Another con of being a Khajiit is that many Skyrim citizens will often use laser pen lights to make you run up walls for their entertainment.

I’ll be real, save for the probably thievery and the whole fascist occupation thing, living in Elsweyr as a Khajiit sounds like one of the most lux things. Their societal adaptations to their weird biology means everything is probably very accessible. I imagine as one of the handless breeds you have many opportunities to learn “mage hand” style spells early on, given what we know of Khajiit wizards. Also they all seem to have a common understanding that they’re an odd folk with odd tastes and needs, but get on very well in spite of it when among themselves. Far more tolerant of “deviancies” than people like the Altmer or hell even the Nords.

Can the house cat khajit use magic? If so, imagine one as an assassin that uses illusion, conjuring, and destruction. If you are outside of elswyer you wont see a house cat and think "thats a khajit" and then the chandelier falls on you or the fire rune goes of in your bed.

The character I've been working on for a minute now is the Flame of Elsweyr.
He is a proud, gray-furred, and wise Khajiit from his native sands. He uses no weapons, instead using his claws like blades to dominate the races of Mer and Men with nothing but what he was given by birthright. His only other weapon is an extension of his heart and soul, the scorching sun of his homeland following him into the bitter colds of Skyrim; fire destruction magic. For ranged combat, he can gracefully evade oncoming attacks and pivot to descend plumes and whirling balls of fire at his opponents. For close combat, he uses his fists, while he is himself emblazoned with flame. While in Skyrim, he at first descended into the Rat Way, and made refuge with the Thieves Guild. After rising to the ranks, bringing it back from glory as he had with the guilds in his homeland, the Flame of Elsweyr realized he had only sealed his visage in the minds of the foreigners around him with the stigmas they themselves burden all of his kind with. He took no pleasure in taking from the Nords or the Elves, as their privilege and home territory bring them abundances of riches to count, the lost relics replaced in time. As this went, the Flame's stolen goods seemed to him more and more everyday as something less than useless, the scraps of his oppressors. He soon after this left the Guild, before ever becoming a Nightingale, petty patrons of Nocturnal, and instead pursued his own spiritual enlightenment. He yearned every passing day to return to his native shores, jungles, and sands, but thought it too soon to return to them, as he would only be running back to the familiar, before he could even recognize himself again. In Skyrim he would stay, for if he could instill again his connection and spirit with his gods, and himself, so very far from home, then he will be worthy enough to return to them.
In his travels, seeking to learn and observe the Nords and their culture to see what he could not then, he helped slay a dragon outside the City of Whiterun, the Flame of Elsweyr's own fire meeting that which came from the Dragon's maw. And from this, the beast's soul was imbued into the aging Khajiit, feeling more as a thanks from the dragon more than its pilfered knowledge. Eager to learn more of this, he set off on a pilgrimage to High Hrothgar, where he would be introduced to the only Men that he could respect; the Greybeards. Upon the Throat of the World he would study with them, hoping to understand and connect to the best he now knew was inside him, as Dovahkiin. Later, as his Mastery of the Thu'um increased, and his discipline tempered, he ascended even higher up the mountain, to experience the greatest and harshest of colds he had ever experienced, his eyes barely open from cold, the hairs of his fur frozen at the tips, his bones straining even more. But it was all worth the hardship, and he knew that, for when he reached the pinnacle, he met and began his tutelage under the Master of the Way of the Voice; the ancient Dragon Paarthurnax. It was through his first encounter, that the dragon knew the Flame of Elsweyr's heart, and taught him a shout to billow his heart of fire through his own shout, almost like a roar of the Mighty cats of Elsweyr. This was but the beginning however, as the Flame would meditate upon the summit for many days and night, shouting his voice upon the cold. But it was during one such night, long after the sun had hidden itself from the world, and the twilight of the full moons above glittered around him, was the cold the harshest it could hope to be. But the Flame was not bothered. He had endured, come to peace, and upon the highest altitude within the coldest lands, he inhaled, feeling the warmth of his home even from here, and exhaled, masterfully surrounding himself in a ring of fire. He had found peace within himself, the fire inside never able now to be snuffed out, even by his own fears and doubts. It now wills him ever onward, as he left the Summits on his greatest pilgrimage, to confront each dragon he faced as an equal, and master each Word of Power the lands could offer him. It was after this long journey, that his roads lead him back to society, to defend his world from the hands of Alduin. But he had now become the Dovahkiin capable to fell the mighty and ancient Tyrant, and was able to witness and set foot in an afterlife he hadn't known yet existed. He came back to Tamriel victorious, but forever changed. He would later grow more fond of wandering the lands than fighting those within them, and would even meet a Khajiit woman who swept his hardened heart away in seconds. Before his journies came to an end, however, he would make one last pilgrimage to High Hrothgar, where he would meditate and come to peace with the wise men and Masters that he now knew as brothers, mentors; friends. And that was the last of his journies, for now. For now, he would pour his focus and strength into building a home and family with his wife, where they would later have a daughter, whose mere existence filled him with joy and wholeness. For he was now finally whole, at this end of this long road from which he started not knowing how empty he was. Perhaps some day, when his children are older, the Flame of Elsweyr would take them and his wife to where it had all started for him. But for now, he was happy, to be at rest, to be home, to be happy. And as he lights the family fire place eith his bare hands, amazing his daughter and youngest boy, and smallest, but most joyous smile graced his face, as he prepared to tell them the story of an Unnamed Warrior, who came to foreign lands, wielded fire, slayed dragons, and found peace at last. His happily ever-after.

