- In this ASMR-infused video we share the process of linen backing an Italian Quattro "The Godfather" movie poster.
About "The Godfather":
Directed by the legendary Francis Ford Coppola, "The Godfather" is a cinematic masterpiece that transcends generations. Released in 1972, this iconic crime drama is based on Mario Puzo's best-selling novel and stars Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone, Al Pacino as Michael Corleone, and James Caan as Santino Corleone. The film explores the world of organized crime, family, and power, leaving an indelible mark on film history.
A Brief History of Linen Backing:
Linen backing originated as a conservation method in the mid-20th century to preserve fragile posters. By adhering the poster to a linen backing, it gains stability and longevity. This process not only enhances aesthetic appeal but also protects the artwork from tears, folds, and discoloration.

Finally, one without that background music. Thank you.
I worked with the usual computer printers so watching a probably printed poster take some sort of liquid bath to be preserved is crazy for me. It's really cool to see the poster retain its ink or something that makes up its design... What an interesting material for its time... 😅
I love these videos. I wish they were longer.
they CAN be! drop the play speed to .75 or .5 and enjoy!
I was watching the Indiana Jones video and I must have dosed off cause I woke up to this one so I didn’t see the title.
I had NO idea what this poster was! I just seen splotches of red and thought “what is that… some sort of abstract art or something” and all the sudden I started seeing Brando’s face! It was like those artist that paint upside down! Gave me a nice little laugh! Great videos! Keep up the great work you do!
I am addicted to this channel. I have to watch every video. Always hypnotized.
Thanks for the longer format video, and the somewhat reduced speed I would guess. Very relaxing
That is an awesome movie poster. Amazing job as usual
You should have a million subs.
Honestly, who knew that the pumping of the water spray bottles sped up would result in such a comical sound during an ASMR video haha.
Love these vids though. As always. (ScouseTrooper).
fabulous!
I wanted to slow this down to watch at normal speed but the audio gets wonky. Would love to watch the process in real time with the ambient sounds of the process. Would be very relaxing. Sped up has a kind of tension to it.
Increíble!!
I noticed that you didn't use glue on the bottom part of the poster, is that correct?
There is adhesive on both halves of the poster. It just wasn’t shown in this edit.
what mil plastic mylar is that and what kind of squeegee is that? anywhere in particular i can buy them? im starting to get into this as well for a few personal posters and want to up supply game. thanks
What are the steps here? What are you spraying the poster with? Amazing to see the process
Hi Chelsea, I noticed you switched off using squeegees- what is the thought process behind that? Also- is your table slanted to let the water move away from you? Thanks! Chris with the Jaws 2 poster!
One is slightly longer than the other so I will use that one to reach on larger posters and yes the table is slanted :)
Impressive! How much would cost to restore a poster measuring 33"x23"?
I’ll admit, I know you all are experts, but my brain has trouble comprehending washing paper 😅
My goodness, hard working AND great looking. Whatta woman :)
you probably shouldn’t spray water all over that, it’s gonna make it get all crinkle up and ruin it
