  • Installing the EHS Tuner on my 2021 Yamaha Grizzly 700.
The EHS Tuner is a Fuel Programmer. it Plugs into your injector harness and stays plugged in, You can adjust your fuel curve on the ride. Highly recommended , Helps with cold starts alot.
Not very hard to do, takes about 40 mins if your taking your time.
If you have basic mechanical skill youll be just fine
Ill make a video soon on what i think of it, but i can say already its quite the difference

That's a nice Grizzly man and I honestly didn't know they had those issues from the Factory! holy sht! one of these days I might get back into this! I sold my 2013 Arctic Cat 550 with power steering back in 2020

Thanks man! It's nothing serious but enough to bother you if you overthink everything lol.
That thing must've been decent, yeah you should get back into er!

I installed the EHS tuner on my 2021 grizzly and it ran like a turd. Eric says at idle it should flash green not be 2 or 3 steady green lights. To get my light to flash at idle I had to set blue green at 7. His settings are way to rich. I've talked to others on Grizzly Central and they all agreed. The settings need to be lower because it's to much gas, makes it a turd off idle and black plug. I took mine off and the wives and stock they run way better! I copied some of the settings others had for their grizzlies and might try it again this summer with lower settings like they used. EHS has a video on Facebook showing new settings for the 2021 grizzly and they're nothing like in his instructions. Just my 2 cents worth. And another thing Yamaha changed the air box on the grizzly and even Eric says theirs is any better.

Do you know how to set it up?
Sounds like you just messed around too much and got it way too far off.
grizzlies run wayy to lean from the factory, like ridiculously lean.
Richend up the bottom end and a bit up top, runs much better/ cooler
      And plugs look perfect.
Much easier cold starts, no backfiring on decel

@@WastedWages402 I know know how to set it up it's easy. But the 2019 up grizzly does not run dangerously lean. A lot have posted on here the tuner did nothing for them or they had to tune it way differently than EHS directions. A lot of guys have posted its way to rich at his settings. You say it's ok for 3 solid green lights at idle but that means it's dumping fuel in at idle so when you go it's already rich and loaded up.You can't have a good running quad if it's rich. The best things I've done is plug the AIS and install the whiskey bent exhaust tip, it dropped my temperature a little and the tip made my bottom end more responsive. I never had starting problems or popping thru the muffler. My grizzly ran great until I put on the tuner then it was gutless. I took it off. I watched a newer EHS video where he tuned a 2021 orange grizzly and it's set way different than his directions on Facebook. When it gets warmer I might try it again with other posters on heres settings. They are way different than directions.

@@SuperDave-pe1zw all 2019+ grizzlies run real lean, maybe if your on the north pole and fuel is dense as concrete itl run rich...
No, 3 lights does not mean it's dumping fuel
Nope not too rich not loaded up,
The lean hesitation is gone, much more responsive.
You should definitely figure out how to properly set it up, or If you somehow got a sticking injector or something.
Not 1 grizzly built after 2019 runs rich.

I honestly don't know about that one, I think.. maybe.. the tuner would have a memory of some sort ? Lol

Recently installed my tuner and noticed it often stays on the three green lights when idling just wondering if you know if that’s normal or if it should just be one or two

    • @WastedWages402
      @WastedWages402  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes the 3 green lights is perfectly normal
That's basically showing how much fuel you've got it set for, at what rpm
(Mines at 3 on idle too)
There's a bunch of different settings from idle to high rpm and when the settings cross over
Id be happy to make a video explaining it if thatl help?

What do you think of the tuner? ive been thinking about getting one of these tuners and getting a slip on exhaust.

I think it's great, not much of a power difference completely stock otherwise (doing the airbox this spring)
It helps alot on real cold starts and doesn't get as hot moving slow plowing and stuff
I'm pretty sure with exhaust and the airbox mod it would be a quite noticeable difference though.. maybe I'll have to try it.. lol

I added a Power Commander to my Raptor 700. It had dual exhaust but no tune. It completely changed the power delivery from high strung to FAR more linear and much stronger. I’m surprised you didn’t notice much difference.. put a pipe on her 😈

@@veeDubbinit2All these machines come with a lean tune from the factory because of EPA emissions standards that must be met. A lean condition will cause harder starting, misfires, random stalls overheating issues etc. Not to mention, it's also harder on the internal engine components.
What this guy did (for the time being) is install the programmer alone with a more mild tune, just to correct the factory lean air/fuel mixture.
Doing this will make a noticeable difference in how the machine runs and operates, but as he said, without a pipe and airbox mod you cannot expect much of a difference in power output.
I have also done these same upgrades several times, they are commonly referred to as "the big three", and is what most people start with when it comes to squeezing a bit more power out of their engines.
