If they just advertise games as early access and release them in an initial state like cyberpunk did at release i wouldn't mind at all, because the core gameplay and writing was always good
I think expecting UE5 to be the magic bullet for performance is a mistake. So far every game regardless of engine has had major performance issues across the board this generation. There needs to be a better distinction between tools that enable developers to do more in less time and real world performance. Lumen and Nanite and all the bells and whistles haven't translated to the user experience that was marketed at the start of this generation of gaming equipment. They lead us all to believe that these new advancements would lead to better performance in a context that was misleading imo. They had us all thinking gaming 60 to 120 fps would be doable at every resolution and that the new apis would solve scaling and load management. So far that has not happened. What we've found is the developers have more head room and are using as much as they can, but they are not optimizing their games. They are in a mind set that they have to use all the headroom at the cost of frames and latency. There is also technical deficit in people who know how to optimize games to modern APIs and work with windows on PC. This is why we have so many issues with games not using system components efficentally and sometime not at all. I just don't see how UE5 or any engine is going to fix all that.
After playing Phantom Liberty, it feels like Cyberpunk needs about 2 more yearly DLCs. The game isn't getting old anytime soon and that DLC was miraculous.

They released a game that flat out did not work in many cases. To the point that Sony gave refunds for digital purchases for the first time ever. I want to see a new protaganist, and if a theory that v’s augments are not lost but just disabled by militech in the fade away ending, we should find and reactivate V
That’d be goated, cuz that’s true his cyberware isn’t gone per say but turned off, so technically it could be turned back on say the Nusa needed him again
It is a distinctly 80s American game, setting, and genre. The punk energy of the 80s and the punk energy of today are incredibly not the same. My despair for Orion is high, and my hopes are low.
A game studio making a hyped game turn to garbage isn't the problem. The fact that this studio not only made it right, but went on to make it better than anyone could've ever imagined has earned my respect and trust with a sequel. Given that most triple A companies now tell their gamers to "eat shit" or that we are "racist and/or sexist", I'd rather give my hard earned money to CDPR than Activision, Ubisoft or EA.
@@kristiankopera Yup, in Morro Bay - a tiny retirement town with a good seafood place. You know how it is, the developers move in to a tiny undiscovered community and then it's all downhill from there...
They could literally just release dlcs where v buys himself time/searches for a cure. Especially having made an enemy of the FIA/made waves in that world. The amount of interested parties in baiting V would exponentially increase.
I can't wait for Orion. I came to Cyberpunk after PL and 2.0 had already released and fell in love with it immediately. I've never spent that much time on a game all at once. 270 hours flew by like it was nothing.
If Orion is to CP2077 what New Vegas was to Fallout 3, then yes. Asset flip, new stuff, focus on plot and stuff while keeping what already works. We are in an age where games don't need to look better anymore. Red dead 2 had perfect graphics, now we can go back to making great games.
I hope for two things: stay non-only-USA-style with world building and PLEASE don’t overdo it with the mp implementation. I believe 2077 isn’t dead by now IS because of the missing mp. Let it not influence the (re-)playability, please.
over 2500 hrs in C77 and never once did I care about the manholes. Who is to say what the manholes will be like 50 years from now. I prefer a mix of the world rather than just the U.S. Just my thoughts.
They dont need to create a new game. They just need to build something on top of the already existing game. The graphics are good enough for the next years.
If we have the same team behind Phantom Liberty at the helm then I am confident the sequel will be extraordinary. My personal desire however is that they continue the story of V and Johnny. There were so many questions left unanswered by most of the endings of the game. Most particularly the Johnny-Rouge/Johnny suicide mission ending. Working with the ever so cryptic Mr. Blue Eyes left us with a massive cliffhanger. There is such rich potential in the lore of the black wall and rouge AI’s and the game gave us such an air of fear and mystery behind it. That and grumbling of another corporate war… It would provide an excellent backdrop for a sequel with V and possibly Johnny. Mr Blue eyes and his mysterious background (it’s somewhat alluded that he’s a rouge AI manipulating humanity) and connections that could possibly help V survive the relic without compromising his life or competence as a merc. It would be a perfect narrative backdrop for a sequel, navigating the intrigue and uncertainty of another cooperate war as you work for Mr Blue Eyes in exchange for a cure and slowly uncover who he truly is learning more about what lies behind the blackwall. A narrative such as this would allow the writers to retain the same magic which originally made the V and Johnny dynamic such a great character duo and pave way for much more exciting themes in which made Phantom Liberty such an exceptional story. I don’t want to see V and Johnny’s story end just after one game. I see so much potential continuing it forward as a trilogy, similar to what CDPR did with Geralt of Rivia in this Witcher series.
