OZOB is actually a character created by two very famous brazilian youtubers for their D&D Campaign, back in 2013. When CDProjektred reach youtubers to add them to the game, the group asked if OZOB could be added instead. The channel is called Jovem Nerd with 2.51M subs.
OZOB even has a book about him named OZOB - Molotov Protocol.
Kinda wished they included the bozos in 2077. Fighting a clown gang would have been hilarious.

ozob was actually created in the 90's by Azaghal only. obviously he became quite famous after being used on their rpg campaign but it wasn't neither created by both of them or in 2013.
@@photopsia Kind of... He only made the chart and never actually used it until they both created the backstory for the campaign. Not that it makes much difference at this point...

I always avoid his nose when i fight him just to keep him alive. I wish we could keep his goofy little clown van
Bozos are a favourite antagonist of my cyberpunk 2020 GM and have led to many amusing stories, they also killed my first character who's last words were rather appropriately "I f**king hate clowns."

You actually found a group to play Cyberpunk 2020 with? That is an accomplishment
a year or two ago, i was watching a friend of mine play Cyberpunk and V got into a sparing match against Ozob. V landed a killing blow causing the grenade to detonate and right when he did, my friend went into photo-mode as he likes to do and it couldn't have been a more perfect screen shot of the Ozob's head in mid-explosion and we laughed for so long. of course he reloaded the game because he didn't want to kill Ozob. it was great!
His death gives a crafting spec for one of the most OP grenandes in the game called Ozob’s Nose

I don’t know if that’s after the 2.0+ update though. :)
It’s like the clown invasion of 2016 again
Ozob was the hardest fight I had in the entire "Beat a brat" saga due to his nose. One bad swing and his head went the way of the dodo.
when I fought him three times, I kept punching the nose because that was the only part of him that actually took his health down, played the game over a fourth time in patch 2.0 and it surprised the heck out of me when his head blew up, I wonder if my game was bugged in the older version of the game 1.0 because in that version I was wailing on his nose and nothing happened.
If they still existed it wouldn't exactly be a fun time for them, my character has a tendency to, upon seeing gang members of any gang hanging out, attack and murder them at random.
So for the clowns they could be hanging out somewhere and some guy they don't know appears, chucks a grenade in their group and starts popping headshots for no other reason then they are in a gang.
The meta reason I do this is because gangs are one of the few groups you can attack without getting police on you so they're a quick way to get XP, eddies, and street cred.
Gangs like these are really scary when looking through the perspective of a civilian, but if they were in the video game, and seeing how my V handles everyone else, they would quickly become nothing but another corpse in a dark ally somewhere

It's funny... The IRL clown epidemic of the early 21st century is in cyberpunk too! Life mirrors art mirrors life. Also gotta love the Juliards, no one can perform a murder scene with more feeling than a Juliard.... (IRL It's a famous acting and stage performance school... Basically the best)

I love your videos, you're so good at storytelling. I'm French btw but the way you speak is comprehensible to me. You use nice wording like "vice versa" which also exists in my language 😂. Your take on the cyberpunk lore is so good. The guys who created and contributed to this universe were completely ahead of their time. Sea level rising, no more oil, corporations taking over the world. I feel like we live in a washed out cyberpunk dystopia: we have the corporations but no flying cars. Btw I highly recommend to anyone watching this video to have a look at another Cyberpunk-related video essay about ads in this universe: "Cyberpunk 2077 in a world full of ads" on this platform.
Ozob Bozo always reminded me of Adam Baldwin's character "Animal Mother" in Full Metal Jacket, but futuristic.

The lack of Bozos, Ozob notwithstanding, in Cyberpunk 2077 saddens me greatly. They're my favorite gang and I was hoping they'd get added with DLC. Alas, this dream is not to be. :(

What if in the next game, the Bozos reemerge in place of the Maelstrom who are already falling apart from within no matter what V does to them? I'm pretty sure that Night City would miss having a gange of average cyberpsychos around than killer clown versions...

The Bozos were in the 2020 edition, from the late 80s/early 90s, around the time ICP was getting going.
yeah, bozo predates juggalos. When they came on the scene I swear I believe the Pondsmiths are predictors of the future.

If you havent, would you consider a playthrough of phantom liberty for us poors, or just sticking to lore? Dont wanna spoil myself but i cant even play the dlc with my console. I’d love if the subsequent cyberpunk book that will eventually come out for the setting expands on their presence and shows they really are just around everywhere.

Its a book about him and his "original" lore. But I doubt you will find it in english though.

The original Flomo Klown got 120 months but got out on probation after 60. I think she's still on probation rn. The trend as a whole mostly died

One thing I always wondered is if or what the British have if anything in Night City. Coz I notice all the gangs somewhat are obviously exaggerated versions of different cultures such as the flags gang being america, tiger claws having asian origins and valentinos being mexican inspired. So it makes me lowkey kinda feel bit left out as a British person there wasn't really a British gang or corpo in Night City then again in real life you wouldn't really see British gangs or corps in an American city. My guess and closest version is Maelstrom because they look a bit like British 80s punks but yeah.
Maybe in the sequel a British gang or corporation could turn up in Night City. What interest would the future UK have in Night City? Honestly no idea. My guess is maybe like real life they see some buisness potential or something. But yeah I think CDPR really should incorporate a British gang or corpo in NC in the sequel because British Anarchist history imo is really interesting and I'd love to see it in CDPRs futuristic dystopia

Bozos were created by Lisa Pondsmith back in late 1980s for the TTRPG. Wonder if ICP was inspired by them :)
