@@lowkeyarki7091 God was i triggered back when Sylvanas broke one of the most iconic artifact in warcraft history, and my brain hurt with such rage that i felt when we got what can perfectly be described as the burger king crown. Fuck this bullshit of an expansion, it made me go back all the way to Wrath of the Lich King at Warmane private server to play it, where lore and gameplay was actually good.

all DK's been having a critical breakdown in shadowlands cause the devs hate us cause they themselves play classes that are/WAS ez for DK's. Worst thing about wow is they cater the classes to content creators and the devs themselves to have a good time. F*ck me in the 4ss
I cried, I prayed, I... gave up.
The Jailer legit tells us that he wants us to live in eternal torment, and then later on starts rambling about how he tried to save the universe. Literally makes 0 sense.
I like that in shadowlands, you would expect to meet all the legendary characters like Grommash, Lothar. But what do we get? THE SAME FREAKING CHARACTERS FROM THE PREVIOUS EXPANSION!?
They dont care about good old warcraft story lol, it all ended after wotlk. I really want them to go back in lore before even classic coz very few know anything before classic/warcraft 3.
For like three expansions now, the whole story has been nothing but Anduin and Sylvanas.
Right? Not only them, but Blackhand, Orgrim Doomhammer, Sen'jin, Vol'jin, Durotan, King Llane, Antonidas, Graymane's son, Anduin's mother whom we saw only in comics, so many fucking characters we could have had an awesome and nostalgic conversation with. But naw, let's narrow it to the extreme where it's all about Anduin and Sylvanas. Of all the expansions that had such wasted potential, SL is the worst offender.
Yeah I don’t even play WoW and never have done and learned the lore because Captain Grimm was so funny, but even I can see that Shadowlands wasted so much potential given it’s the afterlife. All the best characters that died could have shown up at different points to help. Maybe even a group of them show up to help you just when all seems lost, against the Jailer.
They tried that in Warlords of Draenor. Brought back the WC2 Horde, including Grommash. We all know how that went.
I just wanted to point out, in the trial of Sylvanis the arbiter refused to arbitrate and just left it up to someone else
look at this way. He sees all the fucked up shit she is done. He sees that it was literally twisted fucked up half of her soul that got changed without her volition, still did a lot of fucked up shit later, which was mostly on her own accord, even if she was twisted by necro magic n shit? (Already complicated as fuck)
But there's also a part of her soul that didn't do shit except for being proud daughter of her nation, noble that cared about well being of people and overall was a good girl.
And know that shit got mixed up together in one being basically self tormenting herself and probably even more mindfucked/nuts than she was before, altough in a different way.
TL DR he looked at that shit and was like - FUCK THAT SHIT, I'm out.

I lost my shit at Baine heroically sitting. That is perfect.
That’s when I lost it. Then during Jaina’s rant when the camera zoomed towards Uther’s face, I lost it again. Captain Grimm is great at making me laugh.
The worst part is we spent this whole expansion trying to figure out the jailer's motives and we still don't know.
because the writing team hadn't figured it out yet.
I just can't wait to find out who is manipulating the bad guy that is manipulating the bad guy that the jailer was attempting to save the universe from.
I’m glad that he read the book at the end, since I feel like most people would have missed that. I know I didn’t stop to read it until I saw a comment pointing it out, and that’s probably one of the funniest parts.

They should’ve included the scene where Arthas was just a Wisp and Sylvanas just told him to fuck off

They kind of addressed it by omission of any Arthas reference outside of the premise.
The Winter Queen punching killed me
While I'm sure people would have gotten on Blizzard's case for being lazy the crown of wills would have looked better if they literally took the helm of domination, spray painted it gold and turn the blue gem on the front green. And that would have looked a hell of a lot better then what we got.
As somebody who's mained a Tauren since vanilla, I am disappointed in the way Blizzard treats them. Baine is a passive dweeb who never does anything. All of their religious beliefs (Tauren druidism) are corrupted versions of the "correct" Elven Elune-worship. Tauren basically never get their due in WoW and they never have. They did my boy Baine DIRTY in this expansion.

I forgot where I saw it but I remember reading that Baine was supposed to have an actual story in Shadowlands that involved dialogue between him, Cairne, and Huln Highmountain.
It's disappointing it never came to fruition.
correct ? the "earthmother" is Azeroth is it not ? worshipping a titan might be preferable to some deity who was apparantly all too happy to let her followers burn to death and just blind enough to not realise what would happen to them afterward.

The hilarious part is that we go to so much trouble to make a new arbiter and the first thing he does is let someone else do his job for him

What blizzard should do is make a wow animated series. Write the story from the perspective of a fresh wow character and go through the story as the player would. They could add different start positions with different starting races for different story plots and then progress them to meet up and then do it from the perspective of a group pushing content dungeons quests grinds etc. And each season or block of seasons can be the different expansions and progress through them. One I think this would be cool to see the wow game story play out in a more exciting style and two it would then give new viewers the idea of oh yeah I would love to play a mmo like that and then to realise oh snap there is a game about this show they could watch.
And that crown was super useful, since you still get MCd during the Jailer fight.
i really like how Valdhir's artwork, composition, and colour improves continously and it just shows the potential of an actual animated series
I feel like Shadowlands was really depending on being able to do retcons during Reforged. Add new story to make players who have already played W3 to death have to play it again in order to understand shadowlands

WOW - Anima: a formless cloud of poop marks the destiny of Arthas hero journey & the conclusion of the last chapter of an epic journey which began with the earlierst Warcraft 1,2,3 RTS games.

Yes. FFXIV Anima is just copy and pasted from FFX. Its a cool character/summon but it was not made up for XIV.

