Thank you Eric! This was a topic that was on my mind. I’m a subscriber to both yours and Mark Martins Channels and really enjoy his Prophecy of Hope ministry. However I completely agree with you on the sabbath. What is wonderful now, is that we can reason on what is being said and reject or accept, based on our OWN understanding of the bible. What is great about both of your channels is that you encourage US to read the bible for ourselves and not follow blindly what men say. What freedom we have now we have left behind the dogmatism of the JWs. Appreciated brother!.

I did hear Mark Martin’s video on this & found it a bit disturbing, since I have been so convinced that the Mosaic law was done away with except for some aspects of the law that were repeat it in the Christian Greek scriptures, very clearly for us to follow. I began to research the subject to see if perhaps he was right and I couldn’t find enough to support what he saying to be true. So I am very excited to hear Eric Wilson give us a good biblical explanation on the topic…..

Good morning brother Eric. God bless you many times over. Continue enlightening us spiritually and providing us with "rich spiritual food" from God's Word. You are doing a great job in our benefit. Your reward will be great. Don't pay attention to naysayers. They just don't want to see the truth. Many blessings from Jehovah and Christ. 10:50, Wow! Thanks so much for clearing that up! I was so stumped why they would send the letter to the congregation telling them to uphold those 4 things from mosaic law. I thought perhaps they were trying to keep the peace among those who were so used to the mosaic law, but I failed to realize it could lead them back into pagan worship! It’s amazing how once again the Bible is harmonious and makes perfect sense, as it should!
I spent 42 years a JW. Recently, too many things have opened my eyes that Jesus isn’t speaking through those men. The Shutting the door book book has been a god send. As have the many videos. It has shaken me to the core and being able to do honest, heart felt and prayerful research in an attempt to rectify these things has been a blessing I never imagined possible.
Thank you again Eric, I look forward to joining one of your Bible studies soon! I never thought I’d reach this point, so I thank you for making this life changing knowledge possible for me.

      Hi friend
but he forgot to mention what Collossian chapter 2 verse 22 states
All perish for the doctrine and commandment of men
Sunday comes along and it abolish the 4th commandment of God
Sunday is a doctrine and commandment of men
      Isaiah chapter 29 verse 13
Reminds us not to bring in the precepts of men into the church of God
For they draw near me with their mouth and honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me do to the precepts of men
Jesus told the Jewish church leaders this is what they were doing to the sabbath that Jesus created in the book of Genesis
They made man made laws that abolished the way Jesus made the sabbath to be kept
And with that Jesus condemn their religion
No different then the Mormons who say it's ok to have more than one wife in life lets have multiple wives
They erase the 7th commandment of God
      Or the catholic who say
As long as we don't worship the virgin Mary we can kneel to her and devote prayer to her
They erase the 2nd commandment of God
They erase the 3rd commandment of God
They call the pope Holy father
      Mathew chapter 23 verse 9
After Jesus said call no man on earth your father but only the one you have in heaven
They erased the 4th commandment of God as well
      7th day sabbath to Sunday
If the Christian faith can do these thing
Then why would Jesus be against the religion of Judism and pagan religions ?
They to do the same things
If one can abolish a commandment of God
Then another will come along and abolish a commandment of God to benefit his or her life style
It don't work that way with Jesus
He will not compromise any commandment of God to please men
Those 10 commandment of God isn't just a bunch of no no's
It's a happy way of living for the people of God
Could you image what woukd take place in the church of God if all the commandment was OK to abolish
We mise well all be pagans
You know just because the 4th commandment of God dosent mean nothing to the Christian faith
Dosent mean it has no meaning for God
      Reason this out ok
If you sent invitations out to people you love in your life to a dinner party on a certain day
And only one person showed up out of a 100
      how woukd you feel ?
And then you went out looking to see where the 99 were at
And you found them at a restaurant eating better food then what you had to offer them
You would be in tears and hurt 😢 with a broken heart
After all the trouble you went through to prepare a meal for those people you loved so dearly
You know what the whole reason why Jesus created a 7th day sabbath
So all of his family could be together on a certain day
      Under his authority
If we love Jesus then we give him our authority
      Isaiah chapter 66 verse 23
It shall come to past from one new moon to another and one sabbath to another that all flesh comes to worship before me saith the lord
There a 4 sabbath during one full moon
All of Jesus creation throughout the unerverse comes to gether on the 7th day sabbath to honor the creator
      Not just the jews
But then Jesus notices that there is one world out of the unerverse that are absent of that day of a gathering
      It planet earth their absent
So Jesus goes out and he seeks that world wondering what is their delay 🤔
And he finds the world on another day that is more pleasing to their eye
How do you think Jesus feels about this
He feels the same way you would probably feel
He's in tears and broken hearted after all he done for us we can't even honor him on the day of his request for a family reunion

I have noticed that those studying the scriptures, after leaving the Watchtower, are not all on the same page. We sharpen one another and are patiently waiting for others to finally reach the same understanding as we have, and if we find we may need correction, we prayerfully keep an open mind and allow the scriptures to open up to us through God’s spirit.

