Discipline doesn’t care about how you feel
Exactly bro. Either you do it or you don't. Fuck "when I feel like"!
I don't want to eat a cheeseburger but I pushed.🎉
it’s not that serious
@@duel2803 prove it
Who knows, I think it's values and how dedicated we are to them (like marriage) regardless of what trails we go through that effects how we "feel". Values that give meaning to our suffering, discipline is simply how committed we are to the relationship.
"When you have a goal that is important enough to you, nothing will stand in your way"
- Michael Phelps
Sometimes it does, life has a way 🎉

Unless it’s The Lord’s will for it not to be done❤️✝️☦️🥰
6 years without missing one day? That is dedication, and that is why he is the most decorated Olympian of all time.
he is the most decorated Olympian of all time because he applied being 6’4 with a 6’7 wingspan, very long torso, giant feet, and a world class athlete to swimming while being the most dedicated.
@@user-vl4iq7bj5e Yup, he is genetically formed to be a great swimmer. Genetics is always a factor in athletics, but genetics without hard work leads nowhere
is it? or is it neglecting himself?
@@kirstieb8025 i guess you could have a philosophical discussion on how he’s neglecting himself. But obviously swimming is his passion, something that he is the best in the world at. So working towards that end isn’t neglecting himself.
Motivation is temporary
But discipline is permanent
He had crippling anxiety and depression too
@@Nopanopthats worth winning 8 gold medals in one Olympic. You have to pay the price for that. Nothing comes free.
@@hiteshgujarathi4636 what if he committed suicide as a result , still worth it right?
@@Nopanop seriously? Do you even know what are you talking about? Man with such great records and achievements will do something that silly for no reason?
Do you even know how much mentally strong and prepared he was for Olympics?
@@hiteshgujarathi4636 seriously? Crippling anxiety and depression are not reasons? Ever heard a celebrity commiting suicide or overdosing on drugs??
My dude was locked in on Olympic mode for 6 years, damn
He had crippling anxiety and depression too
@@Nopanopand overcame that as well 🐐
@@Nopanopdon't worry he over came that with medicinal marijuana!
@@Nopanop what was the reason for that?
@@vedika6260 intense competition and ambition followed by disciplined hard work
Most underrated greatest athlete of all times
he is not underrated....🙌🏼🙌🏼
The man is correct; he is not underrated in any way. He’s a legend in sports.
You r underrated ♂️
He is not underrated, it's swimming as a sport that gets far less recognition than other sports like football, basketball, cricket etc.
Underrated likh deta hu...
Log cool smjhenge
The world doesn’t care about how you feel, it’s gonna keep moving forward ever day. Wether you decide to keep moving with it or fall behind is what separates people.
Phelps is a legend man
Working towards your goal every literal day for years is what it takes to be the best at something. Respect!
Make your 20 to 30 year age the toughest one for achieving your goals.
Never stop even after
@@aviator-kn8zqif you dedicate 10 years to your dream. Non stop I dont think you would have to do much more after that 😂
A very good advice, I'm 21 and finally starting to carry on my life
Hardwork beats talent when talent forgets to work hard ❤
Phelps is a rare champion 🏆
The most underrated athlete who ever lived. GOAT of all athletes, one and only MICHAEL PHELPS
He’s not really underrated anyone who watches the Olympics knows he’s the GOAT of swimming.
@@user-pr7ix3dt7h many low number of people have him as the greatest athlete of all time. Everyone talks about Michael Jordan, Lionel Messi, Ali and this man is basically having greater career than all of them. Only player who can compete with him as the greatest athlete of all time is Novak Djokovic.
This is a true role model unlikely all of those internet influencers
GREATEST ATHELETE OF ALL TIME🙏🙏🙏
Now i understand why USA is so powerful at olympics coz it has athletes like u🥺
This guy own so many medals which so many countries haven’t won in total since they started participating
I love Michael Phelps my idol ...one of the best best athletes of the planet earth .
One excuse, begets another excuse. I never ever lose focus. It is the path to fulfillment, happiness, prosperity, serenity, enrichment and there are no shortcuts.
Legend. The real deal. Respect from Australia. ❤
bro is the Kobe Bryant of swimming olympics
Mad respect to you sir...
One of the very few who can call himself the greatest and no one will deny
When you try to explain to the crowd that you just wanted to stay in bed some days… but what comes out is, “I wanted to stay in the pool” - that’s focus right there.
MR. Olympic ❤️🔥
The greatest swimmer ever. I miss these days. Phelps had the whole country on his back!
In known English language. Modern world.
The greatest athlete ever
GOAT of OLYMPICS
100 days over 20 years? Hell I don’t wanna do anything 100 days every year. 😂😂😂
Right?? 😂
Thats why u will always be a normie and not a legend.
Today is one of those days for me. I’m a para triathlete.. category P3. Today I have a sore chest muscle and my left arm really hurts. I keep coming up with excuses, but I’m dressed and my bags are packed and I’m ready to hit the pool and the gym. This was a great clip to see for me today. I’m feeling it right now I’m more than anything.
Thank you Michael.its the inspiration we need.
He is my greatest athlete much respect for his hard work
i want to be just like him when i grow up i have been swimming for 5 years and i am 12 and started when i was 7
Five to six years, every single day, devoting every single day for five five to six years to one singular objective. Gold medalist commitment.
