs when you reach certain points; Collin will say a line about the place you reach and a "new voyage log" pop-up will appear, but it's easily missable and you need to go out of your way into the voyage log menu to read them. They have some cute Olimar anecdotes so i know Pikmin nerds like Scruffy would enjoy them :]

I watched this series as it came out religiously a few months back, like I was there usually as every episode was uploaded and now I’m coming back and watching through them all again while. Crunching hell out of making a fursuit and god, I’ve missed these videos so much, this series made me fixate on pikmin so hard and it’s so much nicer than the shit I usually watch while I work… (I usually watch horror shit and I work when I’m home alone so it always freaks me out a lil bit) Shoutout to scruffy, the only TH-camr ever actually.

this is my first full look into pikmin 4 too, im happy to be guided by someone with so much love and knowledge regarding the series. scruffy's energy makes me excited to see whatever's next!
The animations in this game are one of the highlights for me! The first thing I noticed is how the hocotatians/rescue corps/whatever they are are emoting with the antenna on their helmets almost more than their bodies and it goes up from there. You should try to leave a group of pikmin and oatchi idling next to each other. They have adorable interactions!! Currently they're staying at attention in your group so only the sneeze interaction is happening but they have a few more!
As someone who beat the entire game within the first week of release, I can say your in for quite an adventure. I loved every moment of it, even if some parts are stressful. I won't spoil things, but might put trivia in the comments. Looking forward to your let's play ^^

NGL, this is the first Pikmin game I've played. I've been in love with the series since I was a kid, watching literally every let's play, trivia video, and so on forever. Yet I never actually pushed myself to play one of the games. I'm maybe halfway through this game (I think) and have been absolutely loving it. Until today. I went through a specific cave and got chased by a certain enemy (if you know you know) and almost shat my pants 😂
