Just bought this wheel specifically for ATS as well, and watched this in anticipation of delivery. Now I’m extra excited. Thank you for the super helpful, and explanatory video. I’ve never tried a real force feedback wheel and that was definitely one of my requirements. Plus to see that you had the real wheel perfectly in sync with the games wheel was a real relief, I had seen other people who didn’t calibrate that correctly and i was just left thinking “oh no, that would bother me” but I can see now after a little playing around you can iron that out. Bit of a rant but tl;dr thank you!

@@ShayArson yes I’ve had it a month now and it makes ats 10x more fun!! Be prepared to spend an hour button mapping but I would 100% buy again

This video should have more views. also, as far as tumbleweeds go, we don't have them here where I live in western CO, but drive through the flat bits in northern Texas and you'll get them lol. I hit one once that was as big as my truck as i was going down the highway. had to stop and fish it out of my grill haha. happy trucking :)

I just bought my first actual gaming computer, it’s arriving Monday. I’ve played ATS on my old computer before. I’m gonna get a new steam account and start over with ATS, but ty for this review, I’ve been looking at different wheel setups. I don’t need anything extravagant, I’m a real life truck driver so after a 14 hour day I don’t want to recreate my stress, lol 😂. And I’m just like you, I love simulation games single player, but I do want to try ATS multiplayer. Ty for this video
Just watched this, I know it's a year old and you've probably already figured it out but the clamps for the wheel have extenders on them by default that you can remove and then it will fit on your desk.

Good video. I need a new wheel. My 17 year old Logitec momo force konked out. I wonder if there is a new Logitec coming anytime soon? I wish they did not add the bumps on the inside. No actual race wheel has these.

just got this wheel, couldn't be more happy with it, the brake is a pain, im most likely going to remove the rubber band as i read it makes the brake much better
I have the g920 as well but I can’t seem to get the wheel sensitivity right to make it turn in game exactly how it turns in real life. Like just realistic. Can you tell me how you got your wheel to be 1-1 in game to your wheel irl please?

3:22 you was waiting wheel for catch up cause "sensitivity" was very unsensitivity by deafault slider settings.

@@xipswich actually really great so far! Truck sim is great just annoying to set it up but once it’s going it goes great. Forza is definitely the hardest one. So far the best game for me so far is F1 2020. But definitely a lot of fun so far.
@@kylogreen7889 I mainly want it for ATS as well. Did you use a video to help fix your issues with setting up the wheel with ATS?
@@xipswich I actually found in the settings like a set up wizard to detect the controls. At first it wasn’t detecting my pedals at all but once I looked and actually went in depth with the set up wizard on the game it all was fine after that.

Yes. The panel is a USB device and will work...I have it. You may have already found that out by now but just incase I replied.
I can't find a wheel that I like with two pedels and auto transmission. Do you have some advise? The reason can't use left leg.

I have the simple automatic setup in the game settings can you have it set up you can put the truck in reverse when dropping off trailers or at a reset stop have to back into a parking space my desk that I use right now is belongs to my sister and the table is glass so I really don't want to put this or any steering wheel and it not big enough either and my gaming laptop is 17.3 so that takes up a huge amount of space on the desk and we don't have anywhere to store this desk at the time because my mom does not want this desk in the attic because it glass

I'm going back and forth It looks like a really nice wheel but it is pricy, I got ATS and wanted to use a wheel because I am constantly hitting A and D buttons to stay in my lane. I hope I can get it eventually, also great review you made me want to get it even more. the cheapest I can find it at is $250. I am only 13 and that would be all of my money gone.
Use the mouse as wheel, works way better than the keyboard.

Does this do well with Euro Truck Simulator 2 as well? I play that and ATS but I'm mainly on ETS2.

I really want to get this. probably won't get the shifter though. my truck of choice is 18 speed, so a 6 speed shifter won't work for me
For anyone wondering most trucks are a normal h shifter with a splitter and high and low setting. They are two separate switches which enable the half gears and higher level gears.

Pretty sure 900 degrees would be 2 and a half rotation but maybe it’s 450 degrees either way???? Confused

Is this setup compatable with Euro truck simulator 2? Since it is made by the same company that made American truck simulator.
Also I seen some videos of other truckers made a modification to use a real CB Mic.

Its not 900 degree its only 445 degree ... so according to logitech 445 degree left + 445 right = 900 degree..logitech is fuckin cheater
And you're bad at math. 445+445=890
The G29 WILL FAIL in less than a month. Nobody knows how to fix it. Find something else.