Thank you Eric, we needed this clarification. I have a friend who used to study with JWs but became a Seventh Day Adventist. She still has sentimentality toward the Witnesses to this day but thought they were too "Restrictive" she cited "Women can't wear pants at the KH." She's also adamant about the Sabbath as well. I plan to send her this link. Why shouldn't I? After all, she tricked me once when I was visiting her from out of town. Against my knowledge and will she drove me to her church. It was during the summer and the weather was scorching hot. So I had one of two options. Sit in the hot car and fry for two hours or go inside. I went inside thinking I could take some mental notes which I did.
I decided to sit in an empty room as I waited. Suddenly a small Bible study group showed up and the pastor said, "The more you sin the more God loves you" At that point I couldn't help but speak up. So I said, "If God loves you more when you sin then why isn't everyone out sinning instead of sitting here?" The room filled with laughter and the pastor went silent. After that I dealt with a loud rock band. A talk on pornography with a slide show that was a bit too graphic for the children who were present. I also took note that many of the women and teens attending were dressed immodestly. There were people in line waiting to be healed and prayed over and a huge wicker basket was passed around for donations, and a fancy buffet was waiting at the end of it all. I participated in none of it just politely waited for my friend with the exception of the one quip I had left earlier. lol Thank you again Eric for making the Sabbath issue crystal clear to everyone. We greatly appreciate you!

If your claim is true regarding sabbath keeping, why would Jehovah install it in the new world?
“For just as the new heavens and the new earth that I am making will remain standing before me,” declares Jehovah, “so your offspring and your name will remain.”

@@bourbon_sketcher, correct, “in the city” not outside of it. Notice:
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. -Revelation 22:5
“There” is referring to the “city of God”
      Revelation 21:25 reads:
And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
Again, the gates of it (the city of God) will not be shut at all “by day” because there will not be night “there.”

@@bourbon_sketcher, The tree of life bears twelve kinds of fruit, and yields its fruit every month. This fact throws light upon the declaration in Isaiah 66:23, that all flesh shall come up “from one new moon to another” to worship before Jehovah. The words new moon should be rendered month. The Hebrew has חֹדֶשׁ (hhodesh), the second definition of which Gesenius gives as “a month.”
The Septuagint has μῆνα ἐκ μηνὸς (mēna ek mēnos), “from month to month.”
The redeemed come up to the holy city from month to month to partake of the fruit of the tree of life. Its leaves are for the healing of the nations; literally, the service of the nations. This cannot be understood as implying that any will enter the city in a diseased or deformed condition to need healing; for then the conclusion would follow that there will always be persons there in that condition, as we have no reason to understand that the service of the leaves, whatever it is, will not be perpetual, like the use of the fruit; but the idea of disease and deformity in the immortal state is contrary to the express declarations of other scriptures.

      Mathew chapter 24 verse 4 and 5
      Let no man decieve you
      2nd thessalonians chapter 2 verse 3 and 4
First in no means let no man decieve you first a falling away from the faith then the man of sin or son of perdition will be revealed for he siteths in a temple and he opposseth and exalteth himself above everything called God .
And we wonder when this would take place ?
Many believe it yet in the future
      Right
But let's look at our day of age
The Christian faith is broken into many different sects
      Why ?
Maybe the falling away has already taken place
And the majority are blinded do to the wine of babylon
      Let's journey back to 321ad
Most Christians don't know their history
      What happened in 321ad
A pagan king named Constantine has a dream of a cross in the sky and with this he could conquer
A pagan king recieve a cross to conquer with
      Why?
Jesus already conquer the devil with a cross
Why would a pagan king need a cross?
By the 2nd century the gospel of Jesus christ was invading the pagan religions
The gospel became a threat to the throne of Caesar and the philosophy of paganism which came from the devil himself
Constantine sees his empire is in jeopardy if he doesn't settle this spiritual civil war among the Christian and they who are pagan
the nation will eventually be wiped out
So Constantine has a dream to save his roman empire with a cross
Friends there's no verse in scripture that prevents the devil from picking up a cross of his own to conquer the people of God with
So the devil is intitle too pick up a cross
Yes it possible for the devil to use the same tactic of war with a cross to get the people of God on another path
Constantine had good intentions but those intentions lead to major problems for the spiritual seeds of Abraham
Who else had good intentions that lead to major problems for the physical seeds of Abraham
Abraham wife Sarah also had good intentions that took the physical seeds of Abraham into a civil war
Sarah told Abraham to have a relationship with hagar and Ishmael was born
Abraham wanted a son and Sarah was going to give him what God said he would do
And what a mess this brought on for the Jewish people and the Islamic religion of today
Good intentions by men and women leads to world problems
Constantinewas thinking that his good intentions of uniting Christianity with paganism in 321ad was a good thing but this only brought troubles for the Christian faith
A falling away from the faith took place in 321ad and this paved the rd for the man of sin or what Paul calls the son of perdition
Now ask a Christian what is the definition of son of perdition
The majority of them has no clue
Man of sin could be any one
but the title of son of perdition narrows it down to one man
Jesus in John chapter 17 verse 12 bring the title of son of perdition to life
Jesus created that title for a certain man
      John chapter 6 verse 70 and 71
Jesus identified the man as judas iscariot
      Who was Judas iscariot
A man who claims he is an apostle for Jesus
So the apostle Paul gives us the warning that in the near future another man will recieve this title of son of perdition who claims he too is an apostle for Jesus
For this apostle will siteth in a temple and he would opposseth and exalteth himself above everything called God
Who of today claims he s an apostle for Jesus and he sits in a temple calling himself the title that only God should be called
There's only one man who qualifies for this son of perdition
And that's the pope of Rome
The pope has a title for themselves who are the princes of the apostles for the gentiles
      Mathew chapter 20 verse 25 to 28
Jesus gave the warning to the church but they did not understand
Pope takes on the title of holy father
They take Mathew chapter 16 verse 18 and apply that verse upon themselves
They are now the successors of Saint Peter the Rock upon the church
      Psalms chapter 18 verse 2
The lord is my Rock my fortress and my deliver
No mention of Saint Peter here
So who was the rock in mathew chapter 16 verse 18
      Jesus or Saint peter
      1st corthinians chapter 10 verse 4
We all drank form that spirit rock which is christ himself
No mention of saint peter here
Now remember the apostle Paul was not among the group in mathew chapter 16 verse 18
Saul of Tarsus was going into perdition
But fortunate for saul became Paul
And who do you think inspired Paul to write 1 corthinians chapter 10 verse 4
      The holy spirit
Friends if you a protentant of today
Then there's a reason why your a protentant
You protest against any authority against the popes throne of Caesar that he sits on
Friends look up what is Rome authority over the earth what is her mark of Authority
Who made the pope the successor of Saint Peter 🤔 where dose he get the ideal he's our Rock upon the church
Mathew chapter 20 verse 25 to 28 comes into mind
For Jesus gave us the warning
For the princes of the gentile would have Dominion and Great Authority over them but not over us For who ever you make as your chief or servant will be the one who minster unto you For Jesus was nevered minster to but he minster unto us and became a ransom for many
      Who are us
      The people of God
Popes make the claim they are the princes of the apostles for the gentiles
And they do have authority which is great Authority over them but not us
1923 the papal power makes a claim to we who are protentants
      This is their claim
Who ever we give our Authority to
Will be or chief of command
For if we give our authority to the word of God then that person should observe the bibical 7th day sabbath
But if you observe the tradition of catholic church then you authority is given to the pope of Rome
If we want to keep Sunday then the pope is telling you it time for you to return home to Rome
Pope Francis made this statement in 2017 Oct 31
For he said that the 500 year anniversary of Martin Luther is over and its time for the daughters of the mother church of Rome to come back home to Rome
For the protest is over and protentantism is dead
Now Friends I'm not making this up
I was catholic Forman of years
And the catholic faith has a lot more enfluience over the earth then any protentant group alive today
      Before Jesus returns
The protentant will make journey back home in Rome to the catholic church
Then the mark of the beast will be planted and Sunday will be the day of rest for mankind
The pope is sending his invitation out
And I garrentee you the majority aren't going to disappoint him
And when they make that choice they crossed the line with God
And he walks away from us

