    Thank you to @jungroan for the idea for this video!
    Other notable mechanics not mentioned in the video: Life gain on hit 150+ single target hits per second(from Excess Sustenance), 100% stun avoidance(from tattoos), Corrupted Blood immunity (jewel implicit), use of Divine Blessing w/o EB (100% reduced mana cost), Aura effect modifier on Militant Faith, 80% reduced curse effect (jewel modifiers and tattoo), CI Impossible Escape (aura effect, extra curse, damage)
    Any Transcendence enjoyers?

      It's the Kryptonite for any pathfinder build, but it's actually not that bad, the worst case is in deep delve where monster will be alive for longer time, at 4.3k delve, my death to kill ratio for flask siphoner is 1 in 4. my flasks have around 20seconds duration, all you need is to kill it in that window, if you can also identify it quickly, you can blow it up with all your dynamite. THis guy died while didnt use single one dynamite means he's not well versed in delve.
      Outside of deep delve, flask siphoner will just melt.
      But if you play on HC, dont risk it, just logout

    PS - I ran a Transcendence build, slayer with max-Frenzy = max-Endurance; so 10 Endurance and 10 Frenzy charges. Two Precursor rings that grant additional Physical Damage Reduction equal to Frenzy charges - so from charges alone I was at 60 PDR. The remainder came from other sources (not Enduring Cry) to get to 90%. Very tanky once "ramped up", but not automatically tanky when starting from 0.

    The part about ele pen in delve is kinda true but for different reason, from a max hit standpoint, the % more is irrelevant since both cases they both take 1000 additional damage, but 90% is extreme case, because if you have 90% max res, you basically have to spend double the amount of character budget in one basket so they have less defensive layers after resistance dr. If you compare this to a fully decked out transcendence+eternal damnation+loreweave character, loreweave version will still be taking less damage after the ele pen. You may say with tattoo going away, the loreweave setup can't get 100% phys taken as, but in deep delve, the most dangerous mods are phys as ele and ele pen combination, mostly elemental damage, all deep delve builds recover full hp every server tick so as long as you dont get oneshot, you are fine. the takeaway here for consistent deep delve is to 4 small layers is better than 2 big layers

    • @dreamcore_gg
      @dreamcore_gg  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I probably should have clarified what I meant exactly: The build is taking the same extra damage, but it didn't invest into a ton of max res somewhere, whether that be Loreweave, or Melding or something else, and that opportunity cost is instead spend in other areas on the build. The Loreweave setup is definitely tankier, and obviously with infinite currency you can even almost solve phys damage entirely anyway (helmet, double corrupted dawnbreaker, double purity watcher etc.) but yeah, the takeaway is exactly that, stacking lots of layers, even less significant ones are stronger than going all in on one. Pathfinder is pretty much the prime example of that in action because it gets the flask layer for free from the ascendancy and it's free to stack others on top. It's a cool build either way!

    Hi, one question: if you are overcapped with resists, are penetrating hits do anything? I mean if you have for example 75 (140) res and hit penetrates 10, you still have 75 but (130) overcapped? Or it lowers your max res, and in this case you have 65?

    • @dreamcore_gg
      @dreamcore_gg  ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Penetration doesn't lower resistance like curses or exposure(these lower your total resistance), it bypasses the resistance you would be defending with by the stated amount. So in your example, a character with 75%(140%) resistance against 10% penetration would resist 65% of the damage.

    • @masterfoggy88
      @masterfoggy88 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its really strange the calculations on this

    • @Eragonoon
      @Eragonoon ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Overcapping does nothing against penetration, since your resistances stay the same. 10% penetration means that the enemy ignores 10% of your resists. Even if you have 75%(100%), it means you have 75% resistances, so if it ignores 10% it will hit you as if you had only 65% resistances.
      Though overcapping IS useful against enemies that reduce your resistances, such as by cursing or applying exposure. Going back to the 75%(100%) example, if you go on a red map with elemental weakness, assuming you don't have any reduced curse effectiveness, your resistances will end up being 75%(85%), since it reduces your resistances by 15%. Note that even though there was a curse reducing your resistances, it still ends up over 75%, and since that's your max resistances, any hit of that element will be dealt to you as if you had 75% resistances.
      For completion's sake, let's assume that on that same ele weakness map, you also go against a mob that afflicts exposure. Since exposure applied by enemies reduces your resistances by 25%, it would mean that your resistances would end up going from 75%(100%) to 60%(60%). In this case the reduction was big enough that it ended up reducing your resistances beyond your maximum resistances, so you would take damage with 60% reduction, since that's your resistances under those debuffs.

  • @affandi19
    @affandi19 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Can someone please explain how resistances end up +55% if every item and passive/notables have negative resistances modifiers

    • @7opher619
      @7opher619 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The build ends up at 55% because Transcendence (coming from the Keystone provided by the Militant Faith Timeless Jewel) reduces elemental maximum resistances by 15%. That takes the build down to 60% maximum elemental resistances. The build remains at 75% maximum chaos resistance. Then the build adds Eternal Damnation (an amulet that can be obtained from Lycia in Sanctum) which reduces ALL maximum resistances by 5%. Thus the build ends with maximum resistances for elemental being 55% and chaos resistance being 70%.
      As explained in the video the build further reduces damage taken via capped spell suppression, the less damage taken mod on elemental flasks (ruby, sapphire, topaz) scaled by flask effect, and Eternal Damnation which reduces elemental damage taken by 50% of chaos resistance (35% less elemental damage taken for this build). Lastly, the build fully converts physical damage to the three elemental damage types via physical damage taken as X modifiers on gear and the build uses the Transcendence keystone to have armour applied to elemental hits.
      To sum it up, the build becomes incredibly tanky and nearly unkillable because it fully converts physical damage to be taken as elemental damage. Then it reduces that elemental damage taken by resistances, less elemental damage taken from flasks, less elemental damage taken from Eternal Damnation, spell suppression (if applicable due to hit coming from a spell), and lastly armour which is applied to elemental damage taken via Transcendence.
      The last bit of icing on the cake here is that the build also uses a Progensis which is scaled by flask effect to take ~40% of the damage taken from hit and stagger it over the next 4 seconds, which Pathfinders can easily recover due to their insanely strong Master Surgeon ascendancy passive node which allows their life flask to continue ticking even at full health.

