Dude, you are my kind of woodworker. From your modest shop to your flip flops I truly appreciate how you keep it simple for guys like me who have basic skills
Thanks for sharing. Pine - It looks great. There is nothing wrong with pine. And heck, you can always stain it to give a different look/feel. When I first saw the thumbnail, I swear that closet looked huge. You definitely added some class there. Keep it up. Subscribed!
I absolutely love this video. I am going through renovation of my master bedroom and add to it walk in closet that it was lacking. Watching your video definitely inspired me. Thank you sir. Btw music was very relaxing.
Far out man! That's looks awesome! Bloody well done mate 👏... appreciating your workmanship, style and humor from the Westcoast, South Island, New Zealand... Stay awesome brother 🙏
I knew the moment you stopped with the track saw what you'd done! Tough to cut into your work surface. Really tough to cut into your tool! Nice job persevering.
Same here because I did the same thing and laughed my ass off at that point in the video. But great job man hope you can upgrade to some hardwood soon!
Great video mate, you just popped up on my YT feed, the walk in robe came out an absolute treat. The wife would like to know what those pink plants are outside your workshop?
Thanks. They’re Hawaiian Ti. They’re a great low maintenance option. Easy to propagate too. Just cut and stick in the ground. I have them all over my yard. All from just a few plants. Cheers
Love watching budget builds turn out beautiful. Incredibly satisfying and it's important for beginners to see things like this. Most of the YT content creators would have you believe if you're not buying $1k's worth of baltic birch, that it won't come out well. What part of Florida are you in? I'm in Central FL. Hernando County.
I think there's a lot of value in doing what you are with limited resources. It'll be fun to see what happens when you end up being able to use better materials.
I discovered with my second entire-house trim-out that if you add one or two custom S4S profiles to your regular big box profiles, the end result looks custom. Regular people notice something is different too, and a seasoned carpenter will immediately notice the non standard pieces while he’s feeling your joints & corners either secretly or obviously lol. Any window and door store will also offer moldings that are unusual and not terribly expensive if ordered out of poplar
great video! Very nice. Not sure if I missed it but what were the overall dimensions? Have something similar in our master bedroom I've been trying to figure out how to work with.
15:22 I managed to rip plywood sheets in half accurately on my table saw and I don’t have any supporting tables. My saw table is a bit bigger, but I had to free hand it the way you did.
Do you have a link to the plywood cut calculator software? I'll be building some cabinets for the living room soon and wouldn't mind letting the computer do all of that work figuring out how to optimize the plywood. I feel your pain on availability of quality plywood. I too am in a rural area, the nearest quality lumber supplier is 60 miles away.
If you google plywood cut optimizer. You’ll find a few different options. I mixed it up based on how they produce the cuts and what features they offer. For example, step by step cut lists. Thanks for watching
Try a 50/50 mix (or whatever ratio you want) of white latex paint and water for a cheap white wash before you add polycrylic next time--it gives the pine a lighter look.
I understand budgets differ for everyone, but please consider a better quality plywood in the future. Yes I understand it's a closet, yes I understand it's still decent looking enough. But also consider that you spend a lot of time building everything and your labor is way more in value that another $200 for a quality veneer ply won't be much after it's all done. 👍
Great job and I love your backyard shop! Do you find those drawer pulls catch onto clothing? I’ve not been a fan of those type of pulls for closets. A curved notch out of the face at the top of the drawer instead of a pull eliminates the protrusion, but they do tend to collect more dust inside the drawer.
Love the closest. I love your videos. You are very entertaining 😂.
Thanks
Looks great!
Thanks for watching!! 🎉
Something about your videos is so soothing and entertaining...you've got a gift for this stuff man
I appreciate the kind words. I do enjoy doing this and I’m glad it shows through. Thanks for watching

Haha, I think osha would disagree. Thanks for the kind words and for watching
Aesthetically and economically pleasing . Nice work Sir , also liked that the music was at a subtle volume 😎
Thanks for the constructive feedback
Great job, love the end result. Happy for you the new shop is working out!

