M vs Dk GBA is itself a remake of DK 94 on GB, unjustly confused with the first on Arcade. On the contrary, it considerably improves on its heritage, actively rewarding scoring and timer, offering 96 additional puzzle levels, introducing future Mario 64 acrobatics, and featuring tutorial cinematics.
Because it's called Dk and not Mario or M vs DK, it's long since been forgotten, even though it's the founding game of his puzzle platformer saga.
