@@astroletras Infertility in women is a medical condition, or at most, a birth defect. It is not a genetic trait. Taking "female hormones" might make a person look and act "female", but that will never change "XY" chromosomes to "XX". The reverse is also true....because -- Science.

@Allen T Imposing a mask mandate won't gravely affect the lives of others if THEY are keeping their own preventive measures and get vaccinated, get early treatment and try to keep healthy habits to avoid a the preventable comorbidities. On the other hand, having an elective abortion is COMPLETELY destroying a human life, and denying it it's own right to life. The poverty issue is a big issue that should be taken care, but not by killing those who are going to be born in that state, instead by increasing the hability of these group of people to access education and also giving them simple courses on Natural Fertility Planning which they can achieve with very little money and decide whether they would prefer or not bring a new human being to existence in a given moment of time. I live in a 3rd world country and the women seeking abortion happily come after being helped to keep their babies or give them in adoption and thank us for helping them and regret thinking that the child was going to keep her poor, they become happy loving mother's. We need to protect every life, from unborn to the elderly, not kill them to avoid the inconveniences.
I think abortion is totally fine.. just see the list of how many women had to go through forced pregnancy only because they got pregnant by a broken condom. I'm no feminist, but pregnancy can sometimes be fatal. Friend of mine died during pregnancy because her husband and family forced her not to get abortion.
And besides unless the brain is formed, the unborn child doesn't feel anything. Science has proven this many times before.

Just completed an internship where I graduated with the highest overall marks and won every held competition. This internship was an opportunity for us to learn and perform infront of major corps to potentially get scouted and hired.
The companies saw me execute and relative to many in my internship my success was by a large margin, meaning many underperformed. Yet I haven't gotten any offers. Ive gotten two major certs since then and still no luck. In fact, two of the ladies, who happened to be underperformers got to have their picks and are actually working now... while I can't even get the shit they rejected. Wtf??... what I've seriously concluded is that I have to be a God damn rocket science to even possibly land an entry level role. Shake my fucking head.

The only problem with that is you'd be dead too. There's a better answer and someone already did it! God is just and will punish sin but even though we are sinners, He loves US. Not the sin, but the PEOPLE He created. God is love (1 John 4:8) and He doesn't want any of us to die forever. So He found a way to separate people from their sin and to make us right. He sent His only-begotten Son to live the perfect life we should have lived but didn't, and then to take our sins upon Himself on the cross and to die for those sins to take them away. I’m in Radiology and had to sit through my female co-resident lecturing about how we should design lead aprons to be more light weight for women to facilitate women choosing to subspecialize in Interventional Radiology. She shared this complex system where each procedure room could be outfitted with special ceiling rigs to help carry the weight of the lead for the team who are usually in the room (the interventional radiologists, the radiology techs, the nurses). The protective lead aprons are maybe 10 pounds. Yes if your core is weak, this might give you aches and pains but…if you’re a woman and you choose a non-IR field bc you can’t carry a 10lb lead vest, I do not know what to tell you except that your thinking is a bit off. If you really want to do something, you will find a way. Rather than excuses and blaming the environment.

the argument about the minimum wage is very true. Milton Friedman argued that raising the minimum wage won't benefit the worker that receives it as he will be overpaid and probably laid-off to get a more qualified worker in or cut costs. Frankly, not a lot of people understand this, and there's where the trouble begins. Raising the cost of labour won't benefit anybody, it will only reduce the willingness of businesses to hire as it will be expensive to do so. The laid-off workers will get everything of nothing, not a part of something.

Are you sure that’s not at all manipulated by the fact that unemployment payments are inflated and extended and many companies are struggling to maintain a skeleton crew because people are making more without a job and by taking that part time job flipping burgers they’ll be taking a pay cut? Also McDonald’s installed a bunch of ordering kiosks at their locations so they could fire register personnel and reduce staffing costs, so maybe they aren’t the best example. Additionally the multi billion dollar corporation does not employ most of America. That’s the smaller non fortune five hundred companies that are barely breaking even and can’t afford to pay more. Finally your example isn’t even evidence. It’s your experience within a single city from a multinational fast food chain, and probably not even all the locations in the fourth largest city in America, so not exactly a suitable sample size.

If you were to delve deeper into the data which is used to create this great misunderstanding, you'd see many different pay gaps...and they all have reasons. What about the HUGE pay gap between young and old? Why do older people get paid more than young?....experience, education, maturity, full-time vs part-time. Obviously a person working part-time at McDonald's will make less than a full-time lumberjack. But when they present this data, they leave out the fact that one group has a higher number of individuals work part-time than full time. They choose a demographic and ignore the important differences between these demographics and present it like a class/race/gender inequality where the low earner is a victim of an unfair system when in reality it's mostly based on personal choices, market value and government regulation.

Min wage is forced unemployment. In low profit margin industries, like restaurants, the owners often can't absorbed the increased costs. It happened exactly like this in Manhattan when min wage was raised. jobs were cut and/or prices were raised. You were lucky to even keep your job, and I would argue that cooking requires a tad more skill than dishwashing, so perhaps his higher raise was justified.
No one deserves or is entitled to ANYTHING. You will get paid what the market will bear in a free market. In a centrally controlled market (socialist or communist) you will get paid what the state thinks you should get paid. You will experience shortages, a lowered standard of living, scarcity, corruption, demoralization and no way out of it if you stay in that market. People make rafts out of garbage and brave the ocean to get to America. Nobody is doing that to get to Cuba.
Is a free market "fair"? No, not in the social justice sense of the word but the free market, although sometimes harsh, is the absolute best economic system there is-it's the system of leaving things the fuck alone.

I have also seen prices go up and labor get cut. People don't understand that raising minimum wage causes cost of living and unemployment to go up.