I’m not going to lie. Im kind of digging the utilitarian look of it, industrial cozy. Thanks for the sub and for tuning in.
Really impressive! Great job! Subscribed
Nice work on this project 👌 Appreciate the humor too.
Thanks for watching

That’s so awesome to hear. You got this, thanks for watching
Great job. I would have edge banded the drawer fronts. Last thing I want it to pull out clothes and get a snag or splinter.
I thought about it. I ended up sanding them down to 220 so there smooth
Great job mate. You have skills, not just woodworking, but also content making. New subscriber.
That means a lot. Thank you for the kind words
Hey man this looks great! I'm trying to remodel my builder grade closet and this video will really help. Thanks so much.
Awesome, glad it helped. Thanks
Far out man! That's looks awesome! Bloody well done mate 👏... appreciating your workmanship, style and humor from the Westcoast, South Island, New Zealand...
Stay awesome brother 🙏
Must love. Thanks for watching
Looks great! Good job, my kids were amazed also!
Thanks Sandra 😊
Great job for keeping it good looking while staying within the budget.
Thank you for the kind words and thanks for watching

Same here because I did the same thing and laughed my ass off at that point in the video. But great job man hope you can upgrade to some hardwood soon!
Haha, thanks for confidence.
11:30 I don't think I've seen that trick about using the face frame and saw kerf to set your reveals before-very cool tip!
Thanks
Love the way your vision turned out. As far as my closet….. that’s a scary story! 🤪
Love you
This is awesome!!! You did a fantastic job!!!
Thanks

Looks great! I need to do something similar in my house. I hate our wire shelving.
Thanks. It really is the worst
Great job, and well presented!
Thanks
Good work Beau!

Haha, you’re right about that. I can only dream of glorious Baltic Birch. I’m out with the cows in Okeechobee county. Thanks for watching
The end result came out great. As you were using the track saw on the table saw and outfeed I was thinking, "where is the foam board!?"
Enjoyed this.
I think there's a lot of value in doing what you are with limited resources. It'll be fun to see what happens when you end up being able to use better materials.
You’re absolutely right. Thanks for watching

Yeah, I’m ready to start experimenting with different style as I get a little more comfortable. Thanks for great response and for watching
great video! Very nice. Not sure if I missed it but what were the overall dimensions? Have something similar in our master bedroom I've been trying to figure out how to work with.
Thanks. The closet is 72”w x 69”L. The cabinet is 47w x 22d x 40 h. This allowed me to use less plywood
Looks really nice at the end, but didn't you initially put the drawers in the wrong order? 8:14
Nice catch. One of many bonehead blunders on this build. Thanks for watching
Awesome brother! Love to see real everyday shops.
What part of Fl are you in? I’m in Sarasota, we have some pretty good lumber places here.
Oh nice, thanks. I’m out in cow town Okeechobee. Any places you recommend for pre finished ply?
15:22 I managed to rip plywood sheets in half accurately on my table saw and I don’t have any supporting tables. My saw table is a bit bigger, but I had to free hand it the way you did.
I definitely get more accurate results with my track. I have a baby table saw though 😂

That’s a great idea 😉
Link for that stud finder?
I had it for years. I can’t find the company makes them anymore. It’s a shame cause it has the strongest magnets
Thanks. Awesome build.
Shops at big box store, uses scrap from around the shop, cheapest way possible. I feel seen.
Very clean build and video 👏👏
I’m cheap to a fault 😂
@@Beau_BuildsI think you get it from 20 years of me! 😂
I’m just here to comment on the “21, can ya do Som’n for me!!”
I still have a bit of jeunesse in these old bones. Although my boys would disagree. Thanks for watching
really nice job turning crappy HD ply into something really nice!!!
Thanks so much
What program were you using for the cut list?
It’s not a program. Just Google cut list optimizer

You’re very about the labor cost. Unfortunately I’m in a pretty rural area and good materials are over an hour drive. Thanks for watching
Dude mice closet 😂
There’s no stinking rats. 😂

They’re definitely not my favorite but at $0.75 a piece it’s hard to find cheaper. Thanks for watching
