In this video I'm going to teach you how to ease a burn or sunburn fast and naturally.
Three ingredients to help get rid of your burn quickly:
1.) Peppermint Essential Oil (soothes and cools the pain and inflammation)
2.) Lavender Essential Oil (#1 way to ease burns)
3.) Organic Aloe Vera Gel (supports cellular communication for healing)
Other options:
You can add raw honey to these ingredients to create an ointment to rub on your burn area or create a spray by adding water to these three ingredients and pouring into a spray bottle.

Hot oil splashed all down the side of my face while cooking. My skin bubbled up and started to blister. I used aloe, however it still felt like my face was on fire. I used lavender oil, for five seconds it stung horribly---and then the pain completely went away! For two weeks I used aloe and lavender oil and kept the area covered. My face healed without leaving any scars or discoloration.
Did you applied the lavender oil directly to the skin? I'm confused because I buy it and it says on the direction do not use directly on skin.

Initially I did apply it directly to the skin by itself. However, at the time I had aloe gel on the burn prior to applying. Lavender oil is one of three essential oils I have been able to apply to my skin directly without any irritation or adverse affects. I did a skin patch test prior to applying them to my face, however. On the DoTerra website- there are some oils that you can apply directly to your skin topically (like half a drop to on drop).
I did not go to the doctor. There was no infection or red streaks indicating an infection, so I used home remedies. However, if the burn had began to get infected, or looked like it was not healing well I definitely would have sought medical attention. Keeping it covered and safe from infection changing the bandage daily and in the end using a silicone bandage to prevent an hypertrophy in scarring worked well for me. However, if you are burned you should seek medical attention.

I burned my palm with a heat gun running at roughly 500 F. I followed your advice and bathed it in peppermint oil, and quickly found relief from the burning sensation. I slept that night with lavender oil applied to a bandage, and the next day I had no signs of the burn!
Just buy an aloe vera plant and use the gel straight from the plant. Raw honey mixed approximately 50:50 with the aloe gel is an excellent burn dressing. Good to know about the peppermint and lavender essential oils as well. Than you Dr. Axe. Good video.
July 11 2024 writing this at 1 p.m. : I did not have aloe Vera gel, but I did have both Peppermint and Lavender essential oil. I applied them both to middle 3 fingers burned during cooking. Approximately 3 drops each. I burned my fingers at at 11 a.m., applied mixture of essential oil by 12 p.m. and by 1 p.m. pain had subsided and no blisters. Thank you Dr Axe!!!!!

OMG the best recommendation thus far. I mixed a couple of drops of both oils into some aloe Vera juice. The pain came back for a quick minute but quickly subsided. And the blister that was forming instantly chilled out. I did run cold water over it for about 20 minutes 1st. Peppermint and lavender oil are deff supreme at relieving redness. But instead of Aloe or coconut oil which dont seem to absorb very well Ive always found standard skin lotion to work beautifully! I use natures gate which is free of harmful chemicals but any skin lotion works better than Aloe. Guys this is coming from a super mega white guy who gets burned every summer since childhood. I ditched the Aloe a long time ago when I realized regular skin lotion kept the skin hydrated for longer periods of time which stops the itching. It also keeps your skin from peeling during the day when you have to be seen by other people. Use a sponge or loofa each time u shower to scrape off dead skin cells. Reapply lotion after every shower. Great vid by the way Dr Axe.

I tried aloe vera and lavender essential oil on a burn on my leg and it got infected :( I have to go to the doctors now to be put on antibiotics.

It works a treat. I’ve tried it. I make owie spray for everything, the burn is painless in 5 mins. Frank, lavender and teatree with fractionated coconut oil.
Would you please share the recipe: 1/2 water but how much aloe Vera gel, how many drops of peppermint and lavender oil?

I don’t think you should ever apply essential oils on the skin. It literally says on any essential oils:”do not apply it on the skin as it may cause further irritation”; just use a moisturizer and the burn will eventually go away.

I burnt my finger with a big glove when I took something out of the oven and part of my fingers white I put it in cold water put some antibiotic cream with a ghoul and a Band-Aid after an hour and it still hurts really really bad can anyone tell me if I need to do anything else

***** Dr. Axe, I had burned myself while ironing and from the tip of the iron close to the middle, my skin burned. The first thing I did was run my arm in warm water to try and clean it then I wrapped a piece of cloth around it for the night. When I woke up, it changed from being pale white, to dark purple; and it had a bubble. The whole day I just walked around and didn't touch until I took a shower and accidentally scraped it open exposing the skin under which was fleshy pink. I put some hydrogen peroxide on it (really hurt) after a three hour dance I went to getting sweaty, then I had wrraped it with and alcohol patch and tape. What do I do? It still isn't even close to healing, it basically got worse.

I got burned from cooking . Organic onion pulp worked for me when nothing else didn't . I use essential oils regularly but not right after a burn.

I used straight acv :( and I burned myself
@@TiaRoseee use Braggs acv on a small cotton piece but don't saturate to where it's drippy. It won't work if too dry but if it's too wet then it will leak and burn you. Put waterproof tape or cut the tape from waterproof bandaids and around the good skin of the wart or mole tightly and close so not to burn good skin. Put the acv cotton piece on top of the wart and tape down with a bandaid. Now, how long you leave it on depends on you. My experience is once it burns a lil, then the acv has penetrated the wart and its been on to long. Depending on the wart, it might be better to do it once a day or 2 days but once the wart turns gray, it is dying and you can stop and let it harden to a scab. Then it will come off. Don't give it and start gentle. This WORKS, does not matter what kind of wart.
I burned myself badly while cooking yesterday, I had heard about the honey trick, but never knew that I could use peppermint and lavender in this way too so I added the oils to honey and after about five minutes or so the pain (which was unbearable when I took the burn off of ice), was Completely gone. I used the mixture under a Band-Aid while I slept. I don't think I can buy any sort of burn cream ever again.

I got a burn from cooking as soon as I started using this the pain went away. But I had to keep reapplying when it dried. Not a bad thing just kinda Annoying. Would use this again! Thanks for the knowledge!!!

I used pain killer and felt pain, after that the pain went gone after a few minutes. But I suggest you use aloe vera and lavender oil which stings not that hard mine stung very hard when I used pain killer, had to wash away the pain killer. Now I used aloe vera after pain killer

its probably not a good idea to put something that burns on a burn.