I'm with you, I don't believe we're required to rest/worship on the Sabbath any longer, but I told myself that if the 8th king/NWO/one world religion to come requires we worship the beast on Sunday, like in Daniel's day, then I'm going to start to worship on Saturday instead.

@@ericwebb9561 Thank you for sharing that. I mean you no ill, friend, but share this as a warning. :)
According to Bible prophecy, the first beast in Revelation 13 who wields the mark is the papacy; and their mark in matters of worship is Sunday (they admit to changing the sabbath and without Scriptural support). A beast in Bible prophecy is a kingdom and nation (1 Kings 18, Daniel 7, Matthew 24). The second beast/nation in Revelation 13 who will legislate compulsory Sunday observance in tribute to the papacy is America.
Today if you hear God's voice, harden not your heart (Hebrews 3 & 4); and that applies to keeping God's law, and the fourth commandment of the sabbath, out of love to Him today. For God promises you, that if you wait until Sunday is made the law of the land to worship Him on His sabbath, you cannot guarantee that you will suddenly "switch sides" in that critical moment that shall be the greatest test that you and I will ever face (because it's the last test for us, and all people, before the return of Christ). For many will delay keeping God's sabbath now, and end up receiving the mark when Sunday is made law because they did not make it a habit to trust God now in keeping His sabbath out of love to Him in a relative time of peace. For when Sunday is made law, it will divide the "sheep from the goats" due to great persecution against sabbath-keepers (Revelation 12). For compared to those who will keep Sunday, there will only be a remnant group of people who will be honoring God in keeping holy His seventh day sabbath (which is the seal of God; Exodus 20, John 14, Revelation 7 & 14).
Trust God, dear friend, and make haste to keep His law and holy seventh day sabbath today. May He and Christ empower you to make that choice now out of love to Them for Their great sacrifice to save you. May They bless you mightily. :)

@@Project144K Thank you for your reply. At this point I agree with Eric and others when it comes to Sabbath worship. If it is a requirement for salvation, Jehovah and/or Jesus would have specified this. Just as circumcision wasn't a requirement for Christians, so too the Sabbath wasn't IMHO. I worship Jehovah every day, and don't require a special day to do so.
I believe the OT laws were abolished when Jesus fulfilled them, but I'm not going to ignore what people like you recommend, so my mind will remain open for adjustment. I've prayed on this, and feel that if Jehovah wants me to keep the Sabbath on Saturday, then He will either tell me directly or via direction from Jesus, or it will come in the form of Satan's system enforcing the Sunday Sabbath during the coming 3 & 1/2 year Hour of Test.
I watched Mark Martin's video series on the papacy being the beast and I must admit it was pretty compelling. But, just like the 1914 lie seemed logical at first, this too is just conjecture at this point. If the 6th head of the beast received it's mortal wound in 1798, that would mean the 7th has been ruling for 224 years. This isn't a "short while" as the Bible tells us at Revelation 17:10 though. I believe the wound occurs during the coming Great Tribulation, which leads to the 7th king, who is "also an 8th king" (Rev. 17:11). This 8th king rules for a short time, 3 & 1/2 years, meaning this king is Satan who will have been kicked out of Heaven at this point. The 8th king rules the 7 headed beast.
I could be completely wrong, but I will wait on Jehovah and Jesus to correct me, either through Scripture as yet not fully understood or directly from them. Thanks again for your reply.

