I have 3 vintage poster . I had one framed that had been previously folded and it was laminated onto some type of support - I asked for acid free… now I believe from what I have seen that this was a mistake . Should all posters be laminated onto a linen backing? What is the most archival?
Each linen backing studio uses varying techniques and materials so we can't speak to what other studios do, but we use acid-free and fully reversible materials. Whether or not a poster should be linen backed is typically determined by the specific poster's needs and/or the clients preference.