He is truly the most dedicated athlete in the world, and what he accomplished is something that only happens with effort, discipline and consistency!
I would love to accomplish even half of what he has!!
1 of the 🐐 of sport not just swimming
Goat 🐐. I’m fortunate to see him swim through out his entire career.
Had the honor of watching and recording every Olympic swim of the greatest Olympian ever. Sydney,Athens, Beijing,London,Rio. 23 Olympic gold medals! That will probly never be surpassed ! I got to watch history
Absolute Legend
So about 1.4% of his 20 years he didn't want to do anything. I can really learn from Micheal Phelps he's an inspiration to anyone struggling
I love this guy and he is the greatest of all time in any sport so greatest of all sports !!!! Great job 🎉
fuck off he is.
The days when you dont want is the days you can grow the most. Its like resistance training, you have to push through to grow.
Got it!
Amazing swimmer!
Do the hard work especially when you don't feel like it
One of the best endurance athletes
Legend of hardwork and pain, with wonderful gain.
He was training his mind, body, and soul.
Ultimate talent and drive is unbeatable. That's why michael is the greatest of all time
Best discipline video ❤

True, I never missed a day in college. 3 years
King Of Land -Usain Bolt
King Of Water- Michael Phelps
The goat 😊😊
One of the great ones
When u do something that is important for u even when YOU don't want to do it 💪
I am speechless. 5 years without a day off. This transcends what words could describe.
He is incredible🔥
It's really not that big of a deal. Thousands of people exercise everyday for years on end. The only difference is this guys talented at a sport so somehow it's more impressive...
This is one great guy.
Very motivating 🥳🥳👏🏻👏🏻
True..Inspiring ❤
He used to be my uncle until him and my aunt broke up I have his meddle as well
That was inspirational
Thank you ❤️
The greatest athlete in all of sports history.
Good and great. Brilliant example...!
so much work for only racing for 1-2 mins. He is amazing!!!
I love you Michael Phelps I will be next best swimmer
Mamba mentality 🦍
🦍
Note: this doesn't mean that others didn't work hard. There may have been people who worked harder than him who didn't succeed.
They didn’t work as hard
Greatest athlete
this is dedication if i’ve ever seen it
He went every single day without missing a single day. Makes sense.
That what you call discipline 💪
There is no way around HARD WORK, embrace it !!!!...
ROGER FEDERER...
It has helped me in my workout
living legend real goat....
Phelps and Goggins cut from the same cloth
Let us not compare the apples to oranges my friend
Big hello from Cavic from Serbia... Straight natural sweamer
Fucking mind set seriously greatest of all time
Amazing athlete what a motivation
Champions are made in training.
This type of excessive hustle mentality is very "nice" to say, but he forgot to mention that he was dealing with depression and contemplating suicide because he was in burnout and lost the joy for life because he was always working out and competing (its in his book). So yeah you need to filter these words and be careful about the extreme hustle "gurus". ✌
GOAT.
Yes.
Never give up.🏆
There are probably 100+ high level swimmers who swam just as much as he did with names you have never heard of. In addition to the hard work he had the blessings of genetics
Hardwork beats talent when talent forgets to work hard
Trying to discredit the achievement?
@@siralexrmt5893 not at all. Phelps is arguably one of the greatest of all time. I'm just positing that it wasn't all because he outworked everybody. He certainly could have squandered his genetic advantages. And by all accounts I'm sure he worked as hard as anyone else. However, a 5' 0" man can work as hard as he wants to dunk a basketball, but it's not going to happen. ( and yes im sure someone can find that one 5 foot dunker out there and he enjoys sone genetic advantages of his own). I'm sure there was at least 1 swimmer if not a hundred that was as dedicated as Phelps, but not everybody can be the best regardless of how hard they work.
@@xtrachrisb488 correct. They always talk like they are the most intelligent or wise guys in the world, while they forget they start with a lot of advantage because of genetics only. Which is good I mean, but be real sometimes. The extra workout doesn’t give you a super extra edge. On the opposite, you can really hurt yourself, if You don’t respect your body. It’s like kobe. I mean I love him to death but waking up at 4 am training doesn’t really make a difference. Many other won more with standard training. Is more of a self belief and a kind of romantic story to tell, and it’s ok, but don’t try to tell me that’s the reason of you success, cause it’s not.
@@ManiacoSensuale Agreed. I personally believe there's no cap on growth or discpline. I love Kobe and MJ but it doesn't matter when you get it in, as long as you get it in! For me, I run after an 8-hour work day and then do my sit-ups after. I do my push-ups throughout the day and/or on my breaks. I definitely don't get up at 4am lol. If there is more to be done to add to the discipline for growth, then sure, adjust your schedule but life dictates that for you, no excuses.
Thank you bro
The greatest olympian and athlete of all time
great sir inspire me thank you
thank you ❤
My only inspiration....🔥🔥🔥🎉🎉🎉
Should be more famous, greatest swimmer in history
Sooo true!!! DEDICATION. 😊
THE GOAT
The Goat himself 😢
Reminds me of David Goggins work ethics!
stay hard
Phelps is the fish-finest in swimming history
When you take a guy with the perfect body shape for swimming then he works harder than everyone else you get what Phelps accomplished.