I have several questions that probably won't be answered, but I'll add them anyway.
Why wasn't Genesis 2 : 3 mentioned in this talk? God sanctifying and blessing the seventh day makes the seventh day of the week sound mighty important. Or is it holy only to God?
The video says the sabbath wasn't kept before the ten commandments were written, so can someone explain why we're told that God set it apart? What was his purpose in doing that? It's not described as a commandment or as a day of worship in Genesis 2.
It seems humans are first instructed on what to do with this holy day later in history when the ten commandments are given, but with the caveat that the instructions are meant for the Jews only. And yet I thought God was using Israel as a light to the nations.
The ten commandments are commonly known as God's moral law or code. So if the fourth commandment isn't necessary for salvation, then why is it part of the moral code?
What is moral about observing the sabbath? Do Jews see it as immoral to not keep it? When I think of immorality, abstaining from work on Saturday isn't the first thing that comes to mind. In fact, in doesn't even register as immoral like murder or lying.
Also, what does it mean that God rested?
"And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made." (Gen. 2 : 3 KJV)

1)As I explained at the end of this video, I would be doing a second to explain the meaning of God's Day of Rest.
      2) As to the second question, I think you will find the answer in the video part 2 of the Sabbath to be released tomorrow (Friday).
3)The 4th commandment foreshadows the reality to come (see Hebrews 10:1-The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming-not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.) Again the next video will address this especailly when we see Jesus Christ is called the Lord of the Sabbath and it is through him that we enter Gods rest as our Heavenly Father originally purposed.
      4) Do you think it is morally appropriate, if you were an employer, to work your employees with no rest in the day? Do you think it is morally appropriate to work your body and the life God has given to the bone with no rest so that you burn out?
      5) What does it mean that God rested? It means that he stopped creating and it meant that his creation could now enjoy eternal peace with God because God's Sabbath is not a 24 hour period but is on-going. Remember that there are warnings in Hebrews about how the Israelites did not enter into his rest because of disobedience. All of this is discussed in the next video.

Yes that verse about love is true, but you must love God and the way you love him is by keeping his commandments (JOHN 14:15) and also eternal life is dependant on loving and knowing God(John 17:3) so if you don't keep his commandments which include the sabbath and etc then you according to 1John 2:3-6 are not a true worshiper. So yes love among ourselves is important but every religious organization out there has love amongst its own members (themselves) but love for God's commandments + love for those who also love God's commandments now thats not really all that common. If your father tells you to do something and says if you love me you'll do it but you go off and not do what he asked you how would that feel for him? Not so good ha?

Do you see where you go wrong? It's here: "if you don't keep his commandments which include the sabbath." You start with the truth from scripture "If you don't keep his commandments..." and them you insert the interpretation of man, "which include the sabbath."
What proof do we have that it includes the sabbath? Your opinion? Would you base your belief in God on my opinion. I hope not!
I've seen this argument before which is why I devoted part of the video to explaining what commandments John is referring to and I did so using Scriptures. Now either you didn't watch the video and so are unaware that I've already countered this argument (Proverbs 18:13) or you did watch it and have chosen to ignore those arguments, I confess, is somewhat disrespectful.

@@BeroeanPickets I just think if you read every account that our Messiah touched on the law and commandments from his own mouth as recorded he always tells us to obey and follow the law. Yes that is all of the laws. There is no temple so the feasts can not be done in Jerusalem but for that we have his blood. I don't see the logic of that was only meant for the Jews and not Gentiles. All through the Torah and Tanakh there are examples of people who join themselves to God from foreign nationalities and get the protection of Yahweh and are treated as citizens but they fall under the same laws of God as the Jewish people. There is also a time in the future where its been told people will come from all over to jerusalem for the feasts. So to say no for this period in the middle we don't have to keep the laws of God if we are Gentiles I just don't understand the logic. We have to get grafted into Israel even according to Paul but yet we don't have to follow the rest of the branches and root? How can you be a citizen in a nation of God but not required to follow its laws? To me Yeshua came to tell us hey this temple or this mountain isn't going to be here anymore, but I as your high priest will make it ok for you. But it requires you to love him and to keep his father's commandments/will. If we stop looking at scripture through a Roman Catholic, Latin and Greek translations and depictions and go to the Hebrew root we will see what our hebrew Messiah really said and meant. We had the written Torah, he (Yeshua) became our living/visual Torah so that we have no reason to not follow it. He did not come to abolish. He came to make it full as the hebrew transition teaches. Heaven and earth are still here so how come we just set aside God's laws? It just doesn't make sense my brother.

Thus, those who are only hearers of God's law (Romans 2) will not be eating from the tree of life, nor entering into that city, but will be outside of it and devoured by fire with Satan and his angels (Revelation 20). For even the keeping of any other day for God's sabbath (like Sunday) is a lie; and liars will also be outside that city and devoured by fire from God out of heaven.

It just didn’t seem practical anymore for people to have to pick a particular day to refuse to work, and to make that our day of worship and worship , because I thought our worship is a part of our life every day, and not confined to one day a week, and it wouldn’t matter what day of the week we took off from work. James uses that example of a person breaking one law but keeping the others to show that all the laws must be kept for a person to keep the Mosaic Law. He uses this to show that the same principle applies to the new law of the Christ that supersedes the Mosaic Law. And it is this Royal law from Mosaic law that James was encouraging Christian to keep. So how is it that we are exhorted to obey a law from mosaic law if those Mosaic law and the ten commandments are not for the new covenant.

