I started getting good at Overwatch about 6 years ago and about 2 years after i remember seeing someone be super confident ingame. Tried to emulate that to some extent and I don't think I would've gotten to same heights without becoming (over)confident in my ability to be better than the other guy. confidence is not talked about enough by coaches imo and should be one of the first things they teach new players when they say they want to be serious about getting better at the game.

I'm glad the video resonated with somebody 🫡 I agree it isn't discussed enough, and in fact, is often made worse by the toxic behaviour often adopted by gamers (flaming, shit talking, ego flexing etc), which is fun occasionally, but can serve to damage someone's view of their ability too.

I think fllow state = staying calm for a lot of people. A lot of people panick and don't actively aim anymore and it hurts big time. I have been focusing on tracking better instead of panicking when I think I might die in game and it honestly helps a ton. Great video as always mr log

I’d say that’s a mild version of the flow state. Being fully in the flow goes beyond just feeling calm - it’s when you become completely immersed in the game, as if you are the character, instinctively reacting and making decisions without consciously thinking. Everything just flows naturally, and you automatically do exactly what the situation demands.
Hope I get to tap into that many times this autumn & winter. Gaming season is starting.

Heavily agree with these points, its a shame that this isn't spoken about more. Just because you are mechanically good as a player DOES NOT mean immediate rankups. Aim is a tool, just like abilities and map knowledge.

I actually find certain vitamins are very good as well to help you get in the "flow state"

Pray tell! I'm interested in this stuff, would be cool to give it a go 🤔

Your version of this video would be much shorter! 😁

I don't think that's a good idea. You want to be able to enjoy gaming well into your later years, not just while you're young & pretty.
