Man, so many bands have been mentioned that totally qualify as nu-metal, and there are dozens more, so I've gone for the five bands that I remember having some sort of impact on me when I think back to that time: 1) Korn. The pioneers of nu-metal. 2) Limp Bizkit. 1A pioneers. AKA Douchetones. 3) Papa Roach. If I sing-shout the word CUT, 7.8 billion people sing the rest of the line. 4) Linkin Park. Shut up when I'm talking to you. 5) Taproot. Quiet-loud-quiet-loud-rappy-screamy-mirror's-reflection-of-a-pioneering-band-that-never-quite-took-off-but-they-remind-me-of-that-era-so-they-make-the-list. 6) BONUS: You can't leave Disturbed off a list of na-na-na-na nu-metal bands. Sidenote: I really don't understand it when people label Deftones or Slipknot as nu-metal. Back to School remix/Spit it Out over-caffeinated remix aside, I think they're just from that era and unfairly tarred with the same bizkity brush.
@@exsuscito its a strong top 5 bro no doubt and while i get you saying that deftones isn't nu metal, i don't think ive ever heard anyone say that slipknot isn't nu metal. would you just call them metal and leave it at that?
@@NocturneMusic It's funny, I've never heard anyone describe them as nu-metal. To me they're just a metal band, but it's all subjective and to some degree it depends on a person's definition of nu-metal.