If you accept that the Sabbath, when God rested was a literal 24 hour day, then that means that God’s rest ended well over 6,000 years ago! Doesn’t it? It also means that there is no basis for Jesus to declare himself Lord of the Sabbath since that makes him the Lord of only one day out of SEVEN. Additionally, when God invites us to enter his Sabbath rest, we would be entering only a resting day of ONE 24 hour day out of seven. This doesn’t sound like much of a paradise to me.

So the use of “day” in Genesis is a decision made by the particular translator of the Bible who will naturally carry his own doctrinal bias into his translation.

Does salvation depend on the command to honour our father and mother, not to kill, steal, commit adultery? Sure your answer will be no. This answer leads to another question: if we are dishonouring our parents, killing, living in adultery, stealing etc can we be saved? I believe your answer will be no, right? Yes, we are saved by grace NOT by works. However, this does not negate obedience. Jesus said that if we love Him we will keep His commandments. Do a study on who wrote the 10 commandments and who wrote the ceremonial laws,; on what each was written on; where they were placed in the Ark of the covenant. Also, do a study on the ceremonial sabbaths vs the 7th day creation Sabbath created before sin entered. Are you saying that the 7th day sabbath, created before sin entered could be disband at calvary. Jesus went to calvary because of sin not because of anything created pure. The bible said that the sabbath is for holy convocation. What does convocation mean? When Jesus went into the sanctuary each Sabbath and taught the people, was that a coming together, holy convocation?

🤔 The Sabbath Day has absolutely nothing to do with salvation or Jesus. GOD commanded us to observe Sabbath until the end of days. There’s several texts regarding the Sabbath.
The fourth of the Ten Commandments says, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God …Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. (Exodus 20:8-10a, 11b)

I thought the Sabbath was instituted to remind Jews of how Jehovah/Yahweh had saved them, and gave them rest, from bondage and slavery in Egypt, by bringing them out through the Red Sea...a baptism of sorts. After Jesus arrived and gave up his life, he freed those Jews who put faith in him, and who were baptised in him, from the greater bondage to sin, and subsequent death . Faith in Jesus, the lord of the Sabbath, kind of replaces the ritualistic and symbolic observance of a Sabbath one day a week.

    Here's the answer guys:
*"Therefore there remains a Sabbath for the people of God"* - _Hebrews 4:9._ "Sabbath" - that is, our Kingdom. Simply put, for a Christian, every day is the Sabbath. Of course, for those who are on the Sabbath, there is no need to keep a separate Sabbath day.
In general, it is important to understand the difference between a law that will undoubtedly never be repealed for a person:
*"Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and just and good.
So, has good become deadly to me? No way"* - _Romans 7:12,13_
and the covenant, which is often called the law, but which is not a law, but is an agreement between Yahweh and Israel to keep the law:
*"The law, having a shadow of future good things, and not the very image of things, by the same sacrifices continually offered every year, can never make perfect those who come with them"* - _Hebrews 10:1._
Of course, the Sabbath commandment is not a covenant, but part of an eternal law carved in stone. And Saturday was not canceled and will not be, but it was revealed in its essence, as Saturday - a spiritual abode and eternal rest from mortal fuss, like eternity - dedicated to the Creator.
The misunderstanding of the difference between the covenant and the law of many leads to these illogical statements, similar to those discussed in this video - whether Christians keep the Sabbath today or not ... Thank you.

No Eric, our Salvation doesn't Depend on keeping a Sabbath Day, neither l'am Jehovah's witnesses, Christian, faithful slave, Bishop, Pop etc...
PSALM 14:2 , 3 From heaven Adonai observes humankind to see if anyone has understanding, if anyone seeks God.
    (In verse 3 God said:) (I) But all turn aside, (II) all alike are corrupt ;
(III) no one does what is right , (IV) not single a one. God has checked carefully our worship he doesn't find a single one who worship him.
    Our Salvation Depend on only:
Be born again with water and Spirit
Without that our Salvation has doubts.
If the Bible has introduced the words be born again or new; immediate we want to understand that the first birth had had a problems. We all we know that God created Adam perfect and gave him his Spirit that time God has good relationship, friendly discuss with Adam II the garden. In Genesis 3:1-21. God relationship of the human beings are not good any more.
Adam was spiritually dead it's in that state of death gave a birth for all mankind. Acts 17:26 " From one man he made every nation living on the entire surface of the earth, and he fixed the limits of their territories and the periods when the would flourish.
Roman 3: since all have sinned and come short of earning God's praise.
Romans 5: 12-14 : Here is how it works: it was through one individual that sin entered the world, and through sin, death; and in this way death passed through to the whole human race, inasmuch as everyone sinned. 13 Sin was indeed present in the world before Torah (the Scriptures) was given, but sin is not counted as such when there is no Torah. 14 Nevertheless death rule from Adam until Moshe,(the Law) even over those whose sinning was not exactly like Adam's violation of a direct command.
In this, Adam prefigured the one who was come. All these passages of the Scriptures show that mankind need to renew or born again. Because we're all spiritually death.
Now what is be born with water and Spirit?
That phrases came first time in life of a man, a great leader of Jewish Supreme Court :
Nikodemo. John 3: 3, 5 " Yes, indeed," Yeshua answered him, "I tell you that unless a person is born again from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God". 5 Yeshua answered, "Yes, indeed, I tell you that unless a person is born from water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
    What does the Water prefigures?
EZEKIEL 36: 25-27 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you be clean; I will cleanse you from all idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit inside you; I will take the stony heart out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put my Spirit inside you and cause you to live by my laws, respect my rulings and obey them.
What the Water stand for? We're agree all of us that baptism or immersion can take off the sin as 3:21 This also prefigures what delivers us now, the water of immersion, which is not the removal of dirt from the body, but one"s pledge to keep a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah .
Ezekiel 36 :25. was fulfilled by the Lord Jesus John 15: 3 Right now, because of the word which I have spoken to you, you are pruned.(WATER =GOD WORDS GOOD NEWS OF SALVATION.)
To the Samaritan woman The Lord discussed about the same WATER which represents the GOD WORDS all Scriptures. John 4: 13-14 Yeshua answered, "Everyone who drink this water will get thirty again,14 but whoever drinks the water I will give him will never be thirsty again! On the contrary, the water I give him will become a spring of the water inside him, welling up into eternal life. There are two kinds of Water: first is simple water we drink every day and we drink it by our mouths.
The second Water we drink it by hearing or reading the Salvation words in the Scriptures and keeping put in practice that time you are born by God words (Water) in conditions that you stop to sin. John 9:31 We know that God doesn't listen to sinners; but if anyone fear God and does his will, God does listen to him.
What is the Spirit stand for? Simply is the the Spirit of God John 6:63 It is the Spirit
who gives life, the flesh is no help. The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and life ,.
There some illumination by the Holy Spirit of God. 1corinthians 2 10-16.
Prayer: Dear Almighty God, by the your Holy Spirit , open the mind for someone to know to understand that if we don't born again we are not permit to enter in your kingdom. Loving Father who like everyone be saved 1Timthy 2:4 He wants
all humanity to be delivered and come to full knowledge of the truth.
Everyone who didn't agree of these Holy Spirit explanation, they read all the passages and explain it to himself.
    Shallom Shallom Shallom.

