This is a genius idea for a run. Oatchi only, only using Pikmin is 100% needed to progress. I will use Pikmin for bridge building though, I'm older now and my free time is sadly restricted. Gosh I really wish we got some Pikmin 4 DLC
Oatchi is such a perfect creature. Literally flawless and capable of outdoing the creatures the franchise is named after. Plus, he's the cutest certified Good Boy!
what the dog doin' its about ecocide and theriocide are only classify as such when a HUMAN does it, oatchi will be fine in court srsly tho, great video, siberian huski was a good line in particular tho what compelled you to spend so much time on this run, like bless you
I had the run started last year back when you could only play the demo. So the biggest reason was just wanting to try streaming some gameplay and upload the rest of the run, since these videos normally do well.
the item you said you didn't know is a yo-yo,it's a toy from the 90's (or well I guess it's been around longer than that, but I'm from the 90's so) for beginners (like me,I never got any better at them when I was a kid XD),they just go up and down, for people that are really good at them though, they can do all sorts of tricks with yo-yo's
It may look like a yo-yo, but it’s actually a Japanese instrument that dancers use to make clicking sounds. But it does kinda look like a yo-yo. (I’m sorry if this came off as rude or strict but I just wanted to share)
Also in the Piklopedia, Glow Pikmin deaths are still counted if they die to a specific enemy. Regardless that they are biologically not Pikmin, they still count as Pikmin in-game.
20:16 Considering the Emperor Bublaxes deflate upon defeat, odds are, they’re filled with methane gases or some other strong digestive gas. That’s what’s damaging Oatchi.
In CFaK, there's actually two different ways to skip the first bridge. The first and far harder option of the two is to have Oatchi rush across the chasm from a specific point with a specific angle which I've never been able to do. The second one which I actually only just learned about earlier today is to have Oatchi move the boss's corpse in the way of the air geyser so that you can land on top of its corpse, then bonking the corpse over and over while on top of it to move it over to the bridge, from that point you can just go over the bridge while it's raised. As for Sirehound, afaik you only need 90 bombs as all of the non-flying phases will perform bite attacks if the captain gets stunned by the elemental attacks it does, at which point you can beat those phases by feeding it bomb rocks. The flying phase isn't too terribly difficult to hit with regular bomb rocks, but it still requires 50 of them, so 10 for each of the 4 grounded phases and 50 for the flying phase.
Interesting, this run was started from before Pikmin 4s release (the demo) and continued until a couple months ago. So there might be a few other things that are possible to skip.
Fun Fact: An easier and sorta quicker way to defeat Groovestomp, and yes I call him Groovestomp, would be to have Oatchi to attack Groovestomp's exposed legs when he's in his red and/or yellow phase. As a result, Groovestomp will trip giving you a short window to attack. Hope that helps.
This run with only Oatchi looks more tedious or really long gameplay than a hard run. Once Oatchi is fully upgraded, he is a monster and could easily defeat every enemy. I didn't even know you could defeat the spiders with the dog.
That doesn't change my statement. If you use the glow pikmin power up, the glow pikmin go to Oatchi when you swap to him, causing you to throw them, meaning I can't control Oatchi. I mention that during the night mission at 16:06
Thank you! I also did an Oatchi only challenge for a while (as best I could while also doing glitchless) and watching all those TH-cam videos of everyone using loopholes bugged the heck out of me. "Well Glow Pikmin aren't ACTUALLY Pikmin..." "The helicopter thing isn't Olimar therefore it's legal" etc etc, like guys at least TRY to remember y'all put in your titles "only Oatchi".
I agree, some of the challenges out there take a pretty loose interpretation of what counts as using just Oatchi or challenges that are "No Pikmin" runs.
How about only pikmin Only using pikmin and no oachi starting after the tutorial because it might be impossible. if you want to then try from the tutorial it will be hard though!😅
In the last frost cavern, if you push the snowy blowhog all the way to the hydro jellies, it’s icy breath can freeze it - so no Ice Pikmin needed
its scripted to only attack the ice pikmin I've done quite a bit of testing
One dog, one world.

Pikmin 4 but you can’t stop throwing pikmin, if you either stop throwing or run out of pikmin, you have to end the day
You evil
Do it
I might try😂
Beating the armoured cannon beatle by throwing a pikpik carrot into its suck hole is so funny
AAHH VEGSTABLES
Oatchi is such a perfect creature. Literally flawless and capable of outdoing the creatures the franchise is named after. Plus, he's the cutest certified Good Boy!
That’s incredible you were so patient to do all this, very nice job!

Oatchi is the GOATchi. Who needs Pikmin?
Fantastic play! I often watch Press A! For pikmin challenge runs but I haven't seen this one before.
This is not press A!
4:48 that is a castanets one of the most goated instrument in nintendo osts

I fucking love oatchi
In the piklopedia glow pikmin aren’t counted as pikmin
they still aren't Oatchi

only oatchi and a couple random dingo events

underrated video, like ur humor lmao
One dog. One PNF404
Scott Pilgrim all over again
Btw, people found a way to avoid the blues near the grate.

Hi, I would like to know how the two Blue Pikmin near the bookend could be skipped at the Prologue.

19:36 you can set one of the d pad buttons to be your switch for Oatchi

@ oh makes sense sorry
captain punched foolix even if it was not needed, CHALLANGE FAILED
Love your channel!!!
0:30
Its kinda like saying you wont eat fruits but then you start eating tomatoes
The safe clearly only required 1 pikmin
300 days for this challenge. I would need therapy
Hi I’m back
You can feed the Glow Pikmin to enemies like Bulborbs. Or would that count as a use?
It'd technically count as a use, but it really depends on who you ask, for the most part throwing a pikmin counts as using them.
Thank you! I also did an Oatchi only challenge for a while (as best I could while also doing glitchless) and watching all those TH-cam videos of everyone using loopholes bugged the heck out of me. Can you do a challenge where you can only use one pikmin, no oatchi (unless chat allows you to)
'nah, I'd win'
Impressive, but isn't like at least half of this just mindless waiting/pressing buttons without thinking much
Over half the run is just collecting raw material or building bridges and whatnot. So yeah.
make more lore videos about lotf please
How about only pikmin
Only using pikmin and no oachi starting after the tutorial because it might be impossible. if you want to then try from the tutorial it will be hard though!😅
Yes
Gojo Halo purple one dog what is
This thing I think I should start running
Let him cook
No movement challenge next
Easiest challange ever (jk, no h8 😘)
Nah, I'd win.
holy shit
Dog
Pikmin can’t pick up 100 things it’s too hard not for purps though
Why is this possible? 💀
because of the items it's more of a least Pikmin uses run rather than a Oachi only run
Why are you using the smalimar character I made at the beginning of the vid
Invalid run he used his arms against foolix 😂
And he pushed raw material
No
Yep hate that dog, get the damn mascot out, pickmin has plenty of mascots without inserting a dog…
