      @@smallmannic8595 its just a big risk. Hes more likely to get injured again now and i dont know if risking another big chunk of cap space is worth it. If anything I'd just sign him with at least a team option so yall can drop him if it happens again.

    I’ve been wondering about this ever since I saw him get hurt , believe it or not this same thing happened to me about 3 years ago , my patellar tendon ripped a piece of my tibia bone up and it tore my meniscus and part of my acl , and there was damage to my growth plate , and I played my Freshmen and sophomore season but throughout my sophomore , I was experiencing so much pain and discomfort , so I went to the doctors they took fluid out but I kept feeling pain, I couldn’t walk down stairs right , I couldn’t walk normal , so I ended up stopping playing and I’m going into my senior year and I’m not gonna be able to play cause even when I walk I feel pain , only when I walk for long periods of time , and all of this is so unfortunate for me because I am only 17

      Omg, I had almost the exact thing happen to me 3 years ago as well, when I was 15, on my school's basketball team I had the same symptoms. I didn't completely rupture mine but I tore it. I tried to play through it in practice but the pain was too much, I couldn't do sprints or anything. The doctor shut me down from all sports and even now I'm having pains walking and going up and down stairs, bending my knee, etc. The pain from before is still there but the severity of that pain is not as bad. Stay strong man.

      I feel like if he was in both of the playoffs against Utah and Portland, OKC would have won... No one can stop Dame and Mitchell in that series but with extra good defender like Roberson guarding them, atleast they could slow them down... Donovan wouldn't drop 20+ in the 3rd in game 6 and could atleast slow him down on offense if Roberson was there... Dame wouldn't lit up for 50 in game 5 either... Dame would probably still drop 30+ but not 50 with Roberson's helped on defense

    I did this injury in both knees at the same time whilst playing football (Soccer) in still recovering now as I did this in September and had my 7hr, Double Knee surgery about 5 days later.
    You couldn't write it... My Patellar Tendons literally exploded, the sound was incredibly loud and 5 of my mates all heard it. I still find my scars unnerving to look at. Your videos are fantastic, I am recovering well and there's hope I may return to Basketball in maybe a other year with time and training.

    I suffered from this injury when I was 17 years old. From what I have read and heard is that it is much more common in teenagers and also about 50% more likely to happen to females. It is honestly the only pain I have felt in my life that I can consciously remember and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Now being 26 it still limits me. This injury is a tough one to get over and I hope he makes a successful comeback

    What kind of contract does he have? I mean, most players, even decent players who got injured gets cut or not extended after season ending injuries. Proven all stars may have some considerations as they wait a year or 2 (KD, Rose, Wall, PG, Klay, etc.) to get back to their form. It really is a bizzare case for him. Or, it could be that OKC is just really that good of a team considering how they kept him for so long.

Actually ended up tearing my ACL again along with my meniscus because the possible cadaver did not become accepted, so then my hamstring was used. So Four surgeries later, I was literally on crutches for almost 2 school years doing rehab for three years almost. It’s a long recovery. My doctor told me it was one of the worst he’s ever seen, he actually told me it was the second worst on a noncontact injury. Just thankful I’m able to walk and work out properly still !

    Thanks for the great content, it’s fanatastic as usual. Don’t know if you’ll take suggestions on other athletes injuries, but if so I’d love to see some in-depth on Johnny Herberts crash and recovery in 1988, which i find incredible as he was racing again the following year

    I’ve had patellar tendinitis on my right knee for nearly 2 years, thanks to quarantine I wasn’t able to do much activities since out government didn’t allow basketball because it’s too much of a contact sport, I’m all well now but it took me 4 months of absolutely no activity on my right knee. It really takes a significant time to rest and heal and now I’m starting to improvise my therapy on my right knee.

      @JamieC_17 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Be careful though dude total rest is really bad for tendons. You're pain has likely just gone away because you're not playing ball. Best of luck with the rehab though this is a good time to get strong again 💪

    So im getting back into exercising after being gone for a while and a buddy told me i am squatting wrong because my knees were in front of my toes. He said its hard on the patella tendon area. Could poor squatting technique add to this problem?

    • @rodt9779
      @rodt9779 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nah I think your friend is wrong dude. I don’t think squatting with your knees in front of your toes is that big of a deal, but your form could still be wrong. Watch an athlean x video on this topic and squat form in general to make sure you are good.

    • @cesaresaladandthespicycrou4080
      @cesaresaladandthespicycrou4080 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rodt9779 so i dont think its that big of a deal for average people like me, but when its an athlete with such long tendons and probably lifting so much weight i would imagine thats when they get damaged

      Looks like in his debut back hes defense is still there and it could really help the thunder if they go against a shooting threat such as CJ or even Lavine, his offense also improve alot.

    I like his game a lot even though he didn't have a 3-pointer or the best 2-pointer he found his way on the court and that's pretty impressive. In 2K you could put him on their best player and he would slow their production down alot.
