I’m so glad you got another fat boy. Sorry bout the snow but in a few weeks you won’t even remember it snowed as you take the black beauty down the road.
I thought the medium was loud until I rode with a guy that had the Zombies lol. Never ride behind anyone with Zombies, ride in front or 2 lanes over. I ride a 2019 Fat Boy.
Curious, once the weather warms up of course, to get your opinion of them driving longer distance. I've got the Eliminator 300's you have experience with those for a good comparison. Great video as always! Thanks for all the effort you put into these! Glad that Tab took care of you so quickly!
Very cool, great vid. Don't know if you saw my last vid, but I put the stock FB bars plus 2" risers on the Breakout, and the result was unexpectedly good. And yes, weather f#ckery chaps the vittles when all you need is a little wind therapy.
Wow the Tab's sound killer! Great choice! I still have stock pipes on mine but will shop around for options. I had Rhineharts on a previous bike and I am partial to them, plus I was never a Vance & Hines fan, but those Tab's have some punch! Cheers
Great video and that bike sounds great now! I got questions after seeing your gutted stock muffler. Due to economic situation I have to go that route. I am thinking of cutting out a hole to remove catalytic converter. I could just remove the baffle but seems there is no going back. Did you get any check engine lights/ rough running from gutting the stock muffler? I am only planning to do the Cat for now? What would you advise? I just need it slightly louder and less machine-ish. Mine is a 2018 Breakout 114, anniversary edition.
I suppose you could cut out the cat and weld it back up. That won’t be fun. The bike I took the stock baffles out of was a twin cam, so not a Milwaukee 8. That being said, I’m assuming that you wouldn’t have an issue if you’re just fooling around with the mufflers. That is unless you are in a country that has oxygen sensors in the mufflers. If your sensors are just in the head pipes, you should be fine.
Had to put a 475 cam and oil pump in after I bought it, 018 had pump issues, hmm crap harley, lol, I did it cost 1400 bucks, not bad, all the parts I put on, I did, Fatty never been to dealer or shop, I took off both wheels took to a small bike tire shop, got tires there, took 35 min, had em mounted and balance,, 395 buck both, 250 Dunlop, and new front,
You don’t need a tune if you’re just putting on slip on exhaust. As for the sound, I’m not quite sure. I’ll have to get out on the road first to have a good opinion.
@@canadiansa1nt309 ok thanks for the response, I changed my bike a few months ago ,also live in Canada, had V&H 3” Slip-Ons on the other bike the sound was perfect which don’t fit on this 2023 fatboy anniversary the closest thing I see if I go V&H is the eliminator 300 and fortnine doesn’t seem to have them trying to find another Canada shipper
Here is what TAB Performance website’s FAQ section says about tuning tuning requirements with slip-ons: Q: Do I need a fuel management system, if I'm only getting slip-ons? A: Anytime you change the exhaust system on your bike you're changing the back pressure to your engine which in turn affects your Air / Fuel Ratio or A/F causing your bike to run either rich (too much fuel) or lean (not enough fuel). If your bike is carbureted you'll need to rejet your carburetor. This should be done by a professional shop such as your Harley-Davidson Dealership. If your bike is fuel injected you'll need a fuel management system to overide your factory map settings.
Gotta put a cam in a m8, or just a plain engine, , goota make em sound like the old evo engine, two into two, hear each cylinder fire, blow exhaust does that, with 475 cam,,
What's that shit, we in AZ don't have laws on bikes, no helmet, wide open exhaust, we can peel the paint off cars as we pass, and split lanes 80 mph, between cars, you guys up north, just get mopeds,
beefy pavement pounder fatboy sounds good better then stock slip on mufflers are easy to put on then my 2010 fatboy lo slip on good day weather sucks here windy and cold maybe snow nexet wed thur ouch
Yeah I had to buy a set for my Streetbob...the earlier Softails never had muffler gaskets...with the bob I took the stock mufflers off to put the Rineharts on...didn't realize gaskets were required on the new softails...my 2021 Roadking Special didn't require gaskets...just a Softail thing I guess.@@canadiansa1nt309
Jeff got a Pic of my Fatty, he knows, had pic of my compansator ramp in three peices, lol, yea, I don't mess around, I twist it, , Fatty a fat tired, hot rod custom , Breakout a hot rod custom, Harley made em as show off customs, don't make em a low rider, lmao,,

Nothing beats the sound and performance of a Thunderheader.
Got that right, put on the Evo, just badass,
Look and sound killer. Riding weather coming this week man she’s here !
As long as the snow melts quick we should be good to go. 👍
Looks great and doesn’t sound bad either.
I was thinking the same thing 👍
Those slipons look badass on your fatboy. And sound badass too 🤘💀🤘
Thanks. I’d rather not have to put the heat shields back on, but that’s the way she goes.
I’m so glad you got another fat boy. Sorry bout the snow but in a few weeks you won’t even remember it snowed as you take the black beauty down the road.
Thanks. We’ll see how long it takes to melt. It would be nice to get on the road sometime this week.
I went with the medium TAB baffles.
I had to be more obnoxious

I was always interested to know what guys do with the stock exaust they take off
I usually just keep them. But I thought I would see what’s inside one of them.

Great video. Is it necessary to tune the bike after installing the slip-ons?
Thanks. If you’re only doing slip ons you won’t need a tune.
@@canadiansa1nt309 thank you
Great video!
Did you notice any loss of low end or midrange torque after the TAB slip-on install?
If there was any change I didn’t notice it.

the welds are a small disappointment ,, but i would put up with that and leave the shields off , anyways - you can remove or re-fit at your leisure ;
Loud ! But it is indoors. Should be kinder to the ears outdoors.
It should be a little different outside. But. I like it loud
S.G.I.'s new Loud Pipe Policy is set to be implemented, starting this summer. Hopefully you'll be okay.
I think I’ll be alright. The police usually hassle the clubs more than usual folks. Unless they’re obnoxiously loud.

No muffler gaskets on the Fatboy?
Yes, there are gaskets.
