I have a 9'2" Boss Poly V. When hooking it up it does not seem to have full power. Motor is running but not enough to mount the plow. While trying to mount I manually tried moving the plow around to assure a good ground. It ended up burning the torsion spring in half. It seems like a bad ground but I cannot figure it out. I tried to run a jumper from the truck to the plow and still did not work. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
boss plows have lots of faults in design - if you have no power you cannot remove cover . cover is held on by 2 little thumb screw that get dropped in snow and gone , cover is made of hard plastic that is impossible cold weather {no flex} , one plug for plow and lights - with short plugs , they lose contact fast - lights and plow need to be separate harness - Manuel does not even list fuse type or size .. who would design something this bad ?
I had the same problems They changed it to pigtails that connected to the headlights and they worked but now I have the same issue again but if I disconnect the pigtails I have high low beams on the truck I think it might be the old wiring harness something must be getting shorted out and watch stops it from working.
I have a RT3 plow, just get a clicking sound, no movement. Any idea where to start with this? thx
