Great vid again. Do you happen to know how many knots you get out of the 60hp on the 4.2?
@@epic_tangles Hey mate, fully loaded up I can it to about 28.5 knots. So not that fast but fast enough. 👍
Thanks Marty. Another great video. I haven’t fished that area. Just a general question - do you need to travel far from the ramp to get to some decent reef?
@@JH-nh9xx Thanks heaps mate! Nah not far at all plenty of guys get around there in their kayaks.
Always amazes me what lovely healthy looking fish are out there in shallow water.
Thanks for the video as I get a lot of info from watching, I hope to say hi at the ramp one day .
@@trevorcrossley3054 Yeah definitely mate, if you ever see me at the ramp don’t be shy I’m always happy for a chat. I’m glad you enjoy the vids mate. 👍🙂
Thanks for the show great vids mate
@@brucehornet1454 your welcome mate I’m glad you enjoyed it. 👍🙂
Nice! keep them coming Marty. I ike the way you explain stuff as well. Good for us beginners to improve👍
@@steve_76643 thanks mate, I’m glad you enjoyed the vid! 🙂👌
Nice tarpon Marty , good too see some more content 👍👍
@@joshparry2867 thanks mate! Yeah I’ve been very busy of late and when I do get a day on the water the weather has not been kind so content has been a struggle this past month. 😂👍
@ yeah hard to juggle everything and have time to pick the right days .
@ haha certainly is mate.
A nice mixed bag...Thanks Marty..
@@MickH60 thanks for the support buddy! 🙂👍
Not a nice start weather wise, but turned into a good morning session. Good variety of fish.
@@johnsipolis yeah it turned out alright. Because it was blowing mostly from the west and I was hugging the shore I was more happy to persist. If I was fishing out wide I definitely wouldn’t have haha. 👌👍
just like to know what size hook you run on the 1/2oz for those squire .thanks
@@smokeytexx hey mate, as small as I can find 1/0 or 2/0 generally. 👍
The first spot you pulled upto, is that the iron stem?
@@damienberger1138 No idea if it’s got a name sorry mate. Just some rocks I drove past that looked like they might hold a fish or two.
@@martytuckerfishing no worries, was it out the front on macleay island? There’s a couple of post that stick up out of the water that say shallow rocks or something. It’s basically an under water rock wall. Havnt fished it in years and trying to remember where exactly it was to take the in-law over there.
Could be setting the hook too soon on those missed hook ups, More buoyant lure perhaps. Maybe let it load up abit more before giving it the rip n stick lol
@@matthewmorshead2594 Good chance you’re on the money mate, I’ve done very little of that kind of fishing. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to do a bit more soon. Definitely one of more interesting things I tried last year that’s for sure. 🤙👍
How hard was it to convert your boat over to side console...and what were the rough costs...cheers
Yo Marty just wanted to know if you left-handed or right-handed as I’m right-handed and use right-hand wind reel
@@josephsimmons1703 I’m left handed mate but use a right hand reel.
WHAT BOAT RAMP IS THAT?
@@rogerelton6791 Dohles Rocks mate.
It’s a new spot to me, just moved to the area recently and that ramp is 5 minutes from my front door. Got a 52cm barred grunter on my kayak last weekend.
@@ArbyCreations nice work mate, that’s a solid grunter for the river! 👍👌
Onya Marty, good video again.
@@mangajack cheers mate!🙂👍
Awesome video mate. An amazing variety of species, I know you fished for a long session but you are a master angler!
@@Murarrie Thanks heaps mate, I appreciate your kind words. 🙂👍
Is this pine river? Down murrumba end?
@@underoaths777 yeah mate you’re spot on! 👍
@@martytuckerfishing don’t currently have a boat, but had abit of luck off land up near the bridge, not quite as far up as deep water bend.
Great session! I’m yet to catch a golden but they seem to be coming more regular down here…awesome fish 👍🏻
@@farcanalfishing Thanks mate! Yeah first one I’ve caught down here. I’ve seen the pro net fisherman get plenty out off the Amity banks area which is a bit too big a paddle for a kayak unfortunately. I’ve been meaning to suss them out in those parts but haven’t gotten around to it. 👍
Thanks for videos like this one, Marty, we are so glad you are back on a regular basis again. Look forward to every episode.
