That theme tune, it played out as Paul Daniels took his bow after a marvelous little show I saw him perform in 2014. it immediately stirred up childhood memories of his wonderful BBC series. The touring show was titled The First Farewell Tour, making it obvious that Paul was thinking in terms of being at the end of his career. That combination made me feel just a little upset for a moment, as it struck me that one of very few people who I regard truly as a legend was there right in front of me saying goodbye to one of his final audiences. Of course, it's all the more poignant to me now, given that he sadly died only two years later. It really was one of his last performances.
God Bless you Paul Daniels so sad to know you are no longer here with us all. I am so glad i got the chance to talk to you once... it might of been brief but you left a lasting impression just as your magic will for many many MANY more generations R.I.P.
Daniels took his time with the boxes trick! Think about it. LOL Could have read the whole Tarbell Course in that time. LOL (that last one for magicians)
Used to be a big fan of this show. Really impressed me as a kid. Still good entertainment but I forget how long Daniels used to drag out some of his tricks. And they are pretty easy to figure out now!
When you had entertainment on TV Saturday night. Regret not seeing him when I did have a chance, so great to see these shows & of course his guests.

Does anyone have eps from his 1992-94 series? They used to all be on TH-cam but to my dismay have been taken down :(
Can see why the show ended in 1994. It was a pale shadow of its former self by this time...

I just find Daniels was always rude to his guests. Lennart Green has an incredible talent and Daniels is quite dismissive

I don't think he is rude, he just feels the need to fill dead air like a radio DJ but it's unnecessary most of the time.
