    A 2.0 l petrol engine with 175 hp (129 kW) is available alongside the hybrid system, which can be combined with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable automatic transmission.
    The long tradition of the new RAV4 obliges. Accordingly, the fifth generation is also equipped with an innovative all-wheel drive system. The AWD-i all-wheel drive system, which is used with the hybrid drive, has proven to be the perfect system for the Swiss market. On normal journeys, it convinces with low fuel consumption, as soon as you find yourself on slippery ground, the additional electric motor on the rear axle comes into play and ensures more safety. The power distribution is distributed between the two axles by the hybrid system, depending on the driving situation. Up to 80% of the power can be transferred to the rear axle. Once the new RAV4 is back on firm road surface, 100% of the power is delivered to the front wheels again.
    The four-wheel drive system, in combination with the conventional petrol engine, features Toyota's first torque vectoring system. This allows the torque distribution to be split between the right and left rear wheels. In this way, it ensures stable handling even with different grip values ​​on the left and right.
    The new "Trail Mode" makes it easier to master difficult driving passages off the beaten track. If the mode is activated using a switch in the center console, a single spinning wheel is braked. This directs the torque to the wheels with better traction, allowing the vehicle to move forward with confidence.
    The completely new design gives the vehicle a powerful and confident appearance. The design impresses with flat roof and shoulder lines and increased ground clearance. In the Style version, the roof, the exterior mirrors and the rims are black. In addition, the plastic elements around the wheel arches are painted black. During development, particular attention was paid to all-round visibility, so the bonnet could be kept 15 mm flatter, which expands the driver's field of vision. The A-pillars have been slimmed down and the position of the exterior mirrors has been lowered. In the interior, the rear passengers gained 40 mm of shoulder room and more space in the foot area. The driver benefits from more adjustment options for the seat and greater adjustability of the steering wheel. The loading space is 60 mm longer, which means that there is also space for a 29-inch mountain bike. The trunk now has a volume of 580 liters with the seats folded up and up to 1690 liters with the seats folded down.

      Many pedestians behave like holy cows nowadays...mostly due to perverted regulations favouring them and harrassing drivers kire and more..was im Guangzhou over a decade ago.crossing multi lane street was really challenging . On the other hand.if they were to follow such stupid rules ( have to stop seeing the pedestrian only nearing the zebra- a few years ago seeing him set foot on Zebra strip) there would be a permanent traffic jam .
