Thank you FAQ Show for inviting such a person on the show. The session is way too short though as I feel there is so much that we all can learn from your platform that you have provided for him to speak about his insights and investment knowledges. A suggestion but I'm not sure whether you would want to incorporate into your channel is to have long format interviews with esteemed individuals.
Possible for a 2nd interview with Mr Jalil? 😊

@@RyshaLee The overarching view was that Vincent Tan wanted to shore up Berjaya by making use of Jalil’s good image, networking to charm investors and analysts. And as well as to shore up and shake things up like he did at PNB, the stuff described by himself here. It worked but obviously these things weren’t for for the long haul, no one would kid themselves into thinking Tan would want to loosen up a tightly knit family controlled business. Some talents are good at improving existing structure, while others are better at charting the path from scratch. Corporate leaders often lack the creativity and more conservative, because their stake (corporate risk) is high. Entrepreneurs have nothing to lose, so they go all out.

This man is not impressive or charismatic enough to be a leader. He is shallow and vague and lack depth in all strata of investment business. Most probably a fake. It's difficult to take an Indian convert at his words. Be carefull be very careful.

    interesting
seriously, who would decide upfront to take on a prominent position for only 18 months?
heard your departures from both PNB and Berjaya were much more scandalous, to say the least 😁

It all about connections and whether you can articulate in English. I was NOT impressed. If you saw his Linkedin Profile - you can say JR had connections with VT for many years (they knew each other). A degree in Accounting and Finance is quite basic and not high finance like CFA. Knowing python code and MatLab a key requisite for investment banking. Portfolio and predictive analysis is the new norm and with computing power. Fixed Bonds and adding equity on top is not convincing as a strategist. This was not explicit. Tony Blair - YULK, a definite negative CV for the atrocities in IRAQ, BALKANS and LIBYA.

A great guy. Well experienced & exposed. Knowledgeable, dynamic & expressed opinions well on strategies. But that youthfulness lacks aura, authoritative figurative statue. He might not make an excellent CEO or MD but he will be a great and fantastic Consultant. Ps. A CEO/MD will never double all staffs salary BUT that is the exact advice from a consultant.

Not a good interview. Too many things said without actual value/substance and details.
