You forgot one thing.. for entire 7.50 hour you are gonna sit ..leading to fatigue..which normal super fast train like Nellai does not allow. You can sleep ..having a great nap and getting up in morning as fresh as possible. Vande bharat is one time feel train while our regular train are far best.
Due to vande bharat there is one advantage, availability of tickets in other train will be more.

It is not for everyone, there are people like to travel in this mode. It is for better than bus at anytime. But everyone can travel short distance on this like TEN to MDU or to TPJ

This is better than omni buses that charge cut throat prices especially on weekends and festivals. No body cares about fare. People want faster travel. I have travelled in chennai guruvayur a lot from chennai to trivandrum. Its spine breaking , tiring journey except nov - jan months in 2nd sitting. The comparison of guruvayur express with vb itself is irrational and stupid. Its like matching coovum with kaveri.

It’s for people who are ready to spend money and reach faster and also with some premium features (for elite experience lovers) that is not available in buses or in other trains. Normal train tickets are enough for most of the passengers.
If and only you should travel in VB, you can try without food for now (carrying own food) and after introduction of sleeper VB and Non-AC VB we can consider it as alternative to normal trains.
Because train’s speed depends on track max limit and importance given while operating multiple trains on same track and also by the number of stopping points.
When track limits are increased, all current LHB coach trains support up to 130 not only VB.
All lhb coaches support 130kmph agreed , but they won't run a 22 coach intercity at 130 all the time due to technical issue, so I traveled through VB yesterday, till certain distance after Vellore it did 130kmph ,
Yes a wap 7 is powerful and matches VB but vb is memu type so accelerate faster , so even with same stops it will be faster than a average super fast train

Sir, but you forget to mention seat availability in other trains between Tirunelveli and Chennai Egmore. Very difficult even tatkal. Always waiting list
No tatkal for these VB trains. 100% booked from day one. Out of the 9 VBs introduced only this one and Kerala VB is running full from day one.
Traveling time just two hours only difference between nellai n vande bharath. But we should extra pay approx 400 to 500 rs. Too much expensive in vandhe bharath

Your choice, nobody is compelling you take VB trains.
Here two hours difference is a huge gain in out network, yenna except gatimaan express, most trains are limited to 130kmph only, so if the track is upgraded to 130kmph the train might do the same distance in 6.3 hours, which is good compared to a omni bus, so VB cannot be compared to normal trains. And 2-3 hrs gain is a great thing in our network

Price should be reduced.. Max fare for chair cars should not cross ₹1000.. Where as Executive Chair cars price should not be beyond ₹1500.. I think, there is nothing special on Executive chair cars except for 180 degree rotation. Indian Railways must reduce the fares.
