Very well done video! I stumbled upon Alma's story while doing some genealogy research. Her story intrigued me to research it further. You covered much of what I found and more! I felt her life had to be remembered. So much so, I researched where she was buried and set up the memorial on Find-a-grave for her. I've noticed since then, there have been a few books written about her. I'm glad that her story is being told. Thank you for your work!
I visited Louisville 3 years ago. Nice town. This murder cases from the early 1900's are interesting. The twist about the priest caught me off guard. But religious authority figures have committed horrible crimes as well.
Children regularly walked everywhere back then. She also walked back and forth to school - which was about the same distance in the other direction from her home. (Strangely, I attended high school in the same building where she went to grade school ...)
How so? Most sources that I came across provided essentially the same information. I got some additional details from books, including "Louisville's Alma Kellner Mystery" by Shawn M. Herron. Are there additional sources you think I should look at?
I am actually the author of that book and yes, I did a LOT of research. Lucked into primary source material - Wendling's trial transcript in fact. @@OutofthePast

You are so sweet Lisa, I left flowers for the sweet child. May she RIP.
I love these stories - the writing and narration are wonderful.
You have the best channel ❤️
Sad story, fascinating video.
How could someone be such a monster?
I believe there might be something written about it in this book we call *The Bible* He comes to steal - kill & destroy.
I have a child who has been missing for 19 years.
I am so sorry! I will keep you in my prayers.
@@debbiemorgan6701 thank you so much 🙏

they commit the worst
I know this was a different time but the lack of supervision given to children gives me anxiety.

So very sad.
Louisville is my hometown. To me it always seemed safe and welcoming. I had never heard of poor Alma. It's a heartbreaking crime.
I have done a lot of research on Alma and this story was very different from the others.