    • @dreamcore_gg
      @dreamcore_gg  ปีที่แล้ว

      Reduced aura effect and less armour mods are quite impactful, but the build can run ele reflect without any problem(deadly ailments, avg hit per magma ball is ~500, each reflected magma ball hits the character for a max of 20 damage, usually closer to 13-16 damage each, so life gain on hit pretty much full counters this and the life flask covers the progenesis life loss over time).
      Removing the iron ring actually breaks the build because it needs the flat -mana cost for molten strike, and the % reduced mana cost for divine blessing. It also provides onslaught too

    If this setup can reduce hit damage to such low level, maby finding a way to mixin Olroth's Resolve and ward mechanic would be op.
    Using the example in this video, having 401 ward (1336 with Olroth's Resolve) can mitigate the damage completely.
    If my math is correct, having 1744 ward (5814 with Olroth's Resolve) makes every single hit damage down to 0 (including Maven bomb and Atziri flame blast...etc)

    • @dreamcore_gg
      @dreamcore_gg  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the Ward angle has been explored a bit in some builds I've seen in the past, but the issue is being able to gain enough ward whilst also being able to get all of the other components to make up the defensive layers. With today process easily without any problem farming and tanking on t16. 2dmg and attackspeed mod minotaur killed standing in 1 place, do not care about mino and the falling rocks. Got sirus, king of the mist, shaper elder. Next buy gonna be nimis. Yesterday was playable, today godlike. The potion that allows you to all dmg can poison is not working or working differently than the dagger. 550e dps claw has like 10% dmg of the white press dragger. Interesting why but in test the differenc is unbeliviable.

      The build gets quite a lot of life, all of its stun avoidance, some reservation efficiency/flask recover & effect and a decent amount of damage from tattoos. With that said, it's less reliant than fe. Ben's PF I covered on this channel, which needs tattoos to gain a bunch of max res. Probably doable but you'd need insane gear.

    Completely relying on life flask for recovery sounds like invitation for a disaster. This must be extremely stressful in HC in particular. Also it's just anoying to manage.
    Isn't not scaling max res pretty much counter-productive this League? You can get so much +max res from Tattoos. 4 from Unnatural Instinct, 4-8 from jewel between Ranger and Shadow, 7-8 from Purity of Cold, 2 from gloves implicit and pretty much as much as you need from stray dex passives.
    What happens to that max hit once you disable Molten Shell?
    What I don't like about Transcendence or any other armour stacking approach is that you need to watch out for overwhelm / less effect of auras and less armour mods on top of every other usual suspects,
    Also no Bloodnotch and Immutable Force combo. It's so good. Lgoh serves as good recovery layer but only in combat.

    • @dreamcore_gg
      @dreamcore_gg  ปีที่แล้ว

      The build also has very high recovery from life gain on hit, with 150+ hits on single target per second, and has extra life flask charge gain investment so the life flask can be spammed a bit to maintain Alchemist's Genius.
      I agree that tattoos provide far easier access to max resistance than any of mechanic before, but it still requires significant investment to get a lot of it(fe. needs to find mana reservation for purity, needs to make up another -4 from melding, slot for unnatural, stats to replace gear implicits etc.) easier, but not easy to achieve.
      All of the max hit shown in the video is without MS, with MS it's way higher, you can check out the PoB in description to see how it fares vs uber boss abilities.
      Overwhelm does nothing against Transcendence, as it only affects physical damage reduction provided by armour or other sources - Transcendence makes armour apply elemental damage reduction instead.
      Bloodnotch/IF combo becomes weaker and weaker the more mitigation you have against hits, because other methods of recovery become more valuable as a result(because Bloodnotch is percentage based). Fe. the life flask recovering 2k life per second on a build that only takes 400 damage from a 30k spell hit, you can imagine how effective this type of recovery is in practice. Also, as insignificant as the ministuns are, they're still annoying for many players to play with, especially for a build which is facetanking damage all the time.

    • @ILikeGuns1992
      @ILikeGuns1992 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good input. Didn't knew that Transcendence doesn't care about overwhelm.
      Recovery point still stands. It's even more curious because he is playing in HC. Recovery in combat is good due to lgoh, bu I was talking about recovery outside of actively hammering on enemy.and If you don't press life flask in time / spam it all the time you will feel the dots. Just sounds stressful. I got to play with overleehc fife flasks in event - not the best experience. I am playing in SC and prefer 1000+ regen/second at all times for comfiness.@@dreamcore_gg

    • @7opher619
      @7opher619 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ILikeGuns1992 It isn't that Transcendence doesn't care about overwhelm. The build doesn't care about overwhelm because it fully converts the physical damage taken to elemental damage. Therefore there is no physical damage reduction for overwhelm to reduce. Physical damage is fully converted to elemental damage and then mitigated by elemental damage reduction sources. The build wouldn't care about overwhelm even if it didn't use Transcendence.
