Slaughterhouse really did humble Royce. His music became less about his aspirations and accomplishments. He really grew as an artist in the last decade. I’m glad I witnessed this shit. Ever since layers his music has been much more important. He pretty much said in that song hard that he was seeing his self change.

Do you think Book Of Ryan is more pivotal instead? I may have overlooked or didn't catch something somewhere so don't kill me 😂 honest question.

He had a different idea for the Slaughterhouse sound, as in he wanted them to have their own identity/personality. Not just be another D12. That’s why he constantly salutes Griselda, because they’re signed to Shady but they move like they’re independent. They have they’re own sound, identity, and personality. Good lord....I wanted this collab so bad I actually thought of a concept for Nas’ Untitled album back in 2007/2008 when hype was being built up for it, where Nas and Em go back and forth about the usage of the word, its double standard between which race uses it, different meanings etc.(sort of like what Nas brought up in “Yall My Niggas”). @@earlwilliamsjr4817 The reaction today would be much different to a Jay/Em collab. Unlike in 2001, people have tired of hearing Em's gimmicky flow and needlessly convoluted wordplay - yes, it sounds impressive, but it doesn't add up to much in the way of meaningful lyrics. On the other hand, Jay has evolved his style and lyrical content to the point where he outshines everyone he's on a song with. Needless to say, it's great that Em can have his fluke victory from Renegade all those years ago preserved thanks to not doing another song with Hov.

Yup there was some issues in the production nd mixing in the first one, but I m sure Em will let you guys have your own sound on this one, plus the first album came in the wrong time, today lyrical rap is taking over the game, again!

He came at Drake within 48 hrs for much less!!! The masses didn't care all that much but he was ALL IN!!! I swear this subliminal rap shit got MCs scared to SET IT OFF.
