- Hey everyone! This episode is rather random but I like to film what I am up to regardless. I drive through Great Smoky Mountain National Park, visit my old work, and just camp around Western North Carolina. I loveeee NC so much. Such a beautiful state. I do have plans in the near future to return and do a more thorough road trip but I was on a deadline and had to move out. Love y'all and see you in the next one :)
PS: When this video comes out, I will be in another country without wifi. So, it will take me a bit longer to respond to comments.

It's so sad that such a beautiful part of the country was so devasted by Hurricane Helene. And tragically, many lost their lives. So glad you dodged that catastrophe. Looking forward to your next destination. Continued safe travels.

Always remember to watch the weather forecast especially in the mountains. Glad you were able to see the blue ridge parkway again before it was flooded. Be safe out there.
Gatlinburg, TN is my favorite place to enjoy the Smokies. Great shots!

One thing I have learnt by watching the traveller blogs from the US is uncertainty of where you're going/ been. That is not enjoyment. I for one would not do it. Say what you will but when you travel in my country, NZ , that fear is not there. And I will add, the scenery and beauty is hands down, so much more beautiful then the US. My 2 cents worth .
And your drone shots make me wanna buy my own drone.

Kinda sad to watch as I also see the devastation there now. One of my favorite parts of the country and I was just there in September. Can't believe it's real. Praying for the ppl and glad you enjoyed the visit.

I spend a lot of time in the are you were in. The road you turned around on can get pretty rough. But it has some beautiful view at some of the camping spots
I love North Carolina I've been kinda all over the state but the 2 areas I've have been are Asheville, Jacksonville and for a brief time wilmington I've also been to the biltmore estate I went there when I was 15 on a high school class trip and my principle's family had a fantastic lodge up there in the mountains close to Asheville.

I would have been interested in your old job. I'm guessing you beat Hurricane Helena there and got out before it hit. Did your home get battered by Helena or did it not go that far north? I've got a feeling the hurricane changed travel plans for the long term.
Even if your videos are a bit random, can't plan for everything, they are still fun.
My home is far enough north that I was fine, but a lot of my friends and family in NC weren't very fortunate. Sad stuff down there.

Bad timing great smokies just were destroyed by hurricane yep , 5 star lifestyle chimney rock is 100% gone taken of the map by floods.

Since you just posted this 4 hours ago and it's raining during your videoing you must have got out of the area just in time. This area was decimated by Helene. Bridges and homes washed away and so many people are still missing. Stay safe.
