    Hello Dr,
    May I know if you have any videos about bowed legs and ways to correct/help with it other than surgery?
    Do you have any opinions on lifting with bowed legs?

    Notice how in the bad lift example, the shins are rocking back and forth instead of bracing in the vertical position. He should be coached not to rock himself into the lift. It's either a tightness in the posterior chain or a new athlete who doesn't have experience with what it feels like to drive through.

      Both, but more for quads than conventional because more knee flexion instead of hip

    I don't understand the hate around sumo. They are different movements meant for different training. Personally it's the one of the only movements that targets my glutes well, whereas traditional doesn't.

      I think people don’t like sumo because it decreases range of motion depending on how wide the stance is, and people can generally pull heavier weights compared to conventional so it may not seem fair in like powerlifting comps.

      Well when referring to competition or PRs then it's dumb, but in just general training and such, I think it has no reason to be frowned upon.

      The reason is, because people claim "I can do X amoun of plates" with saying "I deadlift", they cont put the sumo beforehand in, so they lie to people.

      @@gare_bear72 if it’s just for general fitness then there’s nothing wrong with sumo. Sumo actually has different activation patterns than conventional so it might even be good to do both thpes

    Sumo Deadlift is the most athletic for of the lift. It is a much more balanced lift than the traditional method.