I made a Khajiit character named dar'Khashyyyk (get the reference?). It felt awesome to make a Khajiit own a home in Solitude after a long struggle and become largely known across Skyrim due to his feats. Definitely uplifting for
the Khajiit race, though I understand that my character had a major advantage - he was a dragonborn.
I particularly tend to ignore the dragonborn thing that Skyrim throws at us whether we like it or not. I rarely activate the main quest because of that.
Still, it feels awesome to prove the commonfolk wrong, specially when they say we would make a fine rug. Assholes.

For me, the biology is enough for it to be a big win.
You have fur so you resist the cold, and yet you can handle the heat pretty well (deserts and stuff).
If you're humanoid, you can climb stuff super easily, you have uncomparable agility and balance. You have night vision, powerful claws, powerful teeth. I wouldn't go to Morrowind for obvious reasons, but the rest is pretty much fine. You can hunt anything pretty much effortlessly and sell the spoils to earn your living. 10/10 would reccommend.
Sidenote: can we speak about the fact they are considered thiefs yet there is not a single khajiit or argonian in the thieve's guild? And no khajiit in the dark brotherhood either.

Although the majority of my Skyrim characters (and even my Morrowind character all those years ago) have been argonians, I think the khajiit would suit me the most. The main reason I play as an argonian in Skyrim is that I freaking LOVE how the folk of Blackmarsh look in this ES installment. In Morrowind, they were kind of meh, but OK, but in Oblivion and ESO, they are absolutely hideous in my opinion.
    Now to this video...
    1. Screw the roulette. If I was a soul transported into the ES world, I would wait, observe and attune to the moons, because I know exactly what form I'd want to be born as - the mammoth-sized quadruped (I think it's called the Senche-raht..? But I'm not 100 % sure...). Although Alfiq would be OK for me as well. Nevertheless, a quadruped form.
    2. I wouldn't mind staying in Elsweyr, though travelling with a khajiit caravan sounds fun. Who cares about some stinking humans and their cities.
    3. I have no problem with the Thalmor, actually it really pisses me off that I can't join them in Skyrim. Since I really dislike humans in every fantasy, the Empire vs. Stormcloaks conflict is a lose - lose situation for me. If I was the mammoth-sized furstock, I would actually consider joining the Thalmor as a vanguard warrior.
    4. Moon sugar? Gimmie gimmie gimmie!!! As I'm typing this shitstorm of a comment, I'm munching on almonds in chocolate, sooo.... Yeah, meat and sweets, my favourite types of food.
    5. As a battle-cat, I would have absolutely no problem with serving as a hunter and / or warrior. Put some armor on me, place a squad of ohmes / cathay archers on my back, alongside an altmer destruction sorcerer, and I'm ready to plow through those damned imperials and their vassals and rip them to shreds! :D
If there will be an option to join the Thalmor in ES 6, I'll definitely play as a khajiit.

