Fen Xiang Fried Kway Teow (#01-21): Known for its char kway teow, this stall has been dishing out this classic noodle dish for the past 30 years. A plate of Char Kway Teow costs S$3 and is generously filled with ingredients like noodles, lup cheong (Chinese sausage), tiny cockles, beansprouts, and vegetables. The absence of classic lard makes it a healthier version, as vegetable oil is used for frying. Be sure to arrive early, as they tend to sell out before noon.
S.J Sickander Ammal Muslim Foods (#01-05): A family-run business with a 20-year history, this stall specializes in comforting Indian-Muslim cuisine. Try their Egg Prata, Maggi Goreng, or Nasi Goreng for a satisfying meal. They close once every two weeks for a short respite.
San Chao (#01-11): This stall serves three types of fried dishes: Carrot Cake, Fried Kway Teow, and Oyster Omelette. The menu offers various portion sizes, and it’s a great spot for classic hawker fare.