@lb6051 - But believing in Jesus means what? For example, the demons believe in God and shudder. So belief is more than simply a recognition. It implies action and commitment which is why Jesus says that unless we are willing to carry the cross, that means willing to carry the shame associated with his name we cannot be saved. Luke 9:23.
Jesus also says at Matthew 10:32,33: "Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in heaven. 33But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven." JWs do not confess Jesus before men, they confess the Governing Body.
At Matthew 7:21 Jesus we see evidence of many who believe in Jesus and claim to have done many wonderful things in his name, but what does Jesus say to them? "Get away from me you workers of Lawlessness." Therefore, simple belief in Jesus will NOT save us, according to scripture.

    • @homerhill-b7h
      @homerhill-b7h ปีที่แล้ว

If you ascribe to Catholic doctrine, then the Sabbath is removed. The Catholic Church removed the 4th commandment - the Sabbath - at the Council of Nicea. Now, everyone who thinks he is a bible scholar claims that the Sabbath is no more because a man made religious organization said so. Odd how man always points fingers at why the last guy had it wrong but never makes sure he's right. (1 Tim 1:7) This was part of the Ten Commandments. None of the Ten Commandments is obsolete!
First thing I like to look at when considering the Sabbath is what Jesus said:
"Then Jesus declared, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.“" - Mark 2:27 BSB
Jesus did not give an expiration date for the Sabbath as it was "made for man". I take this to mean, in my opinion, that when man is no longer on the earth then the Sabbath can go away. If God made something for the entirety of mankind, and if God doesn't change, then why implement it at all.
Next thing I like to look at is what Jesus said with regards to the Law:
"Do not think that I have come TO ABOLISH THE LAW OR THE PROPHETS. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them. For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until EVERYTHING IS ACCOMPLISHED. So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven." - Mat 5:17-19 BSB
When Jesus used the line "until heaven and earth pass away", he was directly referring to Isaiah 65:17 which John piggy-backs at Revelation 21:1; meaning at the end of days when he creates the "new heavens and new earth", that is when everything is accomplished and the Law FULFILLED not ABOLISHED! Jesus also went on to say in verse 19 that no one should break the commandments he followed and shouldn't teach others to breeak them either. Food for thought.
Finally, a good note as to why the Sabbath is to be observed, and the most powerful note of all, came from Jesus himself. When he was informing the apostles of the things to look for "at the end of the age" (Mat 24:3 BSB), or what the JW's call - Armageddon. Jesus spoke of what we would see just before he came back to collect those faithful. When those days of tribulation were upon mankind, just before everyone is to stand before the returned Christ, Jesus said:
"Pray that your flight will not occur in the winter or ON THE SABBATH." - Mat 24:20 BSB
Now why would Christ Jesus be promoting the Sabbath if it was to be done away with? Remember, he said he was the "Lord OF the Sabbath" (Mat 12:8), that means the Sabbath goes with him! You don't think that Jesus knew that he wouldn't be returning for an extended period of time? God had all things considered before the founding of the world (Acts 2:23; Ro 8:29; Eph 1:4; 1 Pet 1:20), so He obviously knew when Jesus was coming back. (Hab 2:3)
As a side note, Paul observed every Sabbath and preached in the synagogue, just like Jesus. Why would he be following the custom of Jesus if the Sabbath was no more? Compare Luke 4:16 to Acts 17:2

