After the fantastic walk around Davidstow Airfield, I make the short drive along one of the through roads to Crowdy Reservoir. Situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor, and with several tors in sight, I take a walk as far as I can get around the water.
This reservoir supplies some of the residents of north Cornwall and has a reasonable size car park to spend some quiet moments. And it has a beach!

A Flock of Seagulls. I had their album one Christmas lol. Shame you can't overnight there, it looked nice and as for dog walkers, well you know what we think about dogs off lead, especially in nature and grazing areas. That pony was beautiful.
@roaminginraymond When I said that, I was trying to find their best known song. Can't remember it. When I was saying that about dogs rampaging, I was thinking of you two!! All the best places don't allow overnighters. It's madness. Found a few car parks on the IOW where it would be okay...
Apparently they have lots illegal raves there. The locals call it Ravidstow!
