Agree music in her blood born to sing 🎶👌some things you can't learn at school beautiful natural fireside songs PROUD TO BE IRISH SHE PUT US ON THE WORLD STAGE ❤❤❤❤❤❤LOVE HER ❤❤
God what a beautiful song. I'm in tears listening to this. Not from Galway, but this song definitively describes Ireland, the sense of community, love and belonging which is being stamped out right now.
Delores, remember the Canadian Lad who sat with you at O'Connors in Galway? Would love to see you again Lass. We were going to play the broken piano. Hugs Lass
I have a 5year old grand son who loves to sing these irish laments. I (the grandmom) encourage his singing, but his older sister mocks him, so he won't sing for me. Any advice? He loves the Sony song, and is upset when he finds out the father never came home...
Sure, I would have a long chat with the elder sister and make sure she knows the damage she caused the lad. There’s only one way to bring him out of it and that’s gradually. Little by little, the effort to encourage his singing will make him come round and overcoming his fear of being ridiculed again. Maybe next time make the sister sing with him instead of mocking the poor lad. Then she might stop that shite!
Dolores really is one of the best irish singers of all time. One of them voices you don't need music in the background. Just her and that galway tone
