Installed my Delkevic on my 2021 KLX 300 in camo early this morning then hit the road for a long test ride. The new exhaust really does transform the machine into an even funner bike than it already is. Adds a bit more power across the range and the exhaust note is now hypnotic (I kept the baffle out). Really opens up the bike and makes it a more "serious" motorcycle. Sounds great with a much more pronounced "wrap"! I also REALLY like the way it sounds idling at stop lights - sounds like a helicopter! The installation tolerances near the rear tail light and fender are minimum but the muffler doesn't touch anything (though its VERY close to the fender) and no issues with plastics getting overheated or melting.Still, I think a tail-tidy will be in my near future.Despite the awful instructions from Delkevic, the exhaust install was pretty straight forward. and the kit itself is quality for sure. Took me about 30 minutes total. Anyways I highly recommend, the Delkevic exceeded expectations for sure. I do want to do an airbag mod but worry about it running lean - will wait until I get an EJK or similar.
I like the Delkevic products - good value and they look great. But that thing sounds LOUD!, at least in the video. How do you find it in real-life riding? My experience with aftermarket pipes on single cylinder engines is that they're just too loud and percussive. Sounds cool at first but then just ends up being tiring. Plus, I have too much respect for my neighbours to put them through that every time I want to go for a ride. Love to hear your thoughts.
Yea on this bike the one I got is a bit loud I have it put the baffle back in yet but I mite .. but I will say I ride it 60 miles a day to work and I’m real life it isn’t bad at all .. but wouldn’t won’t it any louder .. I have a Harley that is fing loud and that gets tiring on long rides unless you have good hear plugs ... my FZ6R has the same pipe as my klx300 and it sounds killer and not to loud ..
I was torn between the sm and the dual .. can’t wait to hear how you like it .. me being 6’2” I went with the dual just because it was a tab taller so it felt like it was bigger fit for me
When will the programmer be available. I got a 2021 klx300 about 3 weeks ago. Just ordered the same exhaust as welll. Just subscribed to ur channel. The programmer looks very promising
I’m making the final adjustments to it and riding it next week to let the company know how the final setting work .. so should be very soon !! Watch for the video with the last adjustments and a killer 0-60 run ..should be up this weekend.. shhhh stock it was 9.2-9.7 is what I got about the same as others . Now we’ll let’s just say it’s way faster sub 8’s and lower I’ll say just have to wait and see
What made you pick the 14" Delkevic over the other lengths? I am thinking about getting the 8" Delkevic for my KLX300, but it seems like everyone only puts the longer exhaust on them. Any info or reason why people arent running the shorter exhaust on these bikes?
Personally I like the look of the 14” plus it’s a bike a ride back and forth to work and that’s about a 50 min commute at 60 mph.. so keeping the sound down a little was on my mind. I’m very glad I did the 14”. I run it with out the baffle and it it loud .. but not to loud to we’re it’s no fun to ride .. plus the bigger can gives the bike a bit deeper tone..
@@gdough87 yea exactly the 9” would be very loud in my opinion for something you ride any distance.. now if you just want to be annoying then do the 9” .. but the 14 is more than loud .. with the baffle out
installed a delkvic exhuast on my klx 300sm and a few months later my bike doesnt run with 2k miles on it regret installing this on my bike dont do it i took good care of my bike and now it doesnt run
@@shaneswiftman, I was just kidding, if it's to loud you can wrap some silincer packing around the spark screen it will tone it down some, I've done it before !

Nice to hear other input on the exhaust.. I love it still .. and once you get the EJK it really has more power

Is the mid pipe less restrictive also? If it's not then what's the advantage of it over the stock one? And where can I find that mid pipe?
I didn’t change out the mid pipe… just the slip on
Did your mid pipe fit easy? I received mine today and it won’t line up with the screw. It only makes it about halfway

Yeah the dang thing has a catalytic converter in the muffler and man it was getting hot .. all gone now ha ha
