Buttoned mine up yesterday. Thanks for sharing this knowledge. I noticed that you used a small hole in the block while setting the tensioner to spec. This is a lot easier than the other method I've seen where you wedge against a bolt that you temporarily thread into the block from below. I sadly discovered the other method first and it was a huge PITA. Thanks again.
Can you recommend a solution for the “Gear Not Available “ warning. The can wont (at times) find 1st, 3rd, 5th, and reverse gears. I read that a newer battery would help that, please advise. Im in DC, maybe I can bring it to you. Its a Launch Edition.
Hi, one question. Do you need a special tool, to fix the camshaft wheel, while loosening or locking it? Or are the special tools at the vacuum pump able to resist the 60nm+25o without breaking?
When you tighten the bokts for cam pulleys do you rely on the lockung tools in back to homd or do you put a screw driver or something in the sprocket to hold while tightening?

The body is SMC not Fibre glass, world of difference.
looks like it is not a DIY job
DIY is not a catch all. This is totally doable for most mechanically inclined folks.
I thought by 2014 all cars had timing chains. What trash belts for this thing is going to be over $1000 and need to be done every 5 to 6 years.
