i really like this custom as its a car that Mattel would never print, as the movie has a lot of adult humor and not to mention the simulated hair which would be torture to a machine to mess with, your idea to use the grass as the hair was really smart and looked good on the final product.

Nice, You should (if you have time/funds to) do a monthly movie car mod. This might be the most involved, where Kitt would be a repaint and interior mod, the BIG RED tomato Starsky and Hutch would be a repaint/decal build, A-team would be a repaint/decal, then the Wheels of Terror might be a challenge.

Great job! That is one of the hardest "movie cars" to duplicate. I have made my own Mutts Cutts can as well. I used van more like an econoline (I believe Yatming makes it), although it was cheaper in quality. I used a light beige felt and it came out okay, but didn't look as shaggy as yours. To make the ears, legs, tail, ect. I used cardboard. I find it to be a very pliable material, good for almost any occasion.

That was a great job and a very good result. The van is actually to scale, if you look up the real Ford Transit Supervan by Terry Drury racing you will see just why it is that shape. It was made back in the 60s as a promotional tool for the release of the Transit van. As per usual Hotwheels made the original and then made numerous completely unrelated versions of the van.

I have come across many old hot wheels where the bases are in terrible condition and they break extremely easily. I respect that you took the time to show all the different ways you could do the accessories. But I think some simple sculpy or two part epoxy with some thickness to it would work best. 3D printing and sanding is a massive hassle when you are dealing with a soft surface detail and you plan to cover it in flock anyways. End result was great though.
