LPT dont pick up yellows and blues, but be sure to pick up all white items. You get way more materials per salvage for white items and you can turn them into blue / yellow mats 1:1 in the cube. I get something like 100-1000 materials per enmity this way. When converting them at the cube, just buy blues and yellows from vendors so you dont have to spend mats to make mats 😊
i wish they kept in game auto salvage pickup from previous season. they could even lower the ratio of getting mats if you use auto salvage i would still use it

I find it strange that people need a guide for the simple things from this video... the numbers from the video (enmity scaling) were more interesting than the tips.
Both Halls of Agony in Act 1 get me a portal close to guaranteed it seems like. I've tried Temple as well and yeah the portals spawn no problem but then you end up porting to the act 2 town and I prefer the portal/chest/Blacksmith placement in Act 1. Matters of taste is all.
Your comment on difficulty scaling certainly matches my experience, I found my T16 builds just couldn't deal with the rift guardians in lower floors, I've started just taking my speed GR setups to do the visions and it goes much better
they give you GR keys and bounty mats so you dont do rifts and bouties, but they cap the paragon so that you dont want to do infinite GRs. makes sense. And while doing so make the Guardian set mandatory, lowering build diversity more than the class set does by itself.
Weirdly, I have more bounty mats than yellow mats.. I don't have enough white/blue/yellow mats to use all my bounty mats.. Never have I imagined I'd run into this scenario.

I am so happy that I don't have to do bounties for mats anymore. Soooooo many mats and can get these visions portals to pop in less than a minute. Really, so happy! Bounties have always been the most tedious thing for a soloist to farm.
The difficulty increase in monsters per level of the Visions is insane. I hadn't the notion it will be like that. That's why I died a lot doing Visions while leveling. Certainly not recommended as a level strategy for Hardcore players.

Something I noticed about the blue elites you find in the portals is that when you have the double deaths breaths set on the game gives deaths breaths as though each elite was an entire set
you can spawn them on any map with a lot of monsters in seconds. the only thing you need is movement speed or movement abiltiies. Firebird wizard, chicken doctor or Fist/steed sader does it in less time most people identify and salvage items in town.
I open those portals from act 2 temple of the first born. The portal opens very fast and it opens 100% of the time - at least in my ~200 attemps this was the case. About the amount of level: Is this depending on the speed you clear that level? I usually play quite slow compared to you and never had more than 5 levels.
cow levels are trully the way to go ! i have once had 4 portals in 1 cow lvl ! you only need to wait till the portal is shut before going back and continuing the cow lvl ! a couple days ago i had 2 portals at the last 4 waves that spawn at the cow lvl ^^
That last bit about being a bit higher than T16 is correct. When I was a bit lower than that, I went in to a portal and was insta-mobbed and proc'd. I do not have enough mats to do a screen full of cow sticks, so I have to wait for one to turn up. Any other places they tend to drop?
its dumb, they removed two game loops (rifts and bounties). You can say they merged them both into one and then crancked the loot lever to the max, but that in itself is quite stupid, now we have only GRs remaining with one occasional portal when you have no mats. GRs GRs GRs GRs. We were not doing enough GRs it seems. They did not give anything new to complete, they just removed some game loops and exchanged for a dumber and shorter one. I completed two chars with full augments, tried the new stuff and I can now quit the season already because there are no GRs past 150 and doing more GRs doesnt give paragon power. There is nothing to do when you try the chicken and horse novelties.
well, i have to say i have like 140 or Key Stones without ever having done a single regular Nephalem rift. that's great! basically regular neph rifts seem to be obsolete this season. and, i have 100+ of every bounty material from just doing challenge rifts and Diabolical Fissure dungeons. HOWEVER, the biggest thing i've noticed is that i still have to do bounties to get my rings of grandeur, gloves of worship, and avarice bands. Is this true or can these bounty-exclusive items also drop inside Diabolical Fissures??? thanks!
I wish there was a deaths breath into souls cube recipe. I have around 5k of it after only a few days of playing its crazy.. also like 700s of bounty mats. I wish we had auto salvage cuz there are so many white/blue/yellows that drop in those portals its insane.
So while leveling i avaraged maybe 6-10 floors in these things. After 70. I cant even remember the last time i had one that lasted more than 4 floors. Maybe it's the speed i'm killing them at? Dont know if this is bad advice or not wudi but if i skip the first floors atm i get no loot. More often than not the goblin spawns on second floor. =/
Nice, I don't think crafting bardiches for Cow level is a great tip for more casual users though, wasting hundreds for yellow, blue, white mats is not something worth giving up rather than just try to find one running around.