@@LosBereanos What I heard - when I watched the video - was a bunch of strawman arguments. No where in there did you address my comments on Mark 2 and 5 along with Matthew 24. The problem stems the way it always has, man regurgitates previous doctrine of other men who assumed they know what it meant. You speak of exegesis yet you still lean into some eisegesis.
For example, in one of your other videos you say that all people should be partaking of the emblems at memorial. This is absolute rubbish. You quote the same lines of "doing this in remembrance of me" and promote that everyone is to partake, yet you gloss over Paul's admonition:
Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. Each one must examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep [in death]. - 1 Cor 11:27-30 BSB
For those that don't do their own research, but instead go to TH-cam church, you would have these people bring judgment upon themselves. What if these people do not accurately assess what their faults are? What if they think more of themselves and are not using "sober-minded" thinking? (Ro 12:3 BSB) Wouldn't it be better for them to NOT partake, and air on the side of caution, than have a chance to bring death upon themselves? But according to you, and your take on scripture, they would be fine! Isn't that what you claimed the clowns in Watchtower were doing? This isn't meant as a swipe at your character, just more as an eye opener.
Admittedly, I do not/have not watched all of your content. And while I can say that much of your reasoning that I have seen is fairly accurate, and I do agree with many of your points, however you still fall back on old church doctrine and what the mainstream religious communities have spewed for years. Case in point with the Sabbath. Jesus said he was the Lord of the Sabbath and that he came to FULFILL the Law, not ABOLISH it. The scriptures say that the Law is not fulfilled UNTIL he has come back. He isn't back yet. Ergo, the Sabbath still stands and is the whole point of Matthew 24:20. All of this is clearly explained above in my previous comment. I made my case and it speaks for itself, I will not "quarrel over words". (2 Ti 2:14)
Now when it comes to other aspects of the Law, one could reasonably argue that 1 Samuel 15:22 does leave a way out of performing animal sacrifices, something God in His infinite wisdom would have seen as unreasonable in this day and age of PETA and other bunny hugging organizations along with the climate of these times. But this is the Sabbath we're talking about; not animal sacrifice. At least if you promote this, and it isn't what God actually wanted (even though it is), you won't be bringing death upon anyone by telling them not to observe it. After all, it isn't very hard to observe doing nothing for a day.
Either way, you have not offended me and I mean no offense to you; truly. I know sarcasm and stern banter can be misconstrued as vicious and vile attack, especially in todays whiny atmosphere. If we don't see eye to eye, then we can agree to disagree. I am, however, trying to do right by a fellow Christian and keep you from offending God and/or possibly heaping the blood of others on yourself. (James 3:1)
      Peace.

In many gentile minds ( in mine case was the same )is steel unclear what means to be incorporated in Israel of God but in the same time to not be a natural Jew. As a former JW , painfully I understand the true organization where the gentiles was dragged explained clearly by apostles trough the prophecy of Amos , Amos 9:11,12 also explained by apostles in Acts 1514-20( Jews by the way) the status and requirements of gentiles like ( branches) in the Israel ( the root) Romans all chapter 11. Is difficult to understand for many the words of Paul from Romans chapter 11: verse 1,2 especially for a gentile to understand that the both covenants ( the old and new acording to Jeremiah 31:31-34 quoted in Hebrews to) God both maded with Israel not with Gentiles remembering the fact that Jesus’s ministry was specifically for Jews. Is funny now to remember the words of Jesus misquoted in every Lord supper according to watchtower ( I have other sheeps) John 10:16, actually Jesus speaks about Jews and gentiles together ( last words from John 10:15). For a natural Jew the seventh day is still in covenant ( we gentiles celebrate the Passover) a first covenant celebration actually and for some of us all prophetic celebrations like Pentecost or the day of Trumpets. Of course Sabbath as a day cannot save , only the sacrifice of Jesus does. Personal i consider Bible Jewish calendar and feasts including the evening beginning of a new day!

Christians who survive the tribulation have white robes and are welcoming Jesus with palm branches. Being without spot from the world and no mark of the beast. Compare that to the many who offer their works at Matt 7:21-23 and are rejected. Our life depends on what basis Jesus judges on, white robes. The command to pour blood on the ground and would prevent you from using it for anything else doesn’t apply to Jesus’s blood because his blood contains no sin. Sinful humans carry around their sins in their blood, the organ God has claimed for himself. The soul is in the blood. Who knows what will be celebrated and observed in the new world. Jesus frees us to be familiar with the Holy Spirit to follow it. Religion is a snare and a racket selling us back into slavery to man.

We are saved by unmerited favor through faith. Works of the Torah are only the evidence of true faith. Love of God and love of neighbor are the two main commandments in the Torah. The rest of the Torah and the Prophets hang upon those two.
Matthew 22:34-40 (TLV): But the Pharisees, when they heard that Yeshua had silenced the Sadducees, gathered together in one place. And testing Him, one of them, a lawyer, asked, “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Torah?”
And He said to him, “ ‘You shall love Adonai your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire Torah and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
We love neighbor by keeping God's commandments to not murder him, not commit adultery with his wife, and not stealing from him for example. We love God by keeping shabbat, eating kosher, and wearing tzitzit for example (Exodus 20:8-11, Leviticus 11:1-45, Numbers 15:37-41).

There is not one scripture in the Bible that authorizes the first day of the week as God‘s holy day so we are keeping the traditions of Sunday worship which was dedicated to the sun God not to the actual God of heaven who set a day the seventh day Sabbath I can get into so much more but I really wish you’d let me send you this video because many people will go along to get along somebody makes sense and they realize they’re wrong like I said this man was an elder for 30 odd years and he never saw the truth until now But he still blind when it comes to a few I sent you some videos I really wish you’d watch and I’d really like to send you another one and it’s a real eye-opener and if you are really searching for truth in God’s word I believe that you want to see them God bless

Paul actually deals with these objections.
Also when he used the word "law" referring to the law given to moses. He's referring to all of it including the Sabbath.

