A Tour of Our Mexican Home

- Hey everyone :) Welcome to our home in Mexico! My father bought the lot 17 years ago and slowly built a house on it. We've been coming here as a family for 14 years at this point, and we are still alive. If you ever go to Mexico, just don't drive at night. Watch out for the rattlesnakes, scorpions, cockroaches, centipedes, wasps, spiders, sharks, jellyfish and mice. As my father says, "Mexico is ping pong balls between Heaven and Hell." Ok, bye for now and I hope you all enjoy :)
What a great vacation retreat! And being so close to the water is a big added plus. The tile in the first bathroom was beautiful! And perfect for Mexico. I didn't know your mother was with you. That's wonderful to be with both parents. I used to live in Tucson so with the exception of sharks and jellyfish we had all those critters. And lots of coyotes.
Your advice of not driving at night is very important! I made that mistake once. I was headed to San Felipe to spend the weekend partying with friends. The route was desolate and dark. At one point I came around a bend to a roadblock of trucks. Out of nowhere came several men armed with AK-47's. They did not look official at all. They made me get out of my VW bus. They kept asking me if I had any guns. I kept telling them no and my friends were expecting me. I didn't know if that would help but I was desperate. They searched my vehicle. I really thought my number was up. Oh, and they reeked of alcohol. They suddenly and unexpectedly let me go. Believe me when I tell you I went as fast as that old bus would go. To this day, I don't know who they were or why they stopped me.
It would be great to see a video of you and your dad surfing. Have fun and continued safe travels.
Nice place, good job dad
Thank Sydnie. Interesting videos! Thanks.
Thanks for the house tour, Sydnie. A cool house in Mexico that unfortunately is very hot. Sorry about all the creepy crawly's and other critters that wreak havoc and reside in your domain. I liked the previous video of that beautiful mermaid swimming with all the fishies. 🧜♀ Oh yeah... that beautiful mermaid was you.🤩 I didn't mind the sweating in this one. Mexico is difficult place to keep cool without AC and cool water.
Thanx for the house tour Sydnie! I love the bathroom!
Sydnie I am so sorry for missing your last month of videos on your brilliant channel due to me losing my mom due to cancer in the last few weeks so I am back looking forward to seeing your channel love your Aussie family friend John ❤❤❤
That’s cool. That bathroom is beautiful!!
That's so cool you can go on top of the house and chill there see the sun set, awesome🌅
glad to see you again beautiful thanks for posting
The building the property and the music has a "Scarface" appeal to it. Nice
Great job on the tile work in the bathroom!
Nice.
Beautiful colors on the painting. Not bad at all. I like it👍🏽
If you lay some cool quilts down on top, you could probably sit on your down feather couch without becoming overly sweaty. ☺️
Just make sure they’re not too precious or they’re quite replaceable because they’ll definitely get wear and tear. 😊
Also, you need those cheaper metal bunkbeds that I grew up with! Completely termite-proof! 😂
I’m fairly certain you have a cistern. 🙂
Also, if you use unscented bleach, you can totally disinfect Mexico‘s water. You’ll have to research the ratios, but you can totally disinfect Mexico‘s water and I think it’s quite easy to do. I think you have to wait a grand total of 5 minutes. And chlorine evaporates from water within 24 to 48 hours.
Thanks for the tour. 100 degree heat , how is the water very refreshing.
I Enjoy Your Content Very Much Sydnie! You're Doing a Great Job! Have a Great Weekend Everyone I've Subscribe! Mike, From St. Louis, Missouri.
What part of Mexico? Like by a tourist area? I think that makes a big part is location. I had a small condo in Mexico for over 10 years. Once I moved to WA state I sold it. Really miss it.
Your house is beautiful!
Very nice house he built. No ceiling fans at least? Do they use too much power. Thanks for the tour. Stay cool!
Aren't you afraid of scorpions stinging your foot at night? 😅 (btw what a fine house! looks very cozy)
I'd love to hear all about the solar system in the house...
I wonder if the termites would be as bad if more people were in the house more often. It doesn't seem you can get rid of the mice issue for any length of time. It is a bit strange for Mexico to get that much rain at one time regardless of where you are at.
That’s sick!
Looks like East Cape near Shipwrecks

Nice house, but I couldn't stand the heat.
Mexico is a winter only destination for me.
How dare u sweat madame.
Couldn’t edit it out?
(tee-hee)
Will you please get that poor dog from the last video or at least feed and water it?
Eveb though you were all sweaty, you are still beautiful!!!!!
Montezuma's Revenge. That's the sickness from the water caused by bacteria. Yay. Mexico!!!
Has Dad considered filling the roof w/solar panels so u could run the washer/dryer and ceiling fans in every room?
Prob wouldn’t b able to generate enough pwr for A/C.
If the stove is gas, couldn’t he have a gas, Generac generator installed to run A/C?
Guess he would have to place it under lock and key so it wouldn’t get stolen. (since u don’t reside there all the time)
Why no dam air conditioner?
