    Nice Thready mate :) if you target them or Jewies often it's a good idea to get a release weight to send them back down as they will often get Barotrauma pulled up from the depths. This is the best way to release them successfully as it's less traumatic. Alternatively, a hypodermic needle to vent them also works well but obviously causes a bit of trauma but they recover within a few days. Aim to vent them at the end of their where their pec fin lines up as a guide line going in 45 degrees until you hear the gas releasing like a tyre. Picking off 1 scale will help you vent smoothly. Good luck and good video champ.

      Thanks mate, that’s super helpful!
      Yeah I definitely need to get a release weight, it’s been on the to do list for a while.

      @@martytuckerfishing Cheers man. You can make a release weight yourself if you have a heavy Snapper lead sinker. Cut the sharp barb end off a big hook and attach it to the sinker. It also works and the Thready/Jewie can get back down to the depths and shake off the hook and be free again :)

      If you are going to release Threadies leave them in the water without the measure & facebrag pictures.

    Cool video mate, got a question for you though with the 2 sounders are you running 2 transducers and are they both on the back of the boat? Was thinking I'd get interference with 2 transducers cheers from Newcastle

      @martytuckerfishing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey mate, I’m running both sounders off a single transducer and I have the two units linked with an ethernet cable. Another thing you can do is run two transducers but have one mounted to your tolling motor, which can give you an even better understanding of where the fish are.
      I’ve the Hunter river is a great river for Jew I’d like to fish it one day.

    Hey mate what lure were you using, do you need a depth Finder to find these schools or is it just luck cheers

    • @martytuckerfishing
      @martytuckerfishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate, yeah always best to use a sounder with side scan when using lures as the ports a large place and schools can be few and far between.
      I’m using a Molix RT Fork Flex in Wakasagi colour with a 3/4 oz jig head.