I constantly avoided doing them, because I overlooked the "book" in town (didn't play for years). Means I identified every fck... legendary manually ONE by ONE - salvaging them ONE by ONE. Sure now I can identify all of them at once but after a few vision runs I fck have to salvage 350 legendaries ONE by ONE. This feels way worse then working! Thx, Blizzard!
I haven't had to do a single normal rift this season. If not for gem levels, echoing nightmare keys, and pushing, there is no reason to do greater rifts either. Visions are cracked.
These seasonal rifts are good fun and love the drops and mats. Though if I would voice one complain, the final chest should also drop at least 2x the amount of souls compared to the bounty mats it drops, ie 20 bounty mats then 40 souls should also drop. Reason why, easily the best and most useful thing about the bounty mats is Recipe 2, reroll a legendary item, useful if you need to make it into an ancient. However, the cost on that recipe is 5 of each bounty mats but 50 souls! Meaning, even if you pick up every legend that drops and salvage it, your bounty mats will soon be in the thousands as the amount of souls are used up way way faster. So IMO, the final chest should also drop a decent amount of souls and these new rifts would then be perfect.
They shoudl remove those portals instead. They are fun for a while then get boring as fuck. They just make rifts and bouties totally obsolete, forse only GR playing while paragons have no meaning anymore and shorten the season too much. I have maxxed and augmented two chars already, the ones that have new stuff. What now? Quit.
Blizz always has a pain point in their designs. Too many forgotten souls would make the game too easy. I stopped playing today in favour of doing chores because it was too easy.
I believed killing fast with quantity definitely multiply the chances of loots dropping, neva been change ever since during CMWW wizard era, at the most they can only make adjustments of the co efficiency...

If you do this with a proper screen-clearing and fast build, not a sluggishly teleport around while casting meteors type build, you have to go back to clear your inventory 3-4+ times on average just to get rid of the legendaries and make room for the next floors' loot. It's definitely better than farming 1min GR90 for forgotten souls/ancients/primals, but also more tedious with all the teleporting back and forth.
@@TheClownSquad If you take that sluggish build and fully clear every floor then yeah, you will make the same number of trips as an efficient build that fully clears every floor in a matter of seconds. You'd be doubly stupid to do that though. If you want to farm with a non-farming build like this, follow his advice and just skip the lower floors, and thus make fewer trips back. Idiot.
thanks wudi, last couple days ive been going back and forth with myself deciding whether to do grs or visions. with this info ill be sticking to visions until i get a good primal or 2 i think.
So maybe im just unlucky as hell, but i farmed this way for about 2 days, with a really mediocre amount of legendarys and as good as no set pieces(got more out of cadala even😂😂) started farming stage 50 grifts, less then 6 minutes each even when i just chill. Usually between 2 and 4 legendarys, and approxamatly every other run at least 1 set piece. For me grifts seem better if you try to get sets or legendarys.
temple in act 2 is a 100% chance, u just need to clear the first stage, actually any of this mobs will spawn it, sometimes early - sometimes late, I had never a full clear of the temple without a portal
I seem to recall pressing M for map to remind myself what bounty I was doing before I entered the VoE. I think I used the map to go to the start of the bounty map. And then T for town.
Feels almost like a cheat mode! Got 2 primals tonight in very short space of time and loads of ancients too. If they had this and the altar at the same time it would be unreal. I also use temple of the firstborn to generate the portals into VoE. So many legos, set pieces and if you get the goblin level tons of materials too. I've never had so much stuff!
Starting with Season 30, you will have both the Altar of Rites and the VoE portals. Raxx mentioned in a video a few days ago that he was talking to the devs and they told him that the portals will continue on into being a standard mechanic of gameplay, like the Echoing Nightmares did a few seasons back.
i dont even care about the damage nodes from the altar, i just want the auto salavage pet passive back. i havent been limited by yellow; blue and white mats in years. maybe they should make more mats conversion recipes to get rid of dbs or even bounty mats
I find that getting portals is almost too easy. 9/10 times I do a bounty one appears along the way, especially the Boss kill bounties. I just go through all the available bounties and do only the boss kills which almost guarantees me a Vision each time. Once all the boss's are done I simply exit and go back in to start all over again. I have never had so many mats in my life for a single season. You can also just create a Staff of Herding and spam runs of Whimsyshire. Again the Visions seem to open in there almost every time.
The primal ancient drops are better 100% I was getting 1 per day doing grs but yesterday I had 4-6 can't even remember how many I got because the loot is so crazy
Doing Bounty to spawn these seems ideal, though can be sometimes annoying if you're far away. In multiplayer one person can keep portal open before going inside but he needs to remember to use teleporting to town via map and use teammates to teleport back in. It's really easy to mess it up :-D
The loot is fine. But this season has the same problem as d4. The season mechanic adds loot, and thats it, no change in gameplay. just throwing loot in our face (bounties are basically useless now) is a poor season theme
I've never had more than 400 of all act mats and over 2k db! But holy cow I wish we still had auto salvage🤦 Also, Tal Rasha is squishier this season, I rarely died last season.
Visions of Enmity have one purpose: shorten the season so that everybody can switch to some other game faster. No sense of completion just loot pinjatas that remove normal rifts and bouties from the game. Its just bad. Im max paragon with all augments a few days into the season, and playing a second char that will soon be the same. After that I can quit since I already played everything else in previous seasons, and this doesnt bring anything meaningful by itself.

I did some of the visions when I was leveling and I got SO MANY white items. It was nuts! really helped for getting materials together.

