So to explain some context yes Sora is in our very own reality in the real world now according to them this is in Japan the real Shibuya everything is actually a one for one of the city and since you watched dark road if you look at the picture of young Xehanort with the umbrella that was made he has a possibility of being here as well because he says in dark road he wants 14 lives and the background lined up with a park that was in Shibuya Japan so there's that. Another thing I'd love to mention IMPORTANT 5:06 BUILDING TOP RIGHT the stuff panning in no one ever talks about those trees are from the lost ancient city in advent children and ff7 look it up and do a side by side comparison!!! Please lemme know what you think of that by the way
And by the wallets. I really tried to complete Union X as a pure F2P, and made it at least 3 years straight without paying a cent. Then the Final Fantasy 7 Remake came out and the game celebrated by including FF7R banners to pull from. I gave in and spent $60 in less than a month. I 100% completed the story missions, and the medals I earned from the FF7R banners didn't make too much of a difference at the end because the power creep in that game is absolutely insane. What mattered more was the help I received from Damo279's community lol
But has he though? It was confirmed that the only reason Sora looks the way he does is because he's in Quadratum. If he ever leaves Quadratum, he may go back to "Clown Shoes Sora."

Nomura stated in an interview that Sora and Strelitzia look realistic because Quadratum is realistic, Donald and Goofy were there to show that the usual cartoony style we're used to will still be present in the non-realistic worlds. Nomura also stated he also had plans for a Kingdom Hearts: Verum Rex, but thought a new numbered title would be more appropriate. On another note! Well done on getting this far, you now join the wait for more with the rest of us. Missing Link recently had a closed beta test in Japan, so it's probably a few months from release. KHIV on the other hand probs has another 2 or 3 years. They showed this trailer so it wouldn't be leaked really early. Not sure when we'll get another trailer for IV but I don't imagine it'll be this year (but I'm open to being pleasantly surprised :P) It's been a pleasure watching your journey with this very treasured series, thanks so much for sharing!!
Fun Fact: Large franchises having mobile games with huge stories that are canon is very common. Final Fantasy has a lot, Shin Megami Tensei had several directly tied to other games, it’s spin-off Persona had them too, and one of the biggest mobile games on the market Fate/Grand Order is a spin-off that connects everything in the Nasuverse including past works before Fate like Tsukihime and Kara no Kyoukai.

@@suicunesolsan It’s still canon though which is the whole point of the comment. What’s more outrageous is having mobile games that became lost media entirely. Like those aforementioned SMT and Persona games... the SMT ones legitimately *looked better* than the console ones graphically!
That's not a great precedence though. It just sucks having to deal with FTP microtransaction riddled game to follow a story. You end up just watching the cutscenes on youtube or reading a wiki. That's not something I want to do. I would be fine if they port the games to be console friendly but they rarely do.

Hades in KH2 dragged post-FFX Auron into his Underworld, so even before he grabbed the upperclassmen from the Final World, we do know he had the ability to grab the dead out of other World's afterlives... and since the Final World is connected to Quadratum, Hades is the logical choice for a disney character able to reach Unreality
Finally seeing you completely caught up with the rest of us is such a treat! You've come a long way since the beginning of your journey, and now we all get to move forward with the series at relatively the same pace! Enjoy the peace of no new KH content while it lasts cuz it is gonna break loose the moment Missing Link and 4 come out XD

my theory has been they aren't looking for him, but for Auron. They just happened to run into Hades. Think about it, Auron's been they only character they know that's died and come back, if anyone knows what's beyond it's him.
Since sora went beyond death they're probably trying to summon him from the dead like they did in dark road, or someone who can help them get to him, a lost master maybe? Ephemer?
For missing link, blame the japanese market that consumes a ridiculous amount of mobile games but yes, pain. Also I suggest you watch the KH 4 trailer in a nutshell by trueblade seeker. The KH journey is not over yet.

supposedly sora's lack of clown shoes and change to design are part of the Quadratum 'world-aesthetic' like in pirates world, pride lands (lion king) or tron worlds. so in other worlds he will look more like in the unreal engine animated cutscenes at the end of the 3 main games.
From what I recall, there was a question asked of Nomura and he said that the person in the teaser was NOT Hades and has not been in a KH title. Wonder who it could be.

tbf Sora was always an "anime boy": I mean in the sense it's pretty obvious he was not designed by an western company, but anyway rather than "anime boy" in this trailer he totally gave me "final fantasy boy" vibes I'd say. I have a theory the art style will be altered as long as he remains in quadratum and things might go back to normal if he goes back to the "normal" world(s): we already saw that multiple times, for example with timeless river that alters the art style to make everything look like a black and white cartoon for example.

So glad you caught up and are fully committed to one of my top three favorite franchises, just wanted to add that even though it is a mobile title, I feel very optimistic about Missing Link, a feeling that I didn’t have for Union X or Dark Road outside of their story. Missing Link by comparison to those games, already looks to have absolutely superior graphics, absolutely superior gameplay, the open world mechanic is a game changer, not sure if it’s confirmed but it seems like we’ll have voice acting for this game as well which means the cutscenes will be so much better and more palatable as well. The function to play it at home or go outside and use the AR function like a Kingdom Hearts version of Pokémon Go is welcome and very intriguing for me, on top of already some rave reviews from people currently trying it in the closed beta test. This one I think will surprise people, especially getting to know the story of the origin of Scala Ad Caelum as well as what happened to Ephemer and the rest of our merry crew from Union X. On top of finding out how this serves to set up the events to come, including the new Lost Master Arc. We’ll see how things play out but I think you should try it out, hopefully it’ll be out before the end of this year at the earliest…

But good thing Missing Link finished up the beta, then alpha and game release would arrive afterwards possibly this year and more Kingdom Hearts IV news, fingers crossed.