Yep, I don't care what other people think of me so it kinda works out. The statistical advantages are if you are disarmed your not screwed like most others, depending on your type you get a pretty nice advantage as even the house cat has the advantage of "Nobody suspects the house cat." when spying, the giant saber cats would be pretty intimidating as guards or mercenaries, the normal/elven are pretty agile and stealthy and would make very annoying opponents, in dungeons you could simply see in the dark making it so you don't have to attract attention by burning torches, and living in your own land would let you live a pretty comfortable life. My 2 favorite aspects are speaking in the 3rd person and having a barbed penis. :D
I assigned a number to each and used a random number generator, cap being 16 (not including mane), and got Alfiq-Raht. That basically means instead of a barn cat size I am like a maine Coon size right?

I liked it tho and came back every once in a while to make a new character but never played for long. That's until I one day made a Khajiit. I called him Mijhara and he had eyes so far apart, he had a full 360 scope of vision. He also looked a bit like a seal with a hat on. But he had so much personality, so ofc I got Kharjo, J'zargo and Inigo as all my followers, a bit OP probably but I played the game for the story, not the difficulty. That changed it for me, I adored everything about it and I love just running around and exploring and clearing caves to a point where every quest sends me to a cave i've already done haha. Good video! Another good entry into this series you're doing. I find it an interesting choice to pronounce the 'j' in Khajiit like the 'g' in "fridge" instead of the way the characters in the Elder Scrolls games themselves pronounce the word. Sounds more like they pronounce the 'j' in that word like how the French pronounce it in "bonjours". Even, so, great job on this one! I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the series :)

Would have honestly loved if skyrim had the unarmed skill tree. Would have made playing the khajiit so much more fun. Like imagine being able to snap the neck of dragons XD

Tis a good day when your playing Elder scrolls online as a Khajiit. And watching Fudgemuppet as they talk about Khajiit.

I hope Bethesda one day decides to make a FudgeMuppet aspect of Hermaus Mora. It would only make sense.

      not really.
hermaeus mora does indeed collect knowledge and lore, but he would never give it away for free to so many.

@@Tannlore but TH-cam money is like what? 5 cents a view provided you watch a full ad and don't skip it?

    • @Tannlore

@@lordnul1708 Hence the Patreon no? Also at 5 cents a view, let's say that only half his membership watches everything we're talking (.05 x 400k) is $20,000. Now it certainly isn't that easy mind you. Hence, why he has a Patreon as I'm sure he'll tell you, this is where the bulk of the money comes from. Either way, videos of this quality don't come free no matter how you cut it. Fudgemuppet has to spend time making all of it, which means time from a different job he could be doing. Nothing is free, not even the videos here. Someone pays something for them at some point.

@@Tannlore i know, I was just noting how TH-cam tends to jip most of it's content creators in terms of how much they actually receive from the videos themselves (hence why the Patreon is necessary). Gotta them bills (never mind payments for new equipment or software should anything go wrong or be in next of an upgrade), and TH-cam with its funny algorithms likes to screw with the content creators by more or less undervaluing the videos (or even just taking most of what one should get).
That said, 20,000 barely covers rent in most apartments, let alone groceries, bills etc (especially as you get closer to a major city like, for example, London, New York or Paris) so yeah making videos and streaming for a living is, for lack of a better way to put it, rough.