If people are still holding a grudge with CDPR your just hating to hate at that point, if you’re hesitant about Orion fine but 2077 is a masterpiece at this point
"Masterpiece." You're OBJECTIVELY, not SUBJECTIVELY, OBJECTIVELY, wrong. They didn't deliver on even 80% of what was promised when the game was revealed. And I say that as a fan who bought it on day one.
Cyberpunk is a tabletop role-playing game in the dystopian science fiction genre, written by Mike Pondsmith and first published by R. Talsorian Games in 1988. It is typically referred to by its second or fourth edition names, Cyberpunk 2020 and Cyberpunk Red, in order to distinguish it from the cyberpunk genre after which it is named.
7:16 No it did not take place in LA, it takes place in Night City, geographically it is a coastal city near modern day Monteray, and was a "designer" city built by Richard Night, who was murdered during construction and thus they named the city after him. LA still exists in setting and is the capitol city of the state of Southern California.
How many copies has Cyberpunk 2077 Sold? And btw CDPR doesn't Care about their reputation. Reputation in the gaming industry is not important. EA proved that with Battlefield 2042

400 hours in CP2077. Absolutely loved the game and Phantom Liberty! Took a couple months break and need to jump back in for another play through. Gorgeous game on 4k Ultra!
I wonder if Ciri was able to visit the world of cyberpunk because, in The Witcher 3, there's a scene where she told stories to Geralt about the unbelievable futuristic-like world she visited in her adventures.
what i really want to see explored in the cyberpunk universe is the moon and space exploration. the concept just seems sick, + when was the last time you saw a game that took place on the moon.
Rockstar does industry leading work in many facets but let's be honest, from GTA3 through RDR2 they've had 1 game (RDR2) with a good main story. The Witcher 3 and 2077 stand mostly alone in terms of world building and writing.
I love that cyberpunk adds what were once mods into their game to help make it better. They use idea from the community and Actually listen to its fan base to develop and change 2077 so I'm hoping they keep with that
I love everything about cyberpunk but the thing is yes you have all these buildings and houses but you can't go in or do anything with them, if it's hoping to be like this again won't be buying it
I am super excited for the next Cyberpunk game. For me, all the effort they put into making 2077 a fantastic game with one of the best DLC ever has already won back my trust. I certainly have more faith in them than Bethesda...
I recently installed CP2077 and GTAV to play the story on each again since it had been so long.... After about 8 years of not playing GTA and about 1 year away from CB2077 I came to one conclusion... GTAV feels like indoctrination for the future. CB2077 feels like an interpretation of the future.

Anyone that hasn't played it since launch is seriously missing out. Its such a good game.
I agree now with phantom liberty its a different game from launch(and a great change)
The world of Cyberpunk is vast. So many stories untold.
I dont want a multiplayer mode anytime in any game
Only multiplayer game I want now is GTA 6 nothing else because of how badly it's been ruined
call of duty single player?
@@LIONGOD I like the campaigns of cod more than the multiplayer.
Same, I don't play multiplayer games anymore, I love my single player experiences
No cap frfr I don’t want it either
Anyone saying they'll never support them again for..what, a rocky launch? That wasn't even half as bad as a Bethesda launch? I'd seriously doubt that they ever really did support CdProjektRed to begin with. People just like to talk in hyperbole. "I played half a Witcher game before! They owe me!"pfft. Favorite game ever.
FACTS.
They released a game that flat out did not work in many cases. To the point that Sony gave refunds for digital purchases for the first time ever. To say that it was a rocky launch is a massive understatement. They've more than redeemed themselves in my eyes, though, with the improvements made after the fact.
@guska5523 and yet I didn't experience any of that, playing on PC, with my setting maxed. Yes, that is literally only my experience, but I guarantee, I am not the only one.
But they have absolutely gone above and beyond, and I'd say Phantom Liberty was just the evolution the game needed
@@guska5523 It was only a rocky launch on ps4, I played it first day on pc and had no issues.
No sweetbaby inc. and they are good
I played through the buggy beginnings and still loved the game. I can only imagine how awesome Orion is gonna be.
I'm sorry, but if you're "still feeling burned" by the launch of Cyberpunk, wtf? There can't REALLY be anyone that feels like that still, right? If so, good lord, get over it.
ngl i think he kind of missed the mark on that, i think there's VERY few people who are still hating on cyberpunk at this point. cpdr made a massive turnaround and i think almost everyone recognizes that. also, the devs were literally bullied into releasing the game early, i would argue it really wasn't their fault for the buggy launch but rather the impatience of the community.
