I've heard it said somewhere that soldiers don't fight to win but to survive. Fighting to win is what our leaders do. Not a combat vet but I did serve. After passing my ASVAB and my physical I was given the papers to sign. I stared at that document a long while, asking myself 3 things. Could I kill another person in self defense or if ordered too. Could I risk my life for a fellow soldier or civilian. Could I allow myself to be ordered to enter into a certain death/suicide mission type of scenario. I served for 8 years and fortunately never had to do any of those things, but I had acknowledged that I was ready and able to do each. No one should ever enlist if they aren't prepared to do those things. You will only be a liability who will likely die or get someone else killed.
this story isnt describing any human, is just describing orks... or a very warped doomer view of something human like, because those aliens sound more human than the so called human captain this comes from the first 8 minutes of video i watched before comenting btw
You haven't read the human history of War or seen or even thought about the worst that could happen to you we fight to protect both sides do either to subdue a threat or dave your own people
You should probably do more research total annihilation is very much something we’ve done especially during the bronze and iron ages perhaps the reign of terror in France of the multiple genocide throughout our history
Soldiers don't fight against what's in front of them. They fight for what's behind them...
The words to describe fights and war, spot on.
In the words of the 2nd Infantry division I served in "Second to none" and "Fit to fight" Always.

I don't want to be the most ethical corpse in the morgue.
Any galactic empire would pretty much have the same back ground.struggle creates advancement.
Just once, I'd like one of these authors to bring up the Geneva Guidelines. To show that we do have some limits.
You would think that the narration ai and the caption AI could talk to each other since they're both ai

Idk bro if we all on the same side I could imagine us being like this
You have a very pampered view of humanity. I can tell you from bitter experience that we are exactly as described in this story.

Amateur historian here. It's pretty spot on, actually.
