I had a Donkey Kong 64 one, it was a translucent green, with a translucent green controller to match it, also came with (you guessed it) Donkey Kong 64.
With a simple mod to the piece of grey plastic around the cartridge pins, you can sand down the tabs with a dremel, and both US and Japanese cartridges will work on your machine. I own both the Orange and Blue consoles.
jhoff1804 You know what's funny, at the time I watched this video when it came out "back in October 15th, 2012" not only will this video be 2 years old but at that time I was thinking about playing Digimon "mainly Rumble Arena for Playstation"
WOW I have waited years now for the Pikachu N64 to be reviewed ( I had thought about lending mine)... and you review the japanese model... oh well I still have my Pikachu N64 from my childhood (the blue one)
I remember when I was in fourth grade there was a contest here in romania where you could win a Pikachu N64 if you bought Chipicao Chocolate croissants and used the stickers that you found in the package to complete an album that contained all 150 G1 pokemons and send it to them.
i have a western pikachu nin 64... i was angry when i found out that it wasnt compatible with that rare disk system for the console... these consoles dont have that extension port on the bottom that all of the usual ones do
I have the blue one. What a cool machine. I only wish the controllers were better quality so the thumbstick on half of my controllers wouldn't be loose.
3:19 It's Quest 64! I actually enjoyed that on the N64 back when I got it. Then again, the RPG library for the system was fairly lacking, so that might have had something to do with it...
Mark, you should make a video where you pretend that you're just drinking a beer with the viewer. That way I could watch it and pretend that I'm having a beer with you. We all could. It would be awesome.
you might as well just get an emulater of the n64 and play with a wired xbox 360 controller then. I like the 64 controller though. it was different in a good way.
I had the blue version of one of those consoles, i never liked pokemon, but hell, that was a pretty console, too bad a friend of mine drop it and it stopped working... he's not my friend anymore.
Quest 64 ("Holy Magic Century" if you're outside the US or "Eltale Monsters"/"Eruteiru Monsutāzu" in Japan- at least according to wikipedia lol.) Hope this helps you rediscover some of that gaming magic from bygone days.
Wish my house was big enough for a video game room like yours. It's not that I don't have the money for those things I just don't have any space for them.
Wait....i hope you´re not thinking about "strange" things...lolol...i just told her that because having someone giving me games for free sounds like awesome friendship status to me ;) Cheers brother mate....nice vids you´ve got :)
This was the N64 model that took out the compatibility for the 64DD... which, despite how much that add-on failed, I found to be a stupid idea, on Nintendo's part.
I had a Donkey Kong 64 one, it was a translucent green, with a translucent green controller to match it, also came with (you guessed it) Donkey Kong 64.
Tommy Typhlosion I bought one of those for 15 bucks a few years ago lol
Love the Orange amplifier orange.
With a simple mod to the piece of grey plastic around the cartridge pins, you can sand down the tabs with a dremel, and both US and Japanese cartridges will work on your machine.
I own both the Orange and Blue consoles.
How did Pikachu know that I wanted to play Digimon? 0_0
He knows what you are thinking

Wow
Jay Musique youre eyeeeeeessss.
+cutemimi25 yet your picture is dawn from Pokemon
Mark's commentary just cracks me up in this one.....BECAUSE PIKACHU KNOWS ALL!
I still have the blue version. Played super smash bros a couple days ago :)
Now you can have the joy of staring directly at pikachu's taint when you look at your console!
Pikachu only knows one word ..... Pikachu
Mighty Monster Mega Battle Collecting Monster VS Monster Thing 7, best name for a game ever.
What about Ninja Baseball Batman?
Clicked the wrong video and found you here. Was not disappointed.
I had the same one. It was fun.To play on. Had a great collection of games with it.
i always stomped on my n64 before hooking it up and it works fine to this day
That is so funny. The Pokeball is the main power switch and Pikachu's right foot is the reset button. LOL!
What is the model of the trinitron crt tv he using?
hmm...thats a very solid point... any of those in eye liquifying orange?
Mark where do you buy or recive your games that are in the boxes (hard to find), thanks!
WHAT A BAEUTIFUL CONTROLLER IN PERFECT CONDITION. AHHHHH
WOW I have waited years now for the Pikachu N64 to be reviewed ( I had thought about lending mine)... and you review the japanese model... oh well I still have my Pikachu N64 from my childhood (the blue one)

If you notice on the manual, it says not to stomp on it.
NOT BECAUSE it will break. but because you will loose your foot
Worcestershire?!?! I live in Herefordshire! Good to know there are fellow CGR fans somewhere around me!
I have the blue one, PAL obviously because I live in the UK!
It's amazing and I will love it FOREVER.
+twistparade. ones in america
Is it wrong that I kind of want one of these?
I have a few blue ones here in my shop never even seen a bright orange one.
HEY THATS A VERY NICE CRT! WHATS THE MODEL?
One resets the console and the other one doesn't to jack (which means the other foot isn't a button).
You can play japanese games on a US console using a gameshark. I play a Japanese copy of Bomberman 64 the Second Attack on my system doing that.
This channel is still pretty good, why has it downgraded from 200k+ views to less than 50k?
Why do you have a Robopon game cartridge? I didn't know it was on the N64.
Just managed to grab one of these today, with the controller!
COOL!!!
What were the games besides Quest 64 that were shown in this?
The first console I owned with my brothers was the Blue Pikachu Nintendo 64. Good times. :D Sadly we did sell it.
The european version was orange to and Pikatchu always said his name if you turned him on!
What do the buttons on pikachu's feet do?
Try using a Gameshark to see if the opposite regions work.