6:30 The Keyblade's Keychain was once available as a variant attack in KH Re:Coded (in case you haven't play the actual game yet, not the movie one). After a long absent, it looks like they are going to bring back Keyblade's Keychain as an attack/support action once again.
It makes sense that Donald and Goofy went to Hades... Since Sora seems to be "Dead", who better to tell you where to go than the God of the Underworld? As for Missing Link, let me tell you this is the ONLY Mobile Game we as a fandom actually wanted. A 3D ONE WITH GOOD QUALITY CUTSCENES?! GIMME! And not to mention, the KH4 Trailer taking place in Quadratum... Sora got Isekai'd! Except since he was already in a magical world, he ended up on a normal one... Which is accurate to Japan to the point where the Fans already doxxed him. And I guess this is where the Backup of Strelitzia ended up! In a world of Fiction... No WONDER she was never found! Finally, we gotta talk about Sora. Remember, by the time Rimu comes to get him, he's been gone for ONE WHOLE YEAR, so the Sora we get here is gonna be both SUPER CONFUSED at the start and SUPER OP at the end! Also, all the footage from this trailer was scrapped immediately, since they wanted to make the game in Unreal Engine 5. They only made this so it couldn't be leaked! According to Litzi, Sora's been here for one week. Assuming him waking up on the couch is him first respawning after beating Yozora/getting Crystalized, that means his consciousness has been gone (see: in Smash Ultimate) for about 7 Days! And lastly, while Sora deals with the MoM and the other Hooded Figure (Luxu? Young Xehanort?) over on THIS side, the rest of the Keyblade Crew is dealing with the Lost Masters over on their dimension... That's about all I got... Can't wait for the Darth Vader boss fight!

Currently on my own Kingdom Hearts journey, just finished watching your Re:coded reaction next I'm on to playing Dream Drop Distance then watching your reactions to that! Hopefully by the time I'm all caught up Kingdom Hearts 4 is out! (wishful thinking I know lol)
My guess is that the worlds of unreality will look super realistic and similar to current Final Fantasy style graphics and the worlds of reality will continue to look how they established it in KH3
All we know is that whatever is happening in the last master arc thanks to yozora we know people who have different appearance and have something to do with the power of names.
Now that you've finished the current Kingdom Heart games, I'd recommend "A Good Enough Summary of Kingdom Hearts" - summarizes the overall plot with as much sense as is permitted
Dee has finally reached all of us in the insane hype waiting for this game (KH4). XD And also the disapointment for Missing Link being a mobile experience. Pls in the future we need a remaster of the Union Cross and Dark Road story even if it's just in cutscenes pls Square.
2 possibilities : either the whole game will have that picture or it's the whole "you take the form of this world to fit in better" that we've seen so many time before. Halloween Town, Atlantica, Monster Inc... And yeah, it's definitely Hades we're hitting at. Which would make sense, Sora is kinda dead at this point for the other characters. You know, I think he's the villain we've seen the most with Maleficient. In which game are these 2 not in ? As for Missing Link, having a mobile game make it more accessible for people than buying a console or 10 games to be up to business. I can't wait to see what the story will be, since we kinda know by now Eraqus and Xehanort have the blood of Brain and Ephemer. And who will Luxu be disguised as this time ? Everyone will be suspect ! :p But by far, what I was the most excited about when these got announced, it was the end of Dark Road. I love Xehanort and I needed to see how his story ended. And it didn't disapoint. I want to acknowledge the music for all the trailers, Missing Link in particular.

It being common does not make it OK lol. Also, FGO has lots of cameos from other Fate properties, but I wouldn't call it an interconnected story.

As for Missing Link, let me tell you this is the ONLY Mobile Game we as a fandom actually wanted. A 3D ONE WITH GOOD QUALITY CUTSCENES?! GIMME!
And not to mention, the KH4 Trailer taking place in Quadratum... Sora got Isekai'd! Except since he was already in a magical world, he ended up on a normal one... Which is accurate to Japan to the point where the Fans already doxxed him.
And I guess this is where the Backup of Strelitzia ended up! In a world of Fiction... No WONDER she was never found!
Finally, we gotta talk about Sora. Remember, by the time Rimu comes to get him, he's been gone for ONE WHOLE YEAR, so the Sora we get here is gonna be both SUPER CONFUSED at the start and SUPER OP at the end!

2 possibilities : either the whole game will have that picture or it's the whole "you take the form of this world to fit in better" that we've seen so many time before. Halloween Town, Atlantica, Monster Inc... And yeah, it's definitely Hades we're hitting at. Which would make sense, Sora is kinda dead at this point for the other characters. You know, I think he's the villain we've seen the most with Maleficient. In which game are these 2 not in ?
As for Missing Link, having a mobile game make it more accessible for people than buying a console or 10 games to be up to business. I can't wait to see what the story will be, since we kinda know by now Eraqus and Xehanort have the blood of Brain and Ephemer. And who will Luxu be disguised as this time ? Everyone will be suspect ! :p
But by far, what I was the most excited about when these got announced, it was the end of Dark Road. I love Xehanort and I needed to see how his story ended. And it didn't disapoint. I want to acknowledge the music for all the trailers, Missing Link in particular.
