I have a Transalp and maybe I'm weird but I do find the overall power to be adequate for my use. What I really find annoying is the low speed fuelling and jerkiness when I'm driving in town. Is there tune for that?
Just test drove one over here in Portugal for a full day. And even with full power and no TC, clearly the bike hardly pulls in 5th and 6th, and, with a pillion, first gear must be really limited since I need to clutch it a lot to get going. Would to test drive one with the remap.
Very excited for this build! I've been wanting to pick up a Transalp but have been disappointed about how choked up these bikes come from the factory. I'm curious to see how many hidden ponies can be unlocked. You are doing God's work gentleman. Keep it up!
The biggest problem youll have when going off road is the crazy sensitive traction control. Its so stupidly sensitive and makes it impossible to use. It would be great to have a user mode configured for creamy fueling, no abs on rear and absolutely minimal (or zero) traction control.
This whinge on the traction setting is getting old 😮…just don’t turn key off and use kill switch , you can customise user setting also and put traction control on minimum, if not off , and the bike remembers the setting . In Australia we get the 90hp model , and in rain mode when commuting there is minimum surging at low speed , using standard mode , the bike goes like a rocket . In sports mode you can wheelie easily . In standard mode the wheel comes up , but not too far . I have just done 2500kms on the recently bought bike , not too sure if it’s a better all round bike than my Versys 650…apart from dirt .
You have to put it in USER mode and turn traction control all the way off, the other modes do nothing to gain any more torque to the ground. And the mods to the airbox and the tune I did on my Transalp 750 throttle wheelies up without any clutch trickery
Hey gota 24' Rite at 1st service arrow can and I jumped at a wolich flash. Its gone from poor to mediocre slight improvement in 0 to 20 % but pulls to about 6500rpm and falls on its face .. Im not Impressed. Could be more break in is needed heard alot of chatter about it setting down at 55- 7500 mi mark I like the gains youre claiming and am anxiously waitin to hear more ! My ECU had to be cut to read a chip that had not been mapped already been through alot ! Just want it to be RITE ! Is a reflash possible after wolich?

Wow that bottom end much be so much more fun to ride after the remap!! I’ve considered getting my ‘24 kTM 1290 SAR remaped but like you suggested of adv riders I’m concerned about fuel consumption/range. It doesn’t need any more power torque at all, but I do with I could get 400kms on a tank!
@@bazitube390 not powerwise but emissionwise. Police can check yr emissions by the roadside. I am in the mediterranean area and in europe we are more strict.
I've got an AT 1100 and would like a bit more snap out of it, same issues as the Transalp. For an 1100 it's a slug, but nice to ride conservatively, just disappointing when you want to give it a flogging.
Do you guys do tuning on low power Chinese fuel injected bikes (the Lifan KPM 200)…. It’s only 17 hp and 12 lbft of torque but a super fun well put together cafe racer package…. It would greatly benefit from a fuel map tune… even a few hp and torque numbers bump would benefit it on such a small base power number …what would such a service cost ball park ..lt’s a pretty inexpensive bike so the tune would have to be affordable
Worst part about this bike is the stupid oil pan design that hangs down 3” below the engine…why make the oil sump the lowest point on the bike…pure stupidity on Honda’s part
That kind of crap is why I hate electronic throttles. I love EFI, hate e-throttle. Buuut what can you do other than complain to congress… seriously 0.01% of vehicles on the road or less are bikes probably less… you’re really going to argue emissions EPA?
If you made a proper cruise control for this while you're playing with the throttle software it'd just be a money printer for you
That explains why the engine is running so hot... Looking forward for the exhaust modifications.
Would your tuning impact on the bike’s buzziness that I experience in the 4-5k rpm range?
Will this tuning be the same for the 2025 model? If it comes out

I'll be getting the hp corse high exhaust for some more clearance. Any chance the akra mapping will work with that?

You can turn it off in the user mode as well as the rear abs
But it keeps coming back! Its not a retained setting.
@scott9531 yes but the low speed throttle response is very poor, it feels very lean. Turning it all off is also a ballache to do.

Which engine do you prefer between the Suzuki 800cc and this one?
Good stuff.. got one of these and would love to ride one of yours!!!
Can you do the vstrom 800 after the transalp... Need to see which has a higher ceiling when it comes to engine performance.
He already did the Suzuki 800 series.
That is why even an abused stock Honda lasts, because it isn't Maxed out. My 471cc Honda is @ 71K Miles currently on the stock battery.
Keep in mind these guys are not "maxing it out" in any way. They are adding a bit more fuel which, if anything, will help longevity
Rad. Very popular bike. Selling one today actually :-) FINALLY have them in stock. My next street bike.

How much and where do I send my ecu to be reflashed?
So… what are you offering?
Got one but in Australia..?
I’m so glad to see this I’ve been looking around for a flash cuz stock it needs it badly
Solid work!!!

After the basic mod, with everything stock will it still be legal emissionswise?
Cmon bro. Police is not putting your bike on the dyno and comparing charts to see if its legal or not.

as these guys have no interest the AT I would recommend having a look at BHP UK ... they do some great tuning on the AT
Time for velocity stacks, dna filter and an exhaust :P
Very interesting… looking forward to more videos and a riding video please!
Very happy to see you have taken this bike on. Just got mine through 1st service. I’m a happy past customer of yours. I’ll be in touch.
Just got mine broke in. I need that tune
Also an off-road mode that got rid of the traction control with a single mode change would be epic
I’m surprised that there aren’t reviewers who just focus on stock and flashed-mods, comparisons.

Great news
I’m interested.
Yah I I subbed because you didn’t return my call and you posted this vid on this clunker.
GRATS!
Worst part about this bike is the stupid oil pan design that hangs down 3” below the engine…why make the oil sump the lowest point on the bike…pure stupidity on Honda’s part
1) It's a common engine across at least 2 models
2) A deeper sump increases capacity and reduces sloshing issues.
Put a skid-plate on it.
