      And you also should have a list of places you can not hang.
      The state park in my town in mn forbids hammocks.

      @@dikenelijah2655 You could try this one: www.amazon.com/dp/B07NLSKSRF. I bought it on amazon and I'm surprised about the quality. The attached mosquito net is quite a good necessity.

    I love my Haven. It just works. I'm 6'3 @ 245lbs. Finding a comfortable hammock in the past was just frustrating. Getting into a sleeping hammock isn't easy for big people. Especially when you have to get up in the middle of the night. 0 issues with this hammock. Get out quick, and get in quick, and nothing gets out of place. No spending 10 minutes trying to wiggle and maneuver back into that just right position, or giving up because you just can't get back to that position. Yes it has some weight to it, but I'm fine with that because I know I'm going to sleep good.

      Sweet thanks for your review of that one man I just ordered one. Switching from tent to hammock, its pricey but it should be a great transition 👍

    Gotta say, the Haven is the easy winner here with its design flexibility air or ground and flat sleep, unless you don't mind sleeping like a banana in a sack. And the thing I've found using a hammock so far, its not always going to work in the terrain you are travelling... flat and no trees? You're screwed that night. The new styles of hammock that hang from the top Ridgeline is such a better method than to go swinging around (like spinning a bread bag) on the traditional centre points.

    This is not a review it's simply a random list of stuff that hasn't even been purchased let-alone tested by the channel. Useless crap, if you purchase based on this video you are basing your purchase on paid adverts alone - not any kind of tangible independent assessment. Pointless click bate, affiliate marketing bull-excrement. Some of the products might be good, but you'll never know from this video!

  • @jeffd7976
    @jeffd7976 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Yeah I agree with the other more knowledgeable posts. Nothing against the new manufacturers paying for a plug, but my advice is....pay more than this. And I know Tensile is quality but the others don't hold a candle to Hennessy, Dutchware-Clark, Warbonnet & Amok. But as far as tensile goes, think setting up a tent is hard? Try leveling a triangle in midair.

  • @therealjackfisher
    @therealjackfisher 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The first one.. tree hamock... What a brilliant idea.. I can imagine all the jealouse people who have to pay for expensive camping with surveliance, seeing a tent high in the trees that nobody can get to, and its free and safe.. WOW! That plus climbing gear = super safe from thieves and wild animals. Its expensive but so cool!!

      @@thebardock6785 Avoid any hammock that says it is a Double Wide, while two people can fit in them, they are not made to sleep in. Clark made the only hammock for two people and even that was just two hammocks sown together and the few people I know who had one sold them after using them a couple of times. The wife and I have used many different hammocks over the years ( I have had several custom made ) but we keep going back to Warbonnet BlackBirds

  • @pedro_claro
    @pedro_claro 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I’ll save your time, most of these are unavailable. (Tentsile, kammock and Crua)
    Crua has only one hammock now
    The Haven is more popular for good reason
    Alternative tent-hammock brands you might want to look at
    Nightcat
    Owlypacks
    Helsdon hammock / Eureka
    Non tent hammocks that are worth it
    Amok Draumr
    ENO
    Warbonnet
    Bridge hammocks(ENO and Warbonnet)
    Quao beluga
    I personally gave up on tent hammocks because they end up being way too heavy, and you most likely need a separated tarp anyway, because setup up in the rain…
    I went with a tarp with doors, double layered hammock with a ridgeline and integrated bugnet and windsock. (separate/detachable ones are good for modularity) I bought Onewind mostly, but you can do the same from Decathlon products. Even better, you can DIY it all if you’re ever quarantined again, save money and make it custom for your needs.

    It would be good if they had a weight rating.
    For a larger person any of those might not be any good, or that a single person might need to seek for a double, which not many seem to be that would take 2... larger couples, than of the 2 mid sized people... that stingray one looks too gimmicky.