I have the blue one. What a cool machine. I only wish the controllers were better quality so the thumbstick on half of my controllers wouldn't be loose.
why does your channel page have a pancake drinking beer? but i got to admit that is really EPIC!
did you even play one Pokemon game on it with pikachew?
YEEESS! I remember having this N64!
What is the name of the trinitron @ 2:38???
I still have my pal pokemon n64 and standard grey n64, good memories on both
nah Felicity's from Middle England and I was watching that n64 on ebay and wondered who bought it. I think it sold for around £300!
3:19 It's Quest 64! I actually enjoyed that on the N64 back when I got it. Then again, the RPG library for the system was fairly lacking, so that might have had something to do with it...
2:44 robopon 64 it also released on the gameboy color and gameboy advance but is too hard to find them 3:20 quest 64 it released world wide
Lucky me I've got the pal pikachu n64 and the day this was uploaded I also preordered the European pikachu 3ds xl
Dude... I think you are truly now a pokemon master!
The north American version of the pikachu edition n64 was the first console I ever got when I was about 5 or 6
Mark has a Japanese N64 system? Please review Sin and Punishment!
So what does pressing the foot do?
I have one of those but mine is Blue and yellow.
What about EU games, usually Japan and EU have the same exact consoles but EU is usually PAL restricted.
I kinda think it's pretty cute that you have Pikachu's foot as a switch
my buddy has one but its blue instead of orange, i love it
Your voice... it's magical!
What are the names of the games shown in the video?
How come you can get those good graphics on that small of a machine but to play bf3 i need a giant xbox.
I don't get why you said the n64 is loudest console, as mine is very quiet
Mark, you should make a video where you pretend that you're just drinking a beer with the viewer. That way I could watch it and pretend that I'm having a beer with you. We all could. It would be awesome.
you might as well just get an emulater of the n64 and play with a wired xbox 360 controller then. I like the 64 controller though. it was different in a good way.
does anyone got a universal adapter for N64? I want one.orange, I feel orange and cyan work well like Red and Blue also the colors on Zygardes chest.
you can unscrew it and cut off the little plastic tabs and viola you have a region free n64, only takes a few minutes and a pair of pliers.
How many gaming consoles have you designed and sold around the world then, mr fancypants?
" I told you to slow down didn't I?" "But no, Pickachu knows everything" XD.
I had the blue version of one of those consoles, i never liked pokemon, but hell, that was a pretty console, too bad a friend of mine drop it and it stopped working... he's not my friend anymore.
You should play and make a review on Hey You, Pikachu!
I owned the blue one when I was little it was soo cool wish I still had it though
Get someone to make an adapter that looks like the S&K cart with the port at the top?
Did Robopon64 get released in English?
Man I wish I had one of those. Where do you get those from?
Ebay, amazon.
Bought a blue PAL one today for 52. €, that is roughly 65 $
***** I demand you give it to me at once!
Sorry, I gave it to a friend of mine as a christmas gift.
***** Nnnnnnoooooo! I'm just kidding lol
Does it has a flamethrower?
Mark you need to get Sin and Punishment now you have an NTSC-J N64.
Please review the virtual boy, I want to see your eyes go all funny :)
Mark: The cartridge is -slightly- different to the american one
Me: And exactly the same as the Australian one, YAAR!
I know that, but if CGR is starting to review Japanese N64 games with this, he should review Sin and Punishment.
It's probably a lot easier for an N64 to maintain a smaller profile as it does not use an optical media drive or a hard drive.
Quest 64! Seems like everyone I know didn't like it, but I LOVE THAT GAME!
Do people still play N 64s today?
I still have this console but mine was blue.
Quest 64 ("Holy Magic Century" if you're outside the US or "Eltale Monsters"/"Eruteiru Monsutāzu" in Japan- at least according to wikipedia lol.) Hope this helps you rediscover some of that gaming magic from bygone days.
does the 64dd work with it?
wait, what? theres a JP blue yellow version???
+Haruhi Suzumiya Yes there is, Watch Nintendo Collecting's N64 videos, he has all of them.
cutemimi25 kawaii~!
blue one is in America
Andrew Rodriguez there is also Blue JP ones on ebay.
Haruhi Suzumiya Yes but the Blue is slightly different than the US/ Pal version.
Saw one of those a long time ago in a game store, didn't know it was Japanese....I wish I would have bought it before the place went out of business
Great fire colored system
.Hate the it induced a stomping on..LoL
My sister has the blue PAL version.
Great shout!
I know a friend of mine who has a bronze n64 its pretty cool looking
What an awesome N64. Pikachu WILL know if your playing non-japanese games on him.
in europe is this console normal and not so expensive
Have it!
They also come in blue.
I like how you translated it
Wish my house was big enough for a video game room like yours. It's not that I don't have the money for those things I just don't have any space for them.
The intergalactic space arcade is located in an industrial park... in space. There's lots of room up there for these sorts of things.
why do ppl send you such cool, rare and expensive stuff??? lucky guy lol great vid
Well I'll be damned I just bought this thing and I find of a review of it from you guys that's quite recent!
Wait....i hope you´re not thinking about "strange" things...lolol...i just told her that because having someone giving me games for free sounds like awesome friendship status to me ;) Cheers brother mate....nice vids you´ve got :)
This was the N64 model that took out the compatibility for the 64DD... which, despite how much that add-on failed, I found to be a stupid idea, on Nintendo's part.
why would it be?
RIP Pikachu killed by him 1998-2014
looks like you can really play it loud with this one.
well im getting this at my local game store in 3 weeks and having changed to where incsn play american games
