Just a heads up- Eldritch Battery likely isn't making it to initial early access, at least not how we know it. I found an infinite recursive loop that scaled mana forever using it, and sent a private email to support. This loop involved Discipline, since Discipline scales off mana. This likely would have crashed the servers due to the ridiculous amount of nonstop math that would need to be calculated. Hopefully they get a fix by only calculating Discipline off of non-EB values, but I wouldn't be surprised if they played it safe this close to launch.
That's hilarious - I also heard some rumours that it was cut and some others creators had asked a few of the devs on the official discord. When did you submit the bug? Interestingly, Jonathan himself approved my footage for me to discuss that keystone, so it must have been very recent?
Dam hope it gets fixed I was planning on using Discipline for my minions and EB to stack mana so they get a beefy ES. I didn't consider Discipline on myself from a party and issues there.

This and how auras seem to be more supportive now makes me think you can really build a full-on support character Minions for solo play and full on auras for coop That's awesome
unwavering stance is for block builds, specifically ones that are making use of the active block mechanic since the duration you can active block is based on stun threshold.

This was confirmed by Snap asking the devs. It wouldve been incredibly not ok. That EB was only in a old build of the game.
Note regarding that last one (Pain Attunement) - the threshold for Low Life in PoE 2 is once again 30% of life, not 50% of life as it currently is in PoE 1.
Unwavind stance seens focused in block. When you ACTIVE block the bar that fill and fu ck you when it happen its based in your stun threshold. Glancing blows only works for automatic/passive block. Active block still 100%
In regards with the Giant's Blood keystone. The highest strength requirement BASES in PoE 1 are the Coronal Maul and the Impact Force Propagator at 220 strength. While the highest requirement for unique maces is 212 strength. So you will only need 440 strength, not 850.

@@wallacewest7963 you are right and it obviously makes more sense this way. You don't need to add every requirement for each piece of gear so why would it be the case when dual wielding. I must have gotten confused when Dreamcore talked about 850 strength.
The 50% "less" mana regen rate for mind over matter is a very well designed downside. It makes it so that the build is still a very compelling concept, but sneakily requires a lot of deliberate stat-distribution balance, that of which will also prevent other build categories from feeling inferior.
Note regarding that last one (Pain Attunement) - the threshold for Low Life in PoE 2 is once again 30% of life, not 50% of life as it currently is in PoE 1. As he mentions, we also don't know if Petrified Blood exists in PoE 2.
The only way i can think rn of getting to forced low life for pain attunement is using blood mage since it adds the mana cost to life as well, and using some setups like archmage which increases the amount of mana used and maybe some supports on a high cost skill to control current life. Then take MoM and play mana tank so life only becomes a secondary resource u have to control for those 30% crit dmg. Also Blood Mage has some crit damage stuff based on total life (Gore Spike) so, might synergize 🤔
Seems like zealots oath, with eternal youth and chaos inoculation would be good. If it works how I’m thinking you would always have full life and get regen and flask recovery. But the problem is if the regen scales of life pool then it’s ruined. Which would be a bummer.
Something to note with elemental equillibrium, it seems like pure upside if you deal all three elements in one hit. The wording makes me think it removes then adds exposure resulting in the monster always having all three exposures.
16:08 so if I get this right, it means that the amount of ES that will be converted into mana will only come from base gear defences ? And how can we precisely know how this works with CI, since we maybe won't be able to see the amount of ES contained in our character's mana pool. Will CI calculate all mana as energy shield (in which case we only need to care about mana scaling as Dreamcore suggests), or will we die as soon as the actual portion of ES is depleted, regardless of the remaining mana pool? Sorry if my english is unclear.
I feel like Blood Mage is gonna be extremely powerful in poe2 because it no longer stops you from reserving a bunch of things on your mana (now spirit)
Is the active block bar that fills when blocking your Stun Threshold? Or a separate stamina bar mechanics? If its your Stun Threshold then Unwavering Stance buffs your active block.
Any thoughts on this combo? haven't played the first game. eldritch battery: converts all energy shield to mana. eternal youth: life recharges instead of energy shield, life recovery from flasks applies to shield instead. zealot's oath: excess life recovery from regeneration is applied to energy shield, energy shield does not recharge. gets hp regen, when full hp you regenerate shield (mana), health flasks regenerates mana (and so do mana flasks). you could even add 'mind over matter' to change it to a more tanky build and make it so your mana takes dmg before you do and because both your flasks give mana; the 50% mana regen reduction doesn't seem like too big a problem .
I thought the same, but when you take EB Energy Shield cease to exist, I would be surprised if excess recovery from Zealot's Oath starts regening mana.
I believe there has been confirmation that Eldritch Battery is changed to do basically what it does in PoE 1 (according to Ghazzy, this has been confirmed by GGG as well). That is a hit against a potential overpowered Archmage Setup that uses ES as Mana, but a win for using the new MoM defensively and perhaps Acolyte of Chayula, as it means he can Leech Mana and ES instantly, protecting and using both resources very well, with or without Darkness being used~
Without EB as it was you would never want to use ES on a darkness build. Not unless the unrevealed node gives some insane bonus for reserving darkness counter to the chaos for unreserved. As darkness as it is is like a very small 600 damage ward for 10 seconds at lvl 100.
How would glancing blow whit the Merit of service shield? it as the mod "Allies in your presence have block equal to yours", they would get your full doubled block chance but would still block 100% of the damage?
the way that life is now, they could have blood magic also convert mana into life pre modifiers. unwavering stance could at the very least have take 5% less damage.

No Wicked Ward sucks hard, how do we keep recharge up then vs loads of small hits if we start it via block or spell cast using the int nodes on top of the tree
umvearing stance looks good for shield builds and shield charge. if we block everything on shiled charge i guess it breaks our stun trhreeshold as active block on "raise shield" skill

Permanent minions all have an active ability you can use. So we dont really know if Conduit is useful or not for summoners, there may very well be minions that can consume Charges to hit harder.
Based on wording alone without any actual testing. It swaps the effect, normally Life is Regen, but Eternal Youth makes it Recharge, however it doesn't say that it replaces Regen, so Effects to Energy Shield Recharge should affect this interaction along with Regen. Allowing you to get to Full Life quicker. Once at Full Life, only the Life Regeneration, which doesn't have an activation time like Recharge nor can be interrupted, will start increasing Energy Shield as long as you have full life. For example, if you can keep an Overflow of your life with Blood Mage, then with high Life Regen you could theoretically have a consistent source of perma Energy Shield Recharge. But that would need to be put to the test. (I guess this is just an example of a Zealot's Oath interaction, lol)

Look like Heartstopper will be very good with that one skill that prevent take any damage from ground effects for one second ?
How does Eternal Youth works with Zealoth Oath? Life is not recharged?
I believe life is recharged, energy shield is regenerated
Same question