@@imaginify6173 Less the community, more the investors - they kept pushing the release dates, whereas cdpr tried to put the launch back because they knew the game isn't finished. Fans only made fun of them and starting forcing them because they had their release postponed 3 times or so.
@@matteiasm.3618 ah okay, that makes a lot more sense. either way, they were pushed to release a half-baked game which was not at all their fault. if they were given the time they needed the release would've been much closer to what we have now i'd assume
@@imaginify6173 yea probably, still unused areas of the map remaining which is a bit sad
Cyberpunk is one of the masterpieces in gaming that everyone should play. Launch was awful but the game is in my top 10 now. I'm sure they've learned their lesson and im excited for the new game
Would have been better if they actually made the game what they advertised there's so many features that aren't in the game even now
@@crossdaboss8914 and locations
Good to hear I just finished cyberpunk for the first time last week doing a replay for phantom liberty now . Love the game , glad to hear a sequel should be coming .
I really hope Orion has more customization.. like bionic limbs and more cybernetics and drip..
with american PC authors im scared we will get more political agendas and nothing more.
I played it since launch and I consider one of my favorite games of all time. I can't get enough of this game so I am super excited for another one.
Love this game! I played through probably 7 times and plan to keep playing! It’s my go to game if I’m in that “what to play” type mood!
I love how the majority of cyberpunk videos all at a “meet hanako at embers” point
This was a brillant game...even with the bugs at release, I could see the vision so overlooked the glitches...replayed it when the update and confirmed what I knew....the devs for this game need more recognition ... thank you all involved making cyberpunk
UNREAL means UEVR ready means hopefully they'll design more advanced cyberware and hacking experiences to really shine from a vr perspective
Bruh cdpr is the effin goat for what they did to fix cyberpunk, absolutely love that game I cannot say enough how incredible it is one of the greatest games ever made
I've played through Cyberpunk like 6 or 7 times now and I love it. It's def one of my all time favourites. I will for sure be buying the sequel; I just hope they take the time to get it right on launch this time.
Saying red engine didnt handle dense open world is very untrue. Red engine handled it really well. CDPR and Epic even said that their partnership will lead to improvement of UE in this regard, because UE is way worse at this stuff
Bro would be like the Hulk..massive power surge out of nowhere and just like that his power and strength from cyberware comes back
It is a distinctly 80s American game, setting, and genre. The punk energy of the 80s and the punk energy of today are incredibly not the same. My despair for Orion is high, and my hopes are low.
Favorite game ever. I played some 400 hrs and didnt get bored just distracted
I'm a bit worried about cdpr future games after I saw their recent push for new hiring guidelines
Same. Hopefully seeing the love Ubisoft and Bethesda are getting for such decisions will scare them and change their minds.
Hope it has an optional 3rd person mode.
Pls no multiplayer. Not even as optional. That takes away very considerable dev time.
The story was beautiful I hope they bring V and Panam back or at least keep them together in the next game if they are mentioned
7:10 not sure cyberpunk 2077 took place in LA.
It doesn't. It's in California tho, between LA and San Francisco..
It's San diego
@@kristiankopera Yup, in Morro Bay - a tiny retirement town with a good seafood place. You know how it is, the developers move in to a tiny undiscovered community and then it's all downhill from there...
Correct, it's in Morro Bay, which is over 200 miles north of LA.
I wish they would keep making DLCs for Cyberpunk 2077. Somehow V survives and comes back, maybe in 2080?
They could literally just release dlcs where v buys himself time/searches for a cure.
Especially having made an enemy of the FIA/made waves in that world. The amount of interested parties in baiting V would exponentially increase.
V survives in one or more endings depending what you do.
@@joncarr5545 Yea, but V louses everything and is left so weak they basically become a low level NPC.
@@joncarr5545 "surviving the ending " and "surviving after the ending" are two different things.
@@bigwhitehound He can also become an Engram
The Cyberpunk 2077 Remaster 20 years from now gonna be lit 🔥🔥🔥
I can't wait for Orion. I came to Cyberpunk after PL and 2.0 had already released and fell in love with it immediately. I've never spent that much time on a game all at once. 270 hours flew by like it was nothing.
Dear CDPR, scrap The Witcher and full steam ahead on Cyberpunk plz
hold on now LOL I've been looking forward to a new witcher game for YEARS
100% agreed. Cyberpunk >>> The Witcher.
Even From has Armored Core as financial backup...
No
No chance they make to much money from witcher mate
If Orion is to CP2077 what New Vegas was to Fallout 3, then yes.