Put simply he explains Christians are under grace, not law.

Hi Eric. I find it compelling that you don't take the creation account of Genesis literal. After carefully reading each verse, I find that the scriptures describe what God established each literal day and each verse always concludes that each day had evening and morning. Now I understand no one was around to see if those days were actually longer in time than what we perceive days to be now, however it's quite clear that these days were (singular) days with mornings and evenings, which leaves me to believe that the earth could be younger than many of us think. If this earth is millions of years old, it would contradict the bible. They have fossils that they date back millions of years old, but humans only been around for nearly 7,000 years. it says in genesis on the 5th and 6th day god made the sea, flying, and land creatures. in the book of Genesis, it's clear that death and suffering came about after Adam and eve disobeyed Jehovah. I've learned a lot from your videos, and I just would like more clarity on this topic

@perrybrinson5760 - If you are going to take each day as a literal 24 hour day then you need to take this “day” in the following scripture as 24 hours too, in which the 6 days are summed up as ONE day. “This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the DAY that the LORDb God made them.” Genesis 2:4. If God wanted us to understand that he was speaking about literal 24 hour creative days, then so as to avoid confusion among his children, he would have stated the following: “This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the WEEK that the LORDb God made them.” But he didn’t say that. A way for us to avoid being deceived, even by our own preconceptions, is to check out the Interlinear before drawing any conclusions.
If you look for the meaning of the word day in Hebrew, it is Yom and does NOT only mean a 24 hour period. Notice all the meanings it can have in Stong’s Concordance, on Biblehub.com.
      Strong's Concordance
      yom: day
      Original Word: יוֹם

So the use of “day” in Genesis is a decision made by the particular ranslator of the Bible who will naturally carry his own doctrinal bias into his translation. This doesn’t sound like much of a paradise to me.

and as for the fact that Jesus died and rested (in the tomb..) all day Saturday... Is that irrelevant or could it somehow mean that even in death, Jesus fulfilled the Law?
And when he says he came to fulfill the Law (to obey the Law) isn't that his example to follow as well?!

  • @marlin2026

I resent the fact that you are pointing your finger at Mark Martin. BOTTOM LINE, the Sabbath is the fourth commandment. It is NOT part of the Mosaic law which was placed outside the ark of covenant. It is part of God’s law, the Ten Commandments, written with the finger of God and placed INSIDE the ark of covenant. Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. YES ALL 10 NOT 9!!!

But the ten commandments were done away with and replaced with the higher law of Christ. Why stick with a law that even the Jews couldn't keep when our Lord had given us a superior law? Or do you not know that the Law of Moses with its 10 commandments was merely a tutor taking us by the hand to Jesus?

Religion is a dangerous thing. We just only want to hear what suits oursituation and yes, this is truth. We must search the scriptures for ourselves. A 1000 years is 'like as' a day to God, NOT one day. It is about how human beings view time as opposed to how God does. To man, a 1000 years seems like eternity, a very long time; to God it is just a very short time. Let the Holy Spirit guide us through the Word

  • @radoliz2
    @radoliz2 ปีที่แล้ว

Acts 15:28,29 were requirements to receive the Holy Spirit and good health choices for that period of time. But, that today, still does not separate you from the Christ, and his promised Paradise resurrection guarantee. Does it?

  • @errolcampbell6985
    @errolcampbell6985 ปีที่แล้ว

I don't think Mark realize that there are different covenants at different periods of time...or that it was the Sabbath keepers that had a problem with the way Jesus carried out his ministry to the point where they put him to death.
Yes he acknowledge faith in Christ but he still hold on to the sabbath...
A day has nothing to do with us gaining salvation......so I think he needs to continue researching...

  • @statutesofthelord

Yes, our salvation DOES depend on keeping the 7th day Sabbath, along with all other of God's commands.
If we don't keep God's commands, we show we don't love Jesus. "If you love me, keep my commandments" John 14:15.

    • @BeroeanPickets
      @BeroeanPickets  ปีที่แล้ว

I don't think you watched the whole video, or perhaps not even a little bit of it. Keeping Jesus' commandments means we must reject the legalism of the Mosaic law code for a higher law, one to which the old law brought us as a tutor brings a child to the master teacher.

I'm actually working on a video transcript to deal with this type of deceptive reasoning. One has to be very careful to recognize it. You make a number of valid statements in your comment, and they make a subtle substitution hoping your readers will not notice how you have inserted your own opinion. Yes, we must keep Jesus' commandments. That's right in the Bible. What isn't in the Bible is your opinion "including his 7th day Sabbath commandment".

This is all well and good but how do we get around Matthew 24: 18-20. Here Jesus was speaking about an occurrence that will happen after His resurrection. Why would the Sabbath affect Christians who at this time shouldn’t be observing it?

    • @BeroeanPickets
      @BeroeanPickets  ปีที่แล้ว

The occurrence you are referring to is the destruction of the city of Jerusalem and the nation of Israel, the territory of Judea. While Christians are not obliged to observe the Sabbath, they still lived in the country that observed it. Packing up and leaving Would mean violating the laws of the land. It would make their escape all the more difficult.

@joecabral7315-- I believe that once saved always saved is wrong as is evidenced by this scripture in Revelation. "...one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never BLOT out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name..."Revelation 3:5 As shown in the video, keeping the law means you are severed from Christ, as Paul said in Galatians 5:4. I will quote it here for you: "You who are trying to be justified by the law have been severed from Christ; you have fallen away from grace." Being severed from Christ means severed grace and from salvation.
