Who knows, I think it's values and how dedicated we are to them (like marriage) regardless of what trails we go through that effects how we "feel". Values that give meaning to our suffering, discipline is simply how committed we are to the relationship.

He certainly could have squandered his genetic advantages. And by all accounts I'm sure he worked as hard as anyone else. However, a 5' 0" man can work as hard as he wants to dunk a basketball, but it's not going to happen. ( and yes im sure someone can find that one 5 foot dunker out there and he enjoys sone genetic advantages of his own). I'm sure there was at least 1 swimmer if not a hundred that was as dedicated as Phelps, but not everybody can be the best regardless of how hard they work.

@@xtrachrisb488 correct. They always talk like they are the most intelligent or wise guys in the world, while they forget they start with a lot of advantage because of genetics only. Which is good I mean, but be real sometimes. The extra workout doesn’t give you a super extra edge. On the opposite, you can really hurt yourself, if You don’t respect your body. It’s like kobe. I mean I love him to death but waking up at 4 am training doesn’t really make a difference. Many other won more with standard training. Is more of a self belief and a kind of romantic story to tell, and it’s ok, but don’t try to tell me that’s the reason of you success, cause it’s not.

@@ManiacoSensuale Agreed. I personally believe there's no cap on growth or discpline. I love Kobe and MJ but it doesn't matter when you get it in, as long as you get it in! For me, I run after an 8-hour work day and then do my sit-ups after. I do my push-ups throughout the day and/or on my breaks. I definitely don't get up at 4am lol. If there is more to be done to add to the discipline for growth, then sure, adjust your schedule but life dictates that for you, no excuses.