@@neilkerswell9335 Thanks a lot mate, I’m glad you enjoyed the content! 🙂👍
Which system is it bro?
@@Talzfishing-gc24 Pine river mate. 👌
I've fished the pine for years and never caught a jew or tarpon. Good on ya marty. Legend
@@hamcoc thanks heaps mate! There’s plenty down there at moment let me tell ya. 🙂👍
@@martytuckerfishing cheers mate!! Awesome!!!
You're doing well in that system. After fishing it quite a bit it certainly seems like it's an important nursery for many species. So much bait of every description and not much eating it alot of the time. At least not much in the larger sizes. Can be a frustrating system as everything can be right but there's no bite. Some barramundi way up the creek they say. There's a challenge for you.
@@solo_dingo Thanks heaps for the support mate! Yeah I’ve heard that a few Barra kick around up that system. I’ve never targeted them specifically and to be honest I’d be hesitant to film it just because It’d be a very limited fishery that I wouldn’t want to draw too much attention to (that’s assuming I was actually able to find them and catch them which is definitely no guarantee haha). 👌👍
Finally something good on TH-cam to watch .killing it brother.love watching your episodes.👍
@@ryankjellgren213 cheers brother, I’m glad you enjoy the vids! 👌
Hey Marty just wondering what size jighead for that area and what was the tide doing like start of run in or mid or run out ? Thanks man
Hey mate, depends on the size gear you’re using. If you’re using 20lb or heavier go 3/4oz. If less than 20lb use 1/2oz. I like mid tide run out which is what it was in the vid I’m pretty sure. 👍👌
@@martytuckerfishing yeah nice rips pretty hard there went out there the other day lost two good Jew I forgot my net and lost my $30 lure. I was pissed off more jew land based. And not many on the boat but seeing you catch them like bream makes me feel a bit better that I might catch them like that in the future 😭
@@josephsimmons1703 you will mate they’re not always thick there and you can come back a day later and they can be everywhere. 🤙
@@martytuckerfishing cheers Marty 🙂
@@martytuckerfishing you fish the tides right, say it’s a big high tide in the arvo you would go for a arvo fish not a morning fish?
Bumped into you at the boat ramp tonight. All your tips and tricks around the local waterways have made a massive difference to my fishing game. Thanks for all your help, keep it up 🤙
@@alexcharles6253 You’re more than welcome mate, I’m glad my vids have helped ya catch a few. Great to meet ya! 👌🤙
great video! scare to share those coordinates? :D
Awesome video. I got to try out that lure 👍👌
@@FishnCraze Thanks mate! Yeah that lure definitely catches fish. 👍👌
Nice catch
Nice one mate. Did you change boat or just motor?
@@rupeisfishing Thanks mate, just the motor. Dad and I modified the boat I had. We extended the front and cast rear cast decks plus, put a consul in and chucked a paint job on it. Big improvement if you ask me. 👌👍
@martytuckerfishing Yammy sounds very sweet. Pleased with it? Done any fuel use calculations? Nice video. Cheers
Awesome session bud. Thanks for all the tips 😊
@@tim.1985 No worries mate, glad you enjoyed the vid. 👌👍
What line eating are you using ? Bfs is generally rated 0.4 or less ? Just curious
@@BillyDanielfishing Hey mate. I’m too sure what the technical ratings of bfs are tbh. But yeah I know the 8lb tasline I’m using is PE .4 👍👌
hi Marty awesome vid as usual...love your style..cheers mate
@@ausguy121 thanks heaps mate! 🙏
What style watch Windsor bait and tackle no tea bagging just a hunter 😅😅
Nice vid as per usual . Bit off topic but what prop you running and do you have a foil as well? As is a 11.5 x 13 etc . Thank you
@@stevenm_3sixty Hey mate, sorry for the late reply I had to find the paper work to actually figure out what the prop is haha. It’s an Enduro Heavy Duty G Series 11 1/8” 13Pitch 3 blade. Basically what the dealer put on there. I hope that heaps. 👌
@@martytuckerfishing thank you mate sure does
Nice to see everything is breeding up ok.