Asset flip, new stuff, focus on plot and stuff while keeping what already works. We are in an age where games don't need to look better anymore. Red dead 2 had perfect graphics, now we can go back to making great games.
Gonna play more Cyberpunk 2077. It's truly amazing.
You mentioned that the map could get boring. But depending on the time period, they could make the map completely different.
If you swore off CDPR and then played phantom liberty and didn't forgive them, you have no heart. This game is top shelf.
I hope for two things: stay non-only-USA-style with world building and PLEASE don’t overdo it with the mp implementation. I believe 2077 isn’t dead by now IS because of the missing mp. Let it not influence the (re-)playability, please.
Cyberpunk sequel??? Here take my money, take all of it.... 😁
LET ME PUT THE MONEY IN THE BAG
No. You saw what happened with 2077, be patient lol
over 2500 hrs in C77 and never once did I care about the manholes. Who is to say what the manholes will be like 50 years from now. I prefer a mix of the world rather than just the U.S. Just my thoughts.
Best game imo
Deff one of the goats!
My burning question, will V return for Project Orion??? Personally, it feels like V has to return.
I always liked cdpr games for feeling different. I attribute it mostly to being made in a non anglo country. I hope they can retain it.
This game in VR is just insane
By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.
They dont need to create a new game. They just need to build something on top of the already existing game. The graphics are good enough for the next years.
I know it's a long shot but I want mc to be V again and it be a direct sequel
The next cyberpunk should have a cameo of Ciri
I just want to see Songbird again. I miss her already.
I dont like hee
If people are still holding a grudge with CDPR your just hating to hate at that point, if you’re hesitant about Orion fine but 2077 is a masterpiece at this point
"Masterpiece."
You're OBJECTIVELY, not SUBJECTIVELY, OBJECTIVELY, wrong. They didn't deliver on even 80% of what was promised when the game was revealed. And I say that as a fan who bought it on day one.
Pls not US and Canadian developers... we know where its going...
Since its going to be made in America lets hope that the characters wont look like concord characters
always had faith in CDPR, can't wait to see what they give us next
Cyberpunk is a tabletop role-playing game in the dystopian science fiction genre, written by Mike Pondsmith and first published by R. Talsorian Games in 1988. It is typically referred to by its second or fourth edition names, Cyberpunk 2020 and Cyberpunk Red, in order to distinguish it from the cyberpunk genre after which it is named.
Cyberpunk now is what I wish starfield would have been like... I'll always support cdpr.
All I really want is new game plus from 2077. It would be nice to replay the story and dlc again. I’m just saying
Technically you can, just start another save file, however I presume that you mean to retain everything you own into this story
There is a mod that allows this on PC. Not perfect but pretty good.
The only thing im worried about moving to UE5 is our ability to Mod.
I liked the vibe of the original Cyberpunk better when it came out than after all the Americanized changes. This is why they lost my Cyberpunk2 preorder. I will wait for it at SALE. I know that my few dollars are absolutely irrelevant, and I know that my opinion is absolutely unnecessary, but... that's how it is
I want more romance options and more happy endings
400 hours in CP2077. Absolutely loved the game and Phantom Liberty!
Took a couple months break and need to jump back in for another play through. Gorgeous game on 4k Ultra!
I wonder if Ciri was able to visit the world of cyberpunk because, in The Witcher 3, there's a scene where she told stories to Geralt about the unbelievable futuristic-like world she visited in her adventures.
I’m pretty sure that’s what was implied is her statement, there is a small chance Ciri has met V.
if she visited future why she didnt bring a switch back??
its just an easter egg
what i really want to see explored in the cyberpunk universe is the moon and space exploration. the concept just seems sick, + when was the last time you saw a game that took place on the moon.
I started in 2023. My experience: most played game of my life. 4 digits.
rockstar games needs to make a cyberpunk game. NOW that would be truly epic.
I‘m afraid that moving to an american dev team will result in Futuristic GTA and not an actual Cyberpunk sequel
2077 was pretty bare bones, hoping for more vertically, 3rd person would also be dope imo
I recently installed CP2077 and GTAV to play the story on each again since it had been so long....
After about 8 years of not playing GTA and about 1 year away from CB2077 I came to one conclusion...
GTAV feels like indoctrination for the future.
CB2077 feels like an interpretation of the future.
everyone whos still mad about cyberpunk today hasn't played the game in the last two years.
you can still criticize the launch tho, I love the game now but cant say the same about launch cyberpunk
would really love to see morgan blackhand in the sequel
On one hand I want V story back, but on the other hand I understand why we would not get it. That's hard
The people who can't forgive CDPR are missing out, and there isnt much more to it than that
