The wail lasts round 5 seconds. I know sometimes rapid tone switching can annoy people, but this video was just to demonstrate the tones avaliable. If you're looking for online usage, I can get some to you if you want.
@@sirendude I was more on about the last tone where you press the variant button on the Hi-Lo, As a game modder for siren's i would really appreciate any help you may have! As i remake sirens for all of the older siren models, ive done the 70s, 80s and now the 90s for California Services (LAPD, LASD, CHP) :D
Yes! I’m also extremely happy about it since it is also (most likely) ex-LAPD. I bought it off eBay. I had to give it a good cleaning since it was really dirty. Even had dead spiders and webs.
@@sirendude I'm also guessing mine was ex LAPD because it had the horn button wired to the siren function. Mine came dirty too but didn't have dead spiders in it. It did however have spiderwebs and some pretty jank wiring in it. There's also some dirt I can't clean off the switches. In my opinion, I think it's a good find.
Yeah, I got it from him. If you noticed there are also other signs that indicate it's LAPD. Such as "LA" on connectors. Also just how LAPD used Omega 9000s in the late 90s-2000s.
Impressive
What is the purpose/reason for all the tone switching during the rapid fire click on the wail? How long particularly does it last?

Nice! I have an 8001, the wail sounds a bit off on this one.
Nice! I assure you the wail is fine. Using resistors on a speaker can have some effects on it. But I don't want to annoy my neighbors.
do you or tim here know how to wire the microphone to the controllers for pa?
@@spvxter From what I understand, you need the pin connector and solder the wires to a microphone jack.
do you sell it ? ;)