@@Balls-of-Steel504 the bay is a fairly healthy place in my opinion. So long as we look after it I’m sure I’ll remain healthy in the future. 👍
Great vid, but Marty where’s the fish taco cook up? 👩🍳
@@Murarrie Thanks mate, I really should do that it is a good recipe. 👌🙂
Awesome session!! How’s is your side scan so clear. I got the lowrance hook 9 reveal with triple shot. The right side isn’t to bad on my side scan but left side is just really dark and doesn’t pick up anything
It'd be your motor leg in the way, next time your out lift the motor and see if the left clears up
@@solo_dingo will give that a crack. Thanks mate
Yep, that's what happens on my boat, have to trim the prop up to get the left side reading.. took me way too long to figure it out 😂
@@joshuathomson7092 @solo_dingo is right on the money I think. I have to trim my engine up as well to get a good picture on side scan. When I modified my trailer it forced me to move the transducer closer to the centre of the boat more the than I’d like creating the same issue. 👍
Thanks for all the responses. I’ll give it a crack next week in the port
My Old stomping ground, I lived at Cleveland point from around 1965 {I was 2 years old} till the late 1970's. You would have liked the bay back then !!!!! ... Good session mate...
@@MickH60 Thanks heaps Mick! I’m sure I would have loved fishing the bay back in the 70s as well, but unfortunately I didn’t exist until the 90s haha. 😂👌
Nice day on the water Marty, I would love to learn how to fish the bay and actually catch fish. Seems you're in the know about where and how? If you have some time to teach me the perk's and share some of your spots, I would love to team up with you for a fish. I have a Bluefin 14.5 Boat with Electric motor and 60Hp. I've been waiting for someone with real knowledge about the bay and where to catch them. Willing and able, Gibbbo
@@gibbbo63 Hey mate tbh there’s not as many perks as ya might think and there’s really not a whole lot (if anything) that I don’t openly share on my vids. For me (and I’d say for most others) it’s basically an educated guess as to where the fish will be and if they’ll have a go. Plus I definitely don’t nail em every time trust me. In saying that, there are people out there that have it worked out way better than I do. 😅😂 I’ve never done a charter before so I can’t speak from experience but I gotta say Capns Charters seems really good and they catch really solid fish on the regular. I’d say they’d be able to teach you way more than I would.👌👍
Have you been back for another crack at them Mate.?
@@dingydate Nah mate, I haven’t unfortunately.
KEEP WELL MARTY,,,,
Marty i was looking to see how big they grow, have you any idea ? oxeye. i have caught them around Weipa but still the same size as you are getting. Cheers Chris
@@dingydate apparently they can get over a meter in Australia although rarely seen that size and when they get bigger they move out of the rivers from what I’ve read.
@@martytuckerfishing Well, over a meter they would be fun , caught a few in the Noosa River but they were around that forty cm, mark.
@martytuckerfishing a few land locked lakes around sunny coast gold some 80cm fish
@@pcsolutionman Good fun any size mate.
Awesome session mate!!! How beautiful are tarpon hey! One of my favourite fish for sure!

@martytuckerfishing oh thank you so much mate!!! I appreciate the kind words!! Let's link up sometime soon and do a colab!! Love meeting other keen fishos!
@@sandytrackxfishing2810 sounds good mate. 🤙
Tarps are fun hey, they go hard when they go deep rather than jump.
@@nugdam8758 yeah man having not caught prior to the last few weeks I’ve got to say they are definitely one of my new favourites.
PS, What braid are you using and B S, mate.
@@dingydate I’m using 8lb Tasline mate it’s an ultra fine diameter braid. It’s good stuff. 👌

fishing just staring at your sounder or live scope kinda sad and not enjoyable
I never see anyone hold a rod like that
