What a wonderful group. I have happy memories of hearing them many times in the Sheffield City Hall in the '70's and '80's. The title of this song, THE FAMILY OF MAN, fits in perfectly with the Polished Bronze Sculptures created in 1970 by the late Dame Barbara Hepworth which she entitled THE FAMILY OF MAN. All nine can be seen in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and three of them in Suffolk at The Snape Maltings.

Was this from their "Final Fling" tour? I saw them in Bristol the same year, when I was 18. I bumped into "Tiny Tony-O" in the car park before the gig and asked him for his autograph. Understandably he was a bit brusque with me and said there would be autograph signing after the concert. I was a bit upset by this, but he was right. He had to prepare for the gig and appeared to be in a bit of a hurry. I had a great night out. A warm memory.

The irony that this song that was so ahead of its time for unity would now be considered offensive by the far left as it says “man” instead of “people” 😂

It's already considered "offensive" by the far right for being a song of peace, unity and anti-racism. Pipe down

@@zutroy85 I’m not a fan of the far right either. You seem very defensive over my criticism of the extremist left though, which suggests you belong to that group.