Temple of the firstborn has been really consistent for me, especially since I don't feel like wasting mats on getting cow levels.

It's crazy how many Grift keys & Bounty mats you can get through this. Just 2-3 days after launch and I have like 200 keys and 400 of all acts :D

Around level 40+ I realized I could survive a number of levels but yes, death can come swiftly if you go one level too high and get cc locked.

I run Ruins of Corvus for these portals. It has plenty of enemies (scarabs and demons)

I found the best way to portals was to do cursed chests, when they show up as bounties. Especially the kill 100 + ones.

Nah its everywhere and too often. I can open a portal on pretty much any map that has density in 10 seconds.

really hope visions become permanent so next season we can run them with auto salvage and double double deaths breath. THE GAINS

You still need to do bounties for rorg ring. One for cube and follower.

Yeah when I was after RORG and Avarice, I had some visions that took 2 trips to town to clear the legendries
I made a Reddit post on this a few days ago. People didn’t believe me. But from my testing you can get 4-6 VoE to spawn from a cow stick.
I did have a floor 14 full of blue packs that dropped me 3 Primals. I was shocked!

It’s great I’m averaging a primal an hour and lots of goblin super packs. I play the foth crusader and just run and blow the screen up hehe.

The mobs have a fixed level or scalate with yours? Can you kill the mobs with a low level char?

thanks wudi, last couple days ive been going back and forth with myself deciding whether to do grs or visions. with this info ill be sticking to visions until i get a good primal or 2 i think.
just make sure that you unlock the primals first (in gr)
So maybe im just unlucky as hell, but i farmed this way for about 2 days, with a really mediocre amount of legendarys and as good as no set pieces(got more out of cadala even😂😂) started farming stage 50 grifts, less then 6 minutes each even when i just chill. Usually between 2 and 4 legendarys, and approxamatly every other run at least 1 set piece. For me grifts seem better if you try to get sets or legendarys.
temple in act 2 is a 100% chance, u just need to clear the first stage, actually any of this mobs will spawn it, sometimes early - sometimes late, I had never a full clear of the temple without a portal
I don't like the high spawn chance and that I can only get out through town and now where I entered the portal but overall its a great addition
I seem to recall pressing M for map to remind myself what bounty I was doing before I entered the VoE. I think I used the map to go to the start of the bounty map. And then T for town.
Feels almost like a cheat mode! Got 2 primals tonight in very short space of time and loads of ancients too. If they had this and the altar at the same time it would be unreal. I also use temple of the firstborn to generate the portals into VoE. So many legos, set pieces and if you get the goblin level tons of materials too. I've never had so much stuff!
Starting with Season 30, you will have both the Altar of Rites and the VoE portals. Raxx mentioned in a video a few days ago that he was talking to the devs and they told him that the portals will continue on into being a standard mechanic of gameplay, like the Echoing Nightmares did a few seasons back.
i dont even care about the damage nodes from the altar, i just want the auto salavage pet passive back. i havent been limited by yellow; blue and white mats in years. maybe they should make more mats conversion recipes to get rid of dbs or even bounty mats

71 levels and i haven’t gotten one of these. 41 with a wizard and 30 with a monk. I guess they forgot to update my game.
I find that getting portals is almost too easy. 9/10 times I do a bounty one appears along the way, especially the Boss kill bounties. I just go through all the available bounties and do only the boss kills which almost guarantees me a Vision each time. Once all the boss's are done I simply exit and go back in to start all over again. I have never had so many mats in my life for a single season.
You can also just create a Staff of Herding and spam runs of Whimsyshire. Again the Visions seem to open in there almost every time.
The primal ancient drops are better 100% I was getting 1 per day doing grs but yesterday I had 4-6 can't even remember how many I got because the loot is so crazy

They should replace Helltides in D4 with visions bc D3 is where it's at rn

Doing Bounty to spawn these seems ideal, though can be sometimes annoying if you're far away.
In multiplayer one person can keep portal open before going inside but he needs to remember to use teleporting to town via map and use teammates to teleport back in. It's really easy to mess it up :-D

ACT 2 KILL VIVAN BOUNTY, OR THAT ZONE HAS PORTAL EVERY TIME.
I just start doing bounties if/when you finish an act you've found 3-5 visions
it is gonna get slammed with the nerf bat... Worst thing is, they will nerf it to the point where it becomes irrelevant.
These need to become permanent and bring back the pet salvage

The loot is fine. But this season has the same problem as d4. The season mechanic adds loot, and thats it, no change in gameplay. just throwing loot in our face (bounties are basically useless now) is a poor season theme
I've never had more than 400 of all act mats and over 2k db! But holy cow I wish we still had auto salvage🤦
Also, Tal Rasha is squishier this season, I rarely died last season.
Visions of Enmity have one purpose: shorten the season so that everybody can switch to some other game faster. No sense of completion just loot pinjatas that remove normal rifts and bouties from the game. Its just bad. Im max paragon with all augments a few days into the season, and playing a second char that will soon be the same. After that I can quit since I already played everything else in previous seasons, and this doesnt bring anything meaningful by itself.