@@lc9245 I agree. I like it when they add things like that. As a fan of the franchise since the PS1 days its cool to see nods to the games. They are also done with a bit of flair and style that does make them seem unique.

When the story ended i was to much happy that the story ended to pay attention to the revelation, so I can't even feel bad for the jailer, I don't even know what I stopped.
22:55 Those pictures are so freaking great, if they told the story of warcraft through the adventurers eyes in classic wow quests, would 100% watch that show, much nostalgia.
imagine seeing the story of world of warcraft retold in an anime but telling it from the POV of a player,
that shit could be as long as naruto or one piece
just seeing this guy work himself up by doing memorable quests and dungeons (like killing hogger, doing all of the different westfall questlines leading up to deadmines) and then even doing the raids
it would just be super fucking cool watching the same guy get scarab lord, kill illidan, arthas with a group of other adventurers he meets on his journey
and then once you get to the end of wotlk, a new season could start by following a completely new guy but instead it's a horde adventurer now and instead of starting in vanilla, this adventurer starts in cataclysm (because the old world got changed so we would need a new character to do the questlines and why not have it be the other faction for a specific reason i'm gonna mention at the end)
and once again you see this horde adventurer work his way up through cata, MoP, WoD, Legion, BFA, Shadowlands and then finally getting to dragonflight where there would be a twist in the story
instead of beating every raid, he would skip the second because some other adventurers already beat it so he didn't have to do it
and for the final raid of the dragonflight expansion, they could be getting their ass kicked and then at the final moment the old guy from the first season the alliance guy just comes in with his group to help the horde and together they beat the final boss of dragonflight
the reason for that would be the faction imbalance that we've seen in "recent" years, so the start would be alliance just doing their thing and then from cata onwards you only see the horde perspective since the playerbase shifted towards horde a lot more
but as we've heard blizzard is apparently gonna do something about the factions in dragonflight (we will potentially be able to play with the other faction) that would give the anime a reason to show the factions actually working together
obviously there could be a bunch of times in raids where horde and alliance help each other even before the dragonflight expansion when it makes sense (for example icecrown citadel) but those would be more like "forced to work together" rather than actively helping each other just because they want to
also as i said, something of this scope would take an extremely long time and it would need to have hundreds of episodes (or could just be rushed a lot but i think that wouldn't make it very enjoyable)
or they could just retell the story from the POV of arthas or other major characters to make it a lot shorter, but we've already seen that done a bunch of times, seeing it from the pov of an adventurer would be a breath of fresh air and it would give them an opportunity to talk about things like the defias brotherhood or the scarlet crusade which are just small stories that could never really get an adaptation otherwise when compared to something as grandiose as the damn lich king or gul'dan unless the entire anime is just focused around them in specific
I dunno, they can make a whole live movie for the first war, but I dunno if i trust them with a season of Anime, they'd probably go for budget CGI worse than ingame graphics. Remember, activision blizzard is a poor multibillion dollar industry giant, they can't afford to make a cartoon.

As a returning wow player from warlords I will say during legion this is the first time I've got a general idea of what is going on and the voice acting is really nice. Just got to the necropolis area? Place is really cool.
I like the content. Since I’m busy with life and work, these vids are a great way to get the cliff notes and summary of the daily goings on.
Shalamane creates light echoes of the wielders or smth iirc, so those were just light echoes of Varian and Saurfang, not their actual souls

As cool and (extremely, for me at least) nostalgic that animation was, if Blizzard now creates an anime of sorts or whatever... Oh boy, the reactions will be juicy. Be careful what one wishes for.

I'll bet hard money that Dragonflight will not even TOUCH on who the "real big bad" that scared the Jailer really are, it's most likely gonna take atleast 2 expansions to re-visit that storyline and the "real threat".
to public apps on play store you usually have to do the application way before it being ready and there's a long process for it to be accepted, so probably the legal team decided to tick the "random" option to leave the possibility open but in the end they decided to not do it, it's totally normal

As a writer I can confirm that the more you refer to the elements of your story as "very interesting" the more interesting they are.
random could mean what's available to buy every day, like not everything is available all the time and the daily stock is random, not the actual items themselves

So that part about the WoW mobile game not having loot box mechanics is probably true BUT
Notice how they don’t say anything about being able to go buy any hero you want? The way they worded this sounds like there’s a special rotating daily bundle with specific heroes. You see what the bundle contains before you then buy a bundle token and buy the bundle.
He tells you to scroll down to the bottom of the shop for these bundles. What does the rest of the shop contain?
So they basically PR worded their way around random loot box mechanics by saying that you can see what is inside of these specifically mentioned bundles prior to purchase, but there’s no mention about what the rest of the shop contains AT ALL.
The rest of the shop might very well have RNG loot, but those bundles that they mentioned won’t.

4:13 I get that they wanted the Crown of Will to be the opposite of Domination, and that's why it looks so open, because the domination looked like a prison as mush as kick ass armor. But really, they couldn't have made it look like something that belongs to quite literally GOD of the AFTERLIFE!

I think Shadowlands was great in a single aspect, and I do mean that: I love the Brokers man, their funny accents, the whole culture and vibe of them, they are, quite possibly my favorite edition that WoW has had in YEARS. Literally years of lore have built up to the moment this masterpiece of a race could be added to the game, a species devoid of flaw in all regards.
Oh yeah, what about the rest of the expansion? Uh...it was shit

Skipped over the fact that we literally bring the second last sigil from a hidden permanently locked vault Zovaal can’t access right into the lair of The Jailer himself to give it to his prisoner.
Also the fact that all the Covenant leaders and forces are just missing during the final fight over the Arbiter.
